WE TRULY CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF THIS SONG & EVERYTHING GROWN JK HAS TO OFFER US.
But we’re a little perturbed…many of you informed us that JK went live last night and sang “SEVEN” acapella…TWO HOURS after we finished our recording for today’s video 😩🤯🫢🤬😡🥵
Looks like we'll have to practice some delayed gratification and save it for later this month when the “SEVEN” ‘behind the cam’ comes out.
Now that we’ve got that off our chest...we’d like to thank you to all of you who have sent us comments, messages, memes, videos, and personal anecdotes over the past several days, detailing your own experiences and reactions to "SEVEN." They’ve kept us alive and highly entertained…and after reading through ALL of them, we can confidently say that we now understand why people like reaction videos so much: No two people perceive or interpret a song (or a piece of art) in exactly the same way!
And that’s the beauty of it…EVERYBODY’S REACTION IS UNIQUE & shaped by their own individual life experiences, beliefs and perspectives. Our collective experience of "SEVEN" becomes a BEAUTIFUL tapestry of emotions and thoughts, woven together by the threads of our individuality 🫶🏼

But it was hilarious to watch Jared's reactions to you. This was a good one. And the meme's -- you could spend days on twitter and TT with these memes and videos. I don't know if you guys have ever heard this, but once on Weverse, Tae said that "ARMY is not funny" I can't remember what prompted that statement but ever since then when meme's like this occur you'll often find comments like, "and Tae says ARMY isn't funny" or "ARMY is funny" and I think that's all funny.

Jungkook is saying, look at me I’m the baby, I’m innocent. Surprise didn’t see that coming! No it’s not the first time they have cursed in a song it’s just more in your face. You want a solo debut? Here it is! You expect this maybe from the rap line but not baby JK. The baby has snapped. No More Baby! An under layer of anger and frustration (Trusfration) Because true army feels this way… BTS has got to be sick and tired of antis removing their masculinity, calling them feminine, not desirable, the labels XCeleste highlighted in the hardship video. Western artists are lifted to have so much heart and meaning in their music. The fans are so loyal and they talk about it over and over. But BTS has been doing this, for years! Making meaningful relatable content for fans. But when BTS does it all they see is a k- pop. Categorize them as only Butter sound. Interviewers cut Army and BTS off before they finish a thought. Hosts have the opportunity to really dig into their process. But most don’t, recently GMA, they are unprofessional, don’t do their research and speak to them like they are children, rookies. All that being said. JK says I got something for you! With a side of sexy borahae. Jungkook made a statement and let his music and performance speak for him. I hope he wasn’t pressured from Korean to English translation what he wanted to convey (including an explicit version). Going by the rest of the song lyrics I see no disconnect though. We can always trust that Bangtan will speak their truth in their music. This is JK’s coming out party. A turning point in his career and maybe we will find out more when the full album is released. Choreography/Performance video: JK and his four fellows have a relationship. Let me clarify. It’s a life experience. JK entered the space as the man of the hour and topic of discussion. They slide on the floor (switching their legs running in place) supporting him and hyping him up on his quest of having a banging week (yes pun!). For most of the video the backup dancers are circled around him, like an entourage. There aren’t many varied formations or any time JK is way on the other side and the dancers are separated from him. There is one point in the second chorus they make a diagonal line, it’s like they are his shadow. After the seventh day he has found a confidence, now they do a groovy bounce. I don’t know about anyone else but when I see anyone spread their feet, sway and bounce like that it means you got it going on! The rap starts and it’s like they are sending him off to play. The high fives. The coolest part is you can tell the guys around him are having just as much fun, maybe living vicariously through him. Or telling their own “days a week”. On the very last chorus. JK is different. He has “wings” to fly. He spins with his leg up and waves his arm, he’s feeling himself now. The other four are in unison but having their own version of a good time. Joining back in on the bounce step. “Every second” They all point to the imaginary watch and do what can’t call other than a shuffle wiggle. That’s my favorite step. Interpret that move as, time don’t stop for no one and I’m going to make the best of every second. You’re on “My Time!” The choreography is lyrical and literal if he’s talking about shoulders he’s going to accent his shoulders. If he’s talking about “deeper than the ocean” he’s going to swim. Once again simple, so everyone can understand (like Mel said). I really like the quality of movement in this video it’s an aesthetic I gravitate to when creating, and how they syncopate steps within the counts of the music. Bravo to the choreographers, performing it for the first time live and to Jungkook for this record breaking solo debut!

As a German I am pretty much used to musicians using the F-bomb and seeing JK's performance to the explicit version had me cheering for him even more. Both are close friends and they have said many times that they always share songs and playlists. Jimin and Hobi even said in a Japanese interview that the little bastards (their own words, not mine! haha) always find new music together but never share it with the other members 😄Hobi also said in his livestream before enlisting that V and JK often go to karaoke together or sing together. If you follow V on Insta you can also see that he posts more often about hanging out and doing things together with Jk and his actor friends (Wooga Squad). They have been good friends even as Trainees.

I replied with, well here in the US it's not a shock when artists talk about sex, violence, drugs and money cuz thats really all they sing about. In Korea, especially BTS, their music is poetry to melody and actually has substance. Also, it's a shocker cuz our Jungkookie went out the norm and expressed some sexual-ness lol. I know he didn't write the lyrics, as with BTS's all English songs, but you see the pattern?? 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️ Don't get me wrong, I say fk all the time and sex isn't a dirty or taboo subject to me. I just appreciate the fact that the guys are different (and IMO above) American mainstream standards However, Butter and Dynamite are my jams tho. Regardless, this song, especially the alternative version is a bop and sonically I liked that more. Thanks for the reaction guys. Definitely a proud and exciting moment being a fan of both. I also got to learn some of the choreo at a dance class early this week!!!! It was so much fun and the vibes were immaculate. Also, I love the summer mix. I just rotate between the three different version. I like the summer mix for when I drive towards the beach hahah. It also give me Las Vegas beach club vibes 😂. 2023-07-19 07:07:57 +0000 UTCafter watching the behind the scenes spotify interview, when asked how JK was feeling about the release of "seven" JK pretty much said he was feeling good but had mixed feelings, saying he was looking forward to people's reactions but was also a bit worried. i think he might've been slightly worried about how fans would react to him singing a song with such explicit lyrics but it ended up working perfectly, the vast majority of ppl love the song and are embracing this new side of JK. he has been shining so much lately and like you guys said he seems so free (like the other members when they release their solo stuff). JK is a very free spirited individual in general but this new "more mature" side like JK described himself is definitely welcomed and i can't wait to see what he'll do with his album, especially considering how he wants to do multiple different genres. love your reactions and your commentary guys!

2023-07-19 02:04:42 +0000 UTCI know you remember their mentor Bang PD asked RM a very wise question in one of the videos you reacted on - “are you listening to music?” And so we know they all do this as a means of educating themselves and expanding their creativity and appreciation for good music. JK shows that they’ve been practicing this until now. You’d catch him sharing songs on his vlives (and even shared particular songs to Army when he still had his instagram account) from different artists, different genres and/or countries. Songs he really liked that he just had to share them. There were popular ones but a lot of them were also from small artists you wouldn’t have discovered so easily. Majority of these small artists were so stumped to have caught his attention and thanked him for bringing interest (and new fans) to their songs. I found great new artists/songs through those shares of his. And it makes me appreciate JK more in his kindness and artistry.

Definitely we wouldn't have become friends and met in person if it weren't for the two of you...so thank you. In global age, JK signed his contract with BigHit a couple of months before his 14th birthday and left home for good. He was 15 (global) when they debuted. He wasn't kidding when he said the members raised him...but now he's had enough of that baby persona (I'm sure he's seen some stuff from a young age growing up in a house full of young guys🤣) Clearly JK heard your request for an acoustic version and went Live to do one for you. Funny story: My family and I was on our way to church when I got the notification of the dance performance video. My children and I are huge BTS fans. My oldest daughter shares the same birthday as RM and My youngest son wants to go to Korea to hang out with RM at his house. Lol, he’s six. I blasted the video from my phone and positioned the phone so they can watch the video not thinking about the choreography or lyrics. JK dropped the “f” bomb and I immediately started fumbling with my phone to turn it off. I looked at my husband who was driving.He kept his eyes on the road and said nothing at all. 2023-07-18 21:22:53 +0000 UTCin case anyone doesn’t know why i have the little 7 it’s a army thing, mostly on twitter. we started doing it when mots 7 came out and it’s become a way to indicate that you’re an ot7 army and not a solo. i use it on all of my army related usernames out of habit! also idk if anyone’s told you but we just got two remixes of seven not just summer! summer and band. you gotta give band a listen bc it’s great! i personally like the band more but both are so much fun! for me personally i don’t mind when artists get help and don’t do everything themselves. as long as they are involved in the making in some way and actually believe what they’re singing about. my problem comes from people that have no involvement whatsoever and just get handed a completely finished song. it almost always comes off as disingenuous and you can tell they just don’t have the passion for it. so like even if jungkook isn’t writing it himself. he’s still heavily involved in the process with what topics he’s singing bc he picks his songs, melodies for the songs, and how to sing it.
