POST CONCERT DEPRESSION (PCD)
DEFINITION #1: The feeling you get a few days after attending a BTS concert (in-person or online) that causes you to involuntarily stare off into space and wonder if you actually watched the concert, or if it was all a dream. You may find yourself saying: “I want to go back and relive the experience all over again.” (SOURCE: Patron Crystal)
DEFINITION #2: The whiplash from being in a state of euphoric escapism for 2+ hours, only for it to abruptly end; the hangover after the drunk; the crash after the sugar high. (SOURCE: Patron uchenna)

This Weverse Live was the PCD medication we have been looking for! Watching JK, V, Jimin and J-Hope scarf down a seemingly endless supply of spicy noodles, sip on some well-deserved champagne, debate whether or not ARMY farts, and gently ease our bodies and minds back into reality, was exactly what we needed.

I'm in my own BTS bubble as people around me aren't super interested so I don't really bother them with the content - which is why I love going on this journey with you guys, because I feel like there's a shared appreciation for their music, personalities, talent, everything! I'm happy of my little bubble and a way to escape into the BTS world whenever I need. Fingers crossed for at least one more piece of Jimtober content, pretty please!

It still feels surreal that I was at the concert in Busan just a week ago, seeing the boys singing, dancing, talking in front of me, hearing ARMYs fanchants and cheers in the stadium. It also includes all the built up excitement over the weeks before the concert, all the amazing experiences I had during my trip in SK. It's like it ended abruptly, not to mention their last announcement. I went through so many emotions, it was overwhelming and it almost feels like I sometimes blacked out. Even when they came on weverse live right after the show, I was already questioning if I did really just saw them. I know it takes some time to recover. Since I came back, I feel empty and down, finding myself zoning out and not being able to focus at work. I recommend practicing mindfulness which helps bring awareness to your body, mind, and feelings in the present moment. And I will cherish and keep those precious memories close to my heart anyway. Also watching BTS content and your reactions is healing 💜

2022-10-22 04:13:13 +0000 UTCBTS always comes live after concerts and different things like live performances at award shows! This is partly to help us with PCD, and it helps them with it as well. They’ve said after the rush of performing at a concert etc. and then going back to the hotel room, that that’s hard sometimes. So there is no agenda for them going live as it’s just literally them hanging out with us a bit more. Nothing extravagant happens on purpose, we’re just being each other’s safety zone- as Hobi (J-Hope) would say- for a little longer. Once you’ve spent years with them, you’ll see that the PCD gets harder and harder and it’s to a degree the same for them. When they can, they’ll do fireworks at the end of their concerts so that army is happy and not upset as BTS leaves. You’ve learned that BTS pays attention to what army tells them (letters, messages, etc) and hearing that armys would become so miserable after a concert, BTS wanted to do some thing. So coming live whether it’s for them or us helps, even when nothing happens on the live and it’s just fun. It brings everyone back to reality, but reality where we both exist.

Just one more thing, I realized that I’m no longer a baby ARMY when I can call them by their REAL NAMES — Namjoon, Yoongi, Seokjin, Hoseok, Taehyung... Means I’ve watched a good amount of episodes from their shows (BON VOYAGE, SOOP and RUN BTS) where they call themselves by their real names. I was like “look at that, I can call them by their real names. We’re like friends friends.” 😂💜💜💜 Speaking of RUN BTS, If you have time, you should check out their most RECENT EPISODE last week (parts 1 and 2). Don’t worry cause it’s not connected with any older episodes. First time they tried Flying Yoga on that episode... oh I was laughing my butt off all throughout. Lots of stretching, screaming, panicking and laughing involved. 😄😂 🤣 They're sooo goofy and relatable af. The instructor runs around like crazy figuring out who to help first. HILARIOUS!!! LOL! Many times Armys ask themselves are the BTS we saw moments ago on stage really the same people we see in those vlives. They just give us so many sides of their personality. I think you really are ready for Outro Tear now. Ready to understand why it is such an emotional song. Especially when I see the live performance at Wembley I can't hold my tears. The song means so much to BTS but on top of that Outro Tier has had a huge impact on my life. It has given me a safe place to cry all the bad memories away. You will get the feeling you are fully inside the rabbit hole eventually. I think it's the time when you know about their personality and won’t get surprised about something they do on different shows. We will be here to guide you guys to that point and even beyond it.

My boyfriend and I have been fans of BTS for many years now and it has been one of the most fulfilling journeys of my life. I do not know if there is a right or wrong way to navigate your descent into BTS, but I do think that it might make more sense linearly for you guys to react to the Rise of Bangtan and the accompanying songs from each chapter so you do not end up getting too confused lol. Outro Tear is my favorite rapline song, but I think the meaning of the song might not be as impactful if you skip ahead to that particular era of BTS. Reacting to the Cyphers does not spoil anything for you guys in your journey. I hope that makes sense ! Often during the lives, the members particularly V, will notice the comment section is flooded with “yoongi marry me!”, even if suga isn’t even there lol. So without fail, every live, a member will point it out, or even say it during a concert and suga gets all shy and flustered. It’s really cute. Speaking of suga, he once said: you’ll like BTS music, if you listen without prejudice. That is a fact and the biggest understatement lol. Their music hits you. I’m glad you guys got to see a whole concert. Up until now, you’ve seen a lot of their earlier stuff which goes pretty hard. But here you got to see the sheer versatility, and their performance and artistry are of the highest levels and quality. They take pride in every small detail. I remember watching them on tiny desk, even tho they were sitting down, they were just as engaging as to when they’re dancing. There are a lot of kpop artists out there, artists in general, but BTS are not only talented, they create a connection with the music and us fans that no other artist is comparable. They are truly once in a generation artists and performers. And lastly, they just make people feel good and inspired.

When I was writing the melody at the time, we were deeply contemplating whether we should quit or not. When I played the song for the members we all cried together"😟💜

It feels so nice to have a community that loves the same people that you do and think the same way as you. 💜 I was supposed to go to the Map of the Soul Tour in 2020 but because of Covid everything was canceled and i still haven’t seen them live 😥 I have hope for 2025 though!

One quick addition: Fireworks at the very end of a concert is their way to distract Army from them leaving the stage. They want us to look up while they are going down the stairs. And especially this time we all needed the fireworks, maybe BTS themselves needed them the most💜 They will miss us a lot, just as we will miss them.

He said they follow him everywhere 😆 I find it amazing that the members have known their plans about enlistment, probably for months. Their friend Chris Martin knew before the world, via working on Jin's solo song. Which shows how personal and private this situation is to them. I hope they feel less of a burden. They kept saying in recent months to trust them and reassuring us that BTS are forever. I believe them. You guys will feel less Baby ARMY when you have listened to all their albums. There is no shortcuts, I just went in order era by era Album, lyrics, MVs, Performances. Their music is the 1st reason why I'm ARMY.

But I would suggest you to look at it this way. BTS has grown naturally, they are today that good because of the process they lived. Rise of Bangtan is of real help you follow that path without having to go though each individual piece of content. You will definitely will want to rewatch everything in detail again once you have done a first run. Luckily there are many things happening at the moment, so you are experiencing both, discovering them at the same time, which is amazing. If there is special content that you PERSONALLY want to watch, feel free to do it. Not everything should be included in a reaction. For example, the drone show is not directly BTS related in a sense that the members don't show up, but it was a beautiful show if you want to watch it. For me that I'm online 18/7 hahaha is there too much content to watch, sometimes fan made edits are amazing to summarise what we missed. You could watch those too. There are many fancams(videos from people attending the concert) showing the members behavior when the camera is not on them which are also very interesting. Finally, just wanted to share how I live with my PCD, my BTS Spotify playlist at random and rewatching old concerts AND the same concert over and over again. The varying emotions that you two experienced was what all of us ARMY go through each time, it's like discovering them all over again. To answer your question of "why does it always feel like we are just at the beginning?' Well, because they never stop giving. They never stop showing a new side to themselves or even helping us ARMY discover something new about ourselves. They are our forever artists, so you can expect this to always feel like a beginning and never an ending. As for PCD, I have yet to successfully find a way to work through it BUT knowing I am not alone gives me solace. I will often go to my fellow ARMY and just talk, whether it's about the concert, our lives or just BTS. Ever since I discovered BTS and became a fan, ARMY has been there for me through thick and thin, we are a family that sticks together through all the hardships and happy moments because of those 7 amazing men that have dedicated their lives to their craft and to us. Like the lyrics say in Spring Day "The morning will come again because no darkness or no season can last forever". Forever with BTS, forever an ARMY.

Thank you for brightening my endless troublesome day. I really needed a smile today. My small comments on the video today, 1. Yes, these 7 multimillionaire men will fight over a 20% coupon & share a sandwich with each other. They might be ambassadors for million dollar top companies like Louis Vuitton & Samsung but do not be fooled, they are one of the most humbled human beings you’ll truly ever know. 2. Seaweed Soup is a Korean dish that is to be eaten on one’s birthday as a tradition in honor of a Korean mythology. Jimin mentioned he ate seaweed soup for his birthday for good luck & Jungkook said he ate it too. The members asked why & he said, for good luck even though it was Jimin’s birthday. It was a funny joke lol 3. MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE PART OF THE ENTIRE LIVE: the spicy noodles! “BUDAK” is the brand name of the spicy Korean noodles. I think in the U.S some may refer it to as “Nuclear noodles” EXTREMELY SPICY. V, accidentally said the brand name which I thought was hilarious since for obvious reasons the company wouldn’t want BTS to say brand name items unless they endorse them BUT BTS DO NOT CARE LOL. All members are so carefree, honest, & down to Earth that they really forget all rules given to them lol. It shows how that BTS are absolutely comfortable with ARMYs no matter what. It’s so small yet it makes a world of a difference for the relationship between BTS x BTS ARMYs. Again, I cannot thank you guys enough for all of these BTS contents. 2022-10-21 04:38:40 +0000 UTCI remember after going to PTDLA, I just sat up the night before I had to go back to school and cried while working on a final paper I had procrastinated on in preparation for the concert. I couldn't believe I had to go back to the 'real world'. When you experience something so euphoric and adrenaline inducing, it's hard to fall back into your normal routine. I've heard from many ARMYs that they actually don't even remember the concert. It was like a fever dream, and it is frustrating trying to grasp onto specific memories from it. The only way I remember what it was like to feel the energy from not only the guys but from the many other people in that stadium who all understood and accepted me in those moments, is watching the videos I have to document it. For a while, I used to just go back and watch them. I'd cry, laugh, and just cherish it. Concerts are truly something else, especially when it's for the very first time experiencing one from that artist. PCD takes a while to resolve and honestly, I still feel it sometimes. I think it'll just fade as you take in more content as Liz77 stated in their comment above.

I know I have to 🤣 BTS are as real and humble, down to earth people as it gets. Ive never known any artists interact with their fans the way they do. Usually after every concert (online or during tour) one or more of the guys hops on Vlive and chats with us. It's so sweet cuz we know how tired they are yet they choose to be with us. Especially after award shows, they usually all get together and comfort or celebrate with us instead of going to any after show parties. As for the PCD--- it's so real!!! I still have moments when I hear a song or when the date comes around or passing by the venues of when I saw them in concert and I feel sad and nostalgic. So I just dive into more content, RUN BTS, fan made videos or seasons of Bon Voyage and In The Soop. It slowly wears off. I think you guys are doing fine with where your journey is. The beautiful thing about being an Army is that you can discover more about them at your own pace and you stay winning. I've always said this is YOUR journey. So as long as you feel you want to know more about them because you enjoy them, then you're headed in the right direction. Thats what Army is all about and this is why we support you, we sense how authentic and genuine you both are. 💜 💜

It helped that I was talking to many ARMYs who were in the same boat. In fact I made a really good ARMY friend on the plane back home. We just dealt with it talking to each other. I attended a few cup sleeve events, watched tons of BTS Content and slowly came back to reality 💜💜💜

They often announce something for ARMYs to look forward to during or after a concert! This time it is Jin’s song; At the last PTD Vegas concert, it was the announcement of the Proof album. The lives after events are amazing. It helps me decompress from the event, but also hypes me up again - but in a gentler way. 💜

Don't know if you have seen it yet, but there's a vlive after one of the vegas concerts that the maknae line did by themselves (started with V and Jimin, then JK came in - it was also broken up into to pieces, tech difficulties or something, I can't remember). I found it hysterical as there was a whole bit where V was saying brand names and Jimin and JK got into the spirit of it with him.

Even after being army for years there always seems to be something right around the corner. Jin gave us, what? Two days to recover from the enlistment announcement and then dropped the schedule for his single. I love how unserious army has been about that too. It hasn't really hit me and probably won't until Jin actually leaves. Then I will probably be a hot mess. AND Today! We found out that he is debuting his song at a Coldplay concert! L-army is on cloud 9 right now. I have a few moots who got tickets for the show. I look forward to all those amazing post. They come on to connect with us and we get to see their faces up close, while we all relive the concert that just happened. I adore their live streams and if I'm lucky enough to be awake when they happen I will watch them live in Korean and then watch them again later when the English captions are available. Their talent is what attracted me to their music, but their genuineness and honesty and humbleness are what made me ARMY. I love that they will be silly with us. Jimin came and made Legos with us on his birthday, Jk came and sang songs for us, and last month Jin came on and played a video game for hours while millions of ARMY watched! These seven men are incredible human beings and I will be Army for life!

Leftover exhilaration and quickly multiplying exhaustion. I just kept thinking about how I had school the next day lol. Honestly, some of my favorite videos are their lives during their tours. They did so many live streams during tours with so many iconic moments. Hopefully you can react to some funny moment videos. I recommend diving back though to some original memes and jokes. I think the ones made in 2015-2017 were some great originals. And then it got better as time went on. It shows how they could honestly drop being idols and just be a variety comedy show. Oh wait! They did that! (In the Soop/ Run BTS/ Bon Voyage) so many real, funny, and entertaining moments. Anyway, thank you again for another great video. Nothing has made me feel how I felt when I first discovered BTS and started listening to all their albums and watching all their videos/shows. I think I will be chasing that first "high" for the rest of my life.

It's easy to forget their own reality when I have concerts to watch or my reality to pay attention to, but I would give anything to understand just a fraction of what's on their shoulders and let them know they can take care of themselves whenever they need.

Sign up on Weverse and recieve notifications all day long. They have so many content that I am not able to follow. It is too much and I am spoiled as ARMY. I never walk alone anymore. And I know a hundred new people at work monthly, I travel a lot, I have 250 Whatsapp groups. I am not lonely on daily life. But now is different. I never walk alone. BTS and ARMY are always on my mind. This is for sure a new civilization in this planet. And thanks to astronaut Jin and Coldplay maybe we are taking over the Universe.

I think when you start finishing off albums, you MIGHT feel like you're more than just dipping your toes into a vast ocean... maybe? But really there is SO MUCH content. I saw someone do a count and point out that if you watched or listened to something every day, you still won't run out before 2025. You're spot on about the post-concert lives though - they're a continued way to ease us back into reality - mainly, by the guys showing us that they're back in reality too. When I saw them in LA, Hobi did a vlive where he showed us his socks hanging to dry on a lamp in his hotel room. Rather than continuing the spectacle of the concert, the post concert vlives are their way of saying "hey, mundane reality isn't that bad either".

I had a long day studying for my anatomy exam and coming home to this just puts a smile on my face 💜 Post-concert depression is real I still have it from 2018 when I saw BTS in Canada XD I will never forget that night it's one of the best moments in my life. For treatment I'd just listen to the songs repeatedly and rewatch pictures I took to help me get over it. BTS are natural comedians and them talking about farts is normal, they've been doing that since they were teens lol XD I missed this live because I had to go to work right after the concert so it's good to see it together with you guys finally 💜

The concert experience is certainly a ride, that's for sure! I became an ARMY in 2019 when I was 16-years-old (I'm 19-years-old now, pretty young right? Lol). Right after I became an ARMY, the "Love Yourself: Speak Yourself" tour kicked off and it was a ride every weekend trying to find livestreams and links to people who might be filming their concerts. It was the best kind of experience too!! Seeing all the photos and videos on Twitter and other social media platforms after every concert always left me with happy smiles and chills running down my spine. The first time I got to experience a true concert in-person experience was during the PTD "tour" in Los Angeles (2021, I was 18-years-old and it was my first ever concert and airplane experience. Scary! I went all by myself!!) And boy, was that an experience! I flew from Georgia all the way to Los Angeles and back home again all in the span of 7 days. I took 5 flights (stopping in Dallas, Texas for a night on the way there) and spent 4 days actually in LA. So much was going on, it all kind of feels like a dream! Some days I still think about that experience, even though I had my ups and downs. Every ARMY deserves to see them in-concert in person and I hope that one day that happens for you both too! I'm waiting patiently for your new videos, but make sure you're not pushing yourselves too hard! You're doing well and I look forward to spending the next couple of years with you on this journey!! Sadly since the Festa you could tell Namjoon has been very sad and said he was crying more than normal. I think they have so much going on and we only know just a small part. I hope with this news out it lifts some of that burden for him and the other members. But sadly I noticed he seems to be taking it a bit harder probably because he is the leader as well and his finishing his album. But the other guys do seem happy and Yoongi seems so much happier.

I think I’ve listened to Zero O’clock and Louder Then Bombs at least a dozen times and they didn’t even perform the latter. I love watching their “lives” because they are just being their chaotic selves and they eat constantly. Who can blame them after working so hard. That clip of V dancing by himself is so authentic V. You’re going to love diving into him when his birthday comes up. Jinvember (is this a term yet) ? Is going to be lit . You just got a taste of Jin’s voice and Jared is going to melt over V even more than he already has. You can’t wait to do Outro-Tear. You’ll understand when you realize what we almost lost. And Hobi in Dior, well 🥹🫠. I needed this today. Thanks so much guys. You give us what we need when we need it most. 🤗🙏💜💜🇨🇦

I've never experienced the "real feeling" of a concert, like i said before i'm ARMY since sept. 2020, my first online concert was October 2020 ON:E, like some ARMYs mentioned before we have to stay awake or come out of our warm bed for new content like new songs, live interview's for the presentation of their new album, birthday live's(you should definitely check out JK's live's they are mini concerts he always gives us!!) and many more..and believe me when i say i am not a morning person😶 but i have never had a problem when it comes to bts😂🤣 everything for my 7 KINGS🥺💜💜

When i knew at least half their albums back to front. I think it's a balance of being familiar with the content and with the members themselves.

They can all be really close and comfortable around each other, what you're seeing now is pretty chill in comparison hahaha.

2022-10-20 22:54:07 +0000 UTCLiterally the live concerts are worse for me lol because you have to rely on memory and it’s hard because I already feel like im in another world and then when it’s over I always ask myself did this really just happen and it’s hard for me to remember what I witnessed. I usually be depressed for 3-4 weeks after going to a live show. The fan activities during the day is so much fun too. Meeting new ARMYs and passing out goodie bags 🤗🤗💜

They are not afraid to show us their happy or vulnerable states. It comes out so naturally from them as they've been like this from the very start, even before pre-debut days. They always had that purpose to share with ARMY the real sides of them, so we all know that their bond is like no other, I repeat like no other compared to any other idol groups out there! So love their brotherhood and I trust that nothing will ever change this 💜 Some quick facts: - It's a tradition to make seaweed soup during birthdays in Korea. My friend makes them too every single birthday of the members to celebrate and makes us eat them 😩 - Jimin's father owns a cafe in Busan and it became soooo busy after the concert as ARMY came there like a storm - ramen, noodles, instant ramen are usual foods for them, they love it 💜 - they always get in trouble with RM for saying things that will spoil something that's not yet supposed to be said BUT IT'S RM WHO DOES THE SPOILING MOSTTT OF THE TIME Lol 😆 Enjoyed watching this live with you mah fave brothers!! I have only been to one BTS concert, in fact the only concert I have ever attended, and let me tell you it went by SO fast, felt very unreal I kept focusing on the stage to see if they were really real or not, I'm not joking. It felt surreal...and then when they went on those carts and rode along side the audience......omg let's just say I was starstruck when I was literally about 5 ft away from them. Don't think I blinked for a few minutes cuz I had no idea what I just witnessed in front of me. Oh what I would give to RELIVE that specific MOMENTTTTTTT

For example, since my first month, I knew all the details of their songs, and from 2016 until now I feel that I am still in the middle of the road.. After all these years, I discovered that with BTS there is no end.. Every day you will learn something new about them and you will love them more. I hope you'll hear Young Forever because it's the song that made me understand how much BTS love their art and made me respect them more and more and this song is what always makes me trust that even after 10,20 or after 30 years .. Me, ARMY and BTS will be forever young beacuse we trust each other..and here we come back to the word trust again..trust that is impossible to break because it is real

I could have seen it on my own but I just wanted to feel as though we were all there together. I can definitely feel the PCD. I may have to go back and watch that concert reaction again it was so great.💜💜

A new song, interview, episode, ecc ecc ecc. mostly from when they were at the beginning of their career. There’s always something, I’m not searching for it but I’m letting them come to me at the right moment. 💜 the rabbit hole is deep! For me, it took 1 year to have a good knowledge about them, but don’t rush it! Enjoy the journey guys 💜✨

2022-10-20 22:28:44 +0000 UTCthis reminds me of how hobi said once that the younger ones follow him around everywhere these days and that's so true. i remember someone on twitter said that if hobi is called the sun then the younger ones are sunflowers. always searching for the sun. yeah, busan kinda messed up a lot for this concert. you were supposed to be able to have a foreigner site option to try to get tickets and apparently it wouldn't work. they also kept putting off things for the concert and eventually, the boys ended up just completely taking over the project and spending their own money. despite the fact that the busan government was supposed to do it. at least, that's what I've been reading. the gov is also now trying to essentially blame BTS they lose the bid because they decided to enlist. i could go on about it for a while. it was a mess with them

We spend entire days surrounded by other ARMY that instantly become family. I wish I could explain the feeling of leaving that safe space where people are caring and returning to “normal” life where you encounter nastiness all around. You will never regret waiting in a 9 hour line. You can make life long friends

It’s really interesting and funny to see the guys enjoy themselves and be their true self with the fans. This welive was short but really reassuring and comforting like always. The combo of the maknae line with Hobi is the best, we can see they adore each other so much. I think you actually made it through all the busan related content for now. PCD is so real sometimes honestly, you just want to see the band performing all the time seriously and it’s gonna be hard to do that for 3 years but we can do this ! The concert was amazing so it’s a good memory to keep for now. You guys have seriously the best content and really approach Kpop and BTS so gently and open minded so keep going. You still have so much to see so enjoy everything.
