"SUCHWITA" (ep.3) - SUGA with TAEYANG (+ ‘VIBE’ LIVE PERFORMANCE!)

In previous reaction videos, we’ve mentioned how fascinating it would be for the members of BTS to create their own “podcasts.” Well…they’re always one step ahead of all of us.
“Suchwita” is a FREAKING TELEVISION-STYLE PRODUCTION that features Suga chatting with guests while enjoying alcohol. Though we haven’t yet seen the first two episodes, where Suga interviews RM and Shin Dong Yup…today, we dive into Episode 3 to witness Suga enjoying some food and non-alcoholic beverages with one of his ultimate inspirations: TAEYANG!!!

Seventeen is another fantastic group (also self-produced/written, similar to BTS) and they have 17 members. Hoshi and Suga have some very interesting discussion and show a lot of respect to one another and I really think it's worth watching!

I had stars in my eyes the whole time 🤩 Now, you HAVE to react to the one with RM. It's such a different vibe (no pun intended 😂) but just as wonderful. Of course the dynamic is very different but that's what makes those two discussions so complementary. RM and Suga have known each other for at least 12 years now so it's two old friends talking about everything they have shared together. Whereas Suga has always admired Taeyang from afar so it's with utter respect that he leads this conversation. And you're right, Suga's nervousness is everything 🥰

I learned to play Wedding Dress on piano. My point, seeing my og favs work with my ultimate favs brings me such a heartwarming feeling. I pray one day other members might work together (although Jay Park should stop putting his foot in his mouth first). Thanks for this reaction guys!!! 💜💜

They are not released in English in full yet, but you can see a few little segments that are in English. Hopefully it won’t be long before it’s all available in English. ‘The Dictionary of Useless Human Knowledge’ is a journey that explores all human beings in the world from various perspectives so that one may be able to find a new side to themselves. The show features 6 individuals with different backgrounds in knowledge and expertise. RM will co-MC the show with film director Jang Hang Joon. Also, V just wrapped up filming a reality show in Mexico and I think it’s going to be available on February 24!

I wasn't the biggest fan of this track when it came out because the production felt really thin and lifeless, and Taeyangs vocals didn't really pop like they usually do. But this acoustic set? PERFECTIONNN it showcased their voices so well and added so many fun textures with the organic instruments. The talk was so genuine and heartwarming, I recommend you guys check out the first episode with RM because that's still my favourite so far!

You can see how much respect and admiration BTS has for BigBang. there are many clips of Jimin and the members dancing Taeyang's choreo or singing their songs and really that was how I got to know who Taeyang and Bigbang was. I also love how Yoongi talked about Jimin, you can tell they are brothers with the confidence in sharing these tidbits. You can also see the same respect and admiration Taeyang has for BTS. This collab was so unexpected and didn't even think this was possible. 2023-02-01 09:06:06 +0000 UTCI didn't know much about Taeyang before this collab, I just knew Jimin was a big fan of his, and that Big Bang was a popular group from the gen before BTS. It's so interesting to hear about them from BTS' perspective, and so cool to see BTS members interact with people that they look up to so much! And I do respect Taeyang a lot, he comes off really gracious and a good listener like you said. Also find it so interesting whenever someone comments on just how hard working Jimin is. As Suga said, he's had to work hard to develop a lot of the things we consider effortless for him today. To me Jimin's work ethic is really one of his defining qualities and it's one of the reasons he's so inspiring. And yasss I love this live version of Vibe!!! The live band, raw vocals, the energy, *chef's kiss* - thanks for checking it out! I wish they would release it as another version haha

I’d only heard of BigBang but I knew nothing about the group as a whole or the member only that they are big to Korean music history and that guys are huge fans. But now that I’ve heard his voice and seen this interview in particular, I think I need to look into him. He seems like such a grounded and intelligent person, not to mention he’s extremely talented. He’s definitely gained a fan in me and I can’t wait to see what is solo album will be like. Also I love Yoongi in this. He’s such a fan and the conversation they had together was so deep and smooth. He asked some amazing questions and Taeyang gave beautiful advice. I could watch them talk to each other all day. They’re both very wise

The format was basically a different pairing, one interviewer, and the other responds. At that time I was a baby army, even tho they all did well, in my objective opinion, I thought suga was the best interviewer. He interviewed V andwas so good at sounding genuine, transitioning and asking intelligent questions, while making it sound naturally conversational. I can see why his show here is so good. I think he has a masters in broadcasting? But like I said they all did great interviewing each other, better than many interviewers they run into honestly. Idk these dudes are just so good at everything lol. They’re professional, hard working and have good vision of how things should be executed. Thanks for all the content guys, it’s gonna get me to 2025 haha. PS I LOVE anytime BTS does acoustic! I wish they did more lol

After watching this episode I went back and watched the live performance and you can hear Taeyang’s influence of Jimin’s voice. Their voices almost sound identical, even the way they pronounce their words are the same. It’s incredible! I’m so happy for them! Life is about building great connections! You also have to react to the very first episode with RM being Suga’s guest. You will be surprised hearing about the things that they share about their future. I bet you would really vibe with Taeyang’s music (pun intended) - his discography is immaculate, especially “Eyes, Nose, Lips” and his album “White Night” which is an R&B masterpiece. He's one of the quieter, more reserved members of Big Bang personality-wise, but as a performer, he's powerful, charismatic, and well, romantic! haha he's such a great song writer. And omg, the wisdom that was oozing off this man in this interview. I was a fan of BBig Bang back when they debuted. They were untouchable. No one had a sound like theirs. If you give Taeyang a listen (as you should), don't just stop at Eye, Nose, Lips or Wedding Dress. The few albums and music videos he's had over the years are so so good. Looooove his voice.

I get teary every time I listen to it. My personal fave of bangtan's songs to their fans. I must see your reactions to that one. It's such a pretty song too.

It was almost unheard of for a well known YG and SM artist, for example, to be on one song together, performing and with a music video. It just didn't happen, not like in America. I always wondered why, but just chalked it up to weird politics in the music industry in Korea. So something like this? BTS and Big Bang on one song together? Historic, really.

JK actually decided to want to become an idol after hearing GDRAGON, the group's leader, singing/rapping. The 3 Maknae Line members were always trying to immitate them. I started listening to BigBang right in their debut years but I was just a casual listener, I wasn't a VIP or anything. I started gravitating towards Taeyang when he released his SOLAR album around 2008 which completely went viral in the east and west. I live in Canada and let me tell you Wedding Dress would be playing in my school speakers before our national anthem, it was that popular! Taeyang's entire album and solo career was very successful and I followed his music up until his second solo album. Later I had the chance to attend BigBang's concert over 10 years ago when they came to Toronto and it was a fantastic show, I wish I could remember more of it but it was like a huge party XD I later fell out of love with kpop and as I was on my way out I Need U fell into my lap one day in 2015 and I started listening to BTS's music and I finally became an ARMY in 2017. I fell out of my chair when I heard Jimin playing Wedding Dress bc it has so many memories for me from highschool and Jimin from middle school. Long story short, Suga is asking all the questions I would have asked Taeyang as a long-time fan and he did an amazing job in this interview conveying his feelings as a fan of Taeyang's music and as a person. I love the respect they both had for each other and how genuine the entire episode was. Thank you for reacting and I really recommend you react to SOLAR album from Taeyang if you ever get the chance, every song is a banger!
