Jimin & JK Dancing Like MJ! | Our Reaction to the “Black or White” Dance Cover

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but their musters are full of fun moments, I'm not sure it would be considered sketch comedy, but there are definitely different sketches and they are funny throughout all of the musters. The first few years of musters there would be an outside MC who would kind of lead the festivities, but I think starting with the 4th muster Happy Ever After they no longer used an MC and just ran the show themselves. But I'm telling I love the musters all of them have iconic laughable moments and games and funny anecdotes and of course that is all interspersed with music performances. Each muster also has a theme. And wait til you see the House of ARMY video from the 3rd Muster, you will be rolling on the floor, now that contains some stellar acting skills. I cannot wait to see you watch these great moments between ARMY and BTS.

My sporadic notes: The costumes they are wearing at the beginning are their emoji characters used for subtitles to identify who said what. Jungkook is a bunny and Jimin is a baby chick The sparkly pink blazer is used for the closing song in Japan Festa. A song Hobi wrote. The mask Jimin takes from the custom collection is a reference to Fake Love. The thing Jungkook tries to put on Jimin’s head is the top of an ARMY bomb. The jacket trick for the Grammy’s is done with six jackets. Two songs played in the behind the scenes, the first one was Idol and the second was DNA. The outfits they were wearing (the onesies) represent their symbolic animal, so when the editors subtitle the videos, they have a specific animal emoji represent each member, Jimin is a baby chick 🐥, and Jungkook is a bunny 🐰. To add I just wanted to say my ultimate bias is Tae (v) my bias is hobi (J hope) and ot7. I know yoongi might seem the least energetic or “happy” but out of all the members yoongi helped me through my mental problems the most he was so relatable to me and his songs are so deep! He is a lyrical genius. I’m not much of a crier when it comes to songs or anything in general like yoongi but he was the first artist to ever make me cry. He might not be the brightest but he’s the one who helped me the most bias or not it’s a weird connection that I have with him and I wouldn’t be the same without bts but especially yoongi and his odd personality and his lyrics 💜

💜💜💜 💜💜💜💜💜The Jacket Trick How to:🙏💪💜 No matter how many people are doing it, 2 i.e. JK/Jimin or all 7 members (6 on the Grammys poor Jin,) here's what you do; EVERYONE... 1- Pulls their left cuff over their hand. 2- Reach out and grab the left cuff of the person next to you with your right hand. (So everyone LOOKS like they're hold hands.) 3- Do NOT let go of your neighbors left cuff. 4- Turn to your right. Under the arm that's holding the cuff. Your jacket will get pulled off by your neighbor (if you turn correctly.) 5- Now your are all holding each others jackets by one sleeve while they're hooked together. 6- To separate jackets keep pulling on the sleeve that you are STILL holding in your right hand. The jackets will slip through each others sleeves & pull apart. Pretty cool. Huh? You guys should try it. You could totally shock your friends the next time y'all get together. Lol. I agree with most comments! You should stream and record yourselves and upload it AFTER the concert! It is your channel and you decide how to run it, but just fyi we encourage content creators to wait to upload their content, so all the views go directly to the boys (when there's a new song release we deeply appreciate content creators waiting for a 24hr period before uploading their reactions because of the reason mentioned above and, personally, this is something I take into account when I decide to watch or not a reaction video. In this case, since it's a live stream it's perfectly ok to upload your video as soon as it's over!) ofc these unwritten "rules" are mostly just good army etiquette but worth considering! :)

Personally I'd love if you reacted to it as you streamed it, but posted the reaction immediately afterwards. As other people have already mentioned, we're trying to show the demand and impact BTS have across the globe, and in order to do that we all need to be logged into our own streams for the numbers to count. BUT, I'd happily sit through your reaction to the concert immediately afterwards. Your reactions are honestly the highlight of my week. I know every two days, when I wake up, there's going to be new content from you for me to watch. I literally wake up, roll over, pick up my phone and log in to check what that day's reaction will be before I even get out of bed, so I know what I have to look forward to after my morning routine :)

I would stream your concert reaction (so there can be interaction, questions and answers) but AFTER the concert. Weverse is streaming the concert for free and it is important we, as ARMY, show there is demand. The world will be watching this performance because of its importance in the bidding process. ARMYs are traveling to SK from all over the world. We need to show the impact that BTS has. But I will be more than curious to see your reaction afterwards :-)

You definately need to check out the Grammy performance and the behind the scenes to that too- to realise that the boys had literally only practised all together at the last moment due to members being in quarantine ( and Jin injured) but still nailed it , is just testimony to them being so bloody talented and professional!!! The Festa performances are always a surprise. This was from the 2018 Prom Party. You have now seen The Rapline in DDaeng , Jimin and JK in this the last sub-unit was Jin and V singing the song Even If I Die, It's You. This song was the OST for Vs acting debut in the K-drama Hwarang. V is still close friends with the cast to this day, even going on vacation together. This song I heard while watching K-dramas, it's the 1st time I googled who was actually singing the OST and found BTS, learned that Jin was my b-day twin and stubbled down the rabbit hole. Hey guys 😊 Thank you for asking us what we think you should do regarding the Busan concert. Personally, I think it's up to you, it's your channel and we will support you. However as others have said perhaps watching it yourselves first might be better as we'd like to get as many live streams as possible for the boys, especially as it's free. I don't know, this may just go down in the history books for being THE most 'attended' (online, in-person and live-play) concert in the history of concerts! Another Guinness book World record, perhaps? They have made and broken so many already. I will be watching the concert on weverse by myself as I prefer to experience things first-hand then I'll watch your reaction afterwards at a later date. With regards to seeing them perform songs you haven't yet seen, I think it would be a great idea to see/hear some of the other songs you might like to get your teeth into. As ARMY, we have watched and listened to their songs over and over and over again, in so may different contexts like shows, concert stages throughout multiple Countries and every time is new, different and just as exciting as seeing it for the first time. BTS LIVE is the best experience I have ever witnessed virtually, of any singer, band or group. Just to give you context, I have eclectic taste, but my roots are in RnB and Soul. I hear the 80's and 90's Soul and RnB flavour (and of course Hip-hop) woven intricately into all of their songs. I am also a Michael Jackson fan of old, from when he was in Jackson 5 in Motown. His Off the Wall album is my favourite. I see, hear and feel things that are deeply familiar to me with BTS and I'm loving it. Please excuse the tangent. Long story short, whatever you decide, you'll not go wrong. BTW I also echo, Juliana Krampf who made a suggestion regarding the vocal line. It's about time for you to hear JK, Jimin, V and Jin. If u were wondering, BTS Festa is an event where they celebrate their debut anniversary with ARMYs. During 2 weeks they release all kinds of content. It varies every year, from self written solo songs to unseen dance practice performancies...at the end (13.06) they have a huge fan meet with special perf, fun programm and a few songs. The Busan concert is a big deal and for the core purpose of the concert (securing the World Expo 2030 for Busan) Armys want to solely rely on the official weverse stream. It would be best to watch it on ur own realtime, or if its difficult for u to record realtime, u can always wait till they upload it on BangtanTv and eather do a livestream then or just record normaly.

I became a fan of BTS through Michael Jackson. I became a fan of Michael Jackson through the music video for Black or White so this reaction is quite meaningful for me. Fun fact - the location where Michael Jackson is dancing with the Native Americans in Black or White is the same filming location BTS use in their official music video for On. You’ve watched the abridged version of Black or White. There’s a longer version with a section known as the Black Panther dance. In it, through dance, Michael Jackson comments on racism. It’s very powerful but sadly under appreciated. To be honest it should be studied more and have things like explanation videos. But too many people were more preoccupied with making him a caricature than exploring his art. As a Michael Jackson fan, I love the way BTS respects him. It’s very clear to me that they admire him. Even from their earliest days like here in this 2014 vlog where V is accompanied by the band’s Michael Jackson doll (who as far as I can tell, lived in their studio) https://youtu.be/xCNYWPA0OAU In 2015 JHope and Jimin hosted a tv show where they picked a Top 10. Out of the 10 they chose 2 Michael Jackson songs - You Are Not Alone & Man in the Mirror. If you're amazed by the jacket trick, watch the 2022 Grammys performance, lets just say that you're minds will be blown, especially considering they only got the whole thing right once in practice the day before. This GRAMMY performance was especially hard because Jin hurt his hand and multiple members got Covid during the preparation. So they really only had one day to practice with the whole group present, and they said they really thought they were gonna fail the jacket trick because it was exceptionally hard for all 7 members to execute it together. Watching the concert together would be fun, but I do recommend watching it later and recording it then. I think most ARMY will want to watch the actual stream to bring in views + Weverse will most likely crash like it did with Hobipalooza when we were watching it live 😂 , I think it would be a better experience to watch it later. BUT of course however you guys want to watch it is the most important thing!

This is always fun watching Jimin and Jungkook dance. They put so much into this one unit performance and that is not even showing the rehearsals involved for their group choreography, the festa concert is all of them doing multiple songs and skits. Also, I am SOOOOO sorry for spoiling 2 songs and not warning you. In the behind the scenes, the first song you heard was "Idol" and the second with the whistling was "DNA". The first one played again during the practice on stage. I forgot to give you the spoil alert warning! While I would love to watch yall on the livestream, its a first concert for a friend of mine and I want her to have the concert experience. Their US debut performance was in November 2017, at the AMAs when they performed their new single DNA - launching the Love Yourself era. However, BTS's first american award show appearance was in May 2017 at the BBMA's - they were nominated & won Top Social Artist. The media coverage was a pretty monumental moment because while western media thought the 'BTS Mania' was a phase in the news cycle, it became an opportunity for BTS to reach a wider audience. And the guys have never left since. Ironically...it was that little 'paper award' that served as a catalyst to exponential growth in their fan following.

It's not like BTS needs a few 100 views more or less to prove anything, they already said they are not about that. However, I am concerned about your concert experience! I'd want you to have a good experience for your first live viewing and not having to switch back and forth between live chat and the concert etc. Either way, I'm so happy that you'll react to it! Hope you'll get to react to the butter grammy performance 😍. During this bangtan bomb behind, they removed the original MJ song and replaced it with BTS songs due to copyright. So, you just got a tase of 1. Idol (2018) and then 2. DNA (2017) In due time, when you get to it, please react to those MVs as well. Aaaand several of their live performances. Especially Idol was performed many times by them and these are amazing performances 😍 they've performed it in most concerts since and it has a south african beat as a base. It has similarities with popular amapiano sounds, like the particular beat and whistle... It just wants to make you move. DKDKTV also has a 'Idol' explained by a Korean video I'd recommend.

I am excited to see your reaction to the Busan concert, but would watch it after I had already watched the show live. I would be so focused on watching them that I don’t think I would have the capacity to absorb anything else on the screen the first time I watch it. I love the experience of watching things again with you guys! For the costuming, they are each represented by an animal emoji.🐨RM, 🐹Jin, 🐱Suga, 🐿 JHope, 🐥Jimin, 🐯or🐻V, 🐰Jung Kook. I would say either watch it live and record your live reaction to post later for us or watch the concert post-live and react so you can pause and stuff if you want to add longer commentary which we always appreciate. That being because for this concert, Weverse views are extremely important. I would definitely join a live stream of it, on any other circumstance. jimin and jungkook are insane to watch dancing together. my favorite is the MMA 2020 black swan performance they did. it was actually insane. i'd love to see yall react to that. btw the costumes are their animals. every member has an animal emoji associated with them. some are chosen based more on looks and some bc of personalities that fit the animal, some both. it's jin - 🐹, namjoon - 🐨 (but some people are now fighting for retriever/dog joon), yoongi - 🐱, hoseok - 🐿️, jimin - 🐤, tae - 🐯 or 🐻 (army argue over this a lot but he's a bear, even the other members have said so), and jungkook - 🐰. that's why jimin had on a chick onesie and jungkook had a bunny onesie. yes, the festa performance was a surprise. everything about them is. we usually only get told a theme and that's it. it's very fun!! also for the live stream, normally i'd say live stream it but for this concert, in particular, i think army is wanting to support the weverse stream and watch it individually. it's very important to make sure people sees bts' impact bc this concert is a bid for busan to host the world expo in 2030. (it's a long and complicated political mess, unfortunately. one i won't go into now lmao) i think a recorded reaction in this instance would be better. maybe you could live stream one of the award show performances instead.

I'm sure others have already said it but: 1) They're like their animal counterparts sort of, I believe. I'm not sure if the fandom came up with it, or they themselves, but they all have one. Jimin is a baby chick, JK a bunny, V is a bit of a tricky one because I've seen people call him a bear but also a tiger lol, Hobi is a squirrel, Suga of course a cat, RM a koala and Jin a hamster. 2) I assume it was a surprise. Most things BTS does during Festa is a surprise. 3) I love the livestream idea, but for this one as others have said, it's reall y important to watch the stream on Weverse. You could definitely record it and then post it after the concert though! Or do a livestream for it some time after the concert. 4) If you guys ever do a livestream in the future, I'll definitely join if I can! About the live stream I would really like it tbh seeing ur reaction would be amazing but I also want to bring this up and it’s completely up to you guys..if u guys live stream it I will still watch it just to see ur reactions but I would also stream it on my own. The reason why I am bringing this up is we want to show the SK government the demand BTS has for this concert since this concert is for the world expo. The more viewers Weverse gets the better. this was a surprise performance as part of their festa 2018. jimin n jk did this performance, rapline did ddaeng and taehyung n jin performed their ost “it’s definitely you” for the show hwarang. the behind the scenes video played a few title songs you haven’t heard yet which were idol (from love yourself answer in 2018) and dna (from love yourself her in 2017). dna is the song you hear at the start of rise of bangtan. i also think for the busan concert it would probably be best to do it like hobipalooza

Also the song with the whistling you recognised as the beginning of Riseof Bangtan is the BTS song DNA. That is Jungkook whistling. DNA was a really big hit for BTS and opened the door for them to perform at their first award show in the US (the BBMAs in late 2017). That song has really amazing choreography too (although find me a BTS song that doesn't - even when they are just singing while standing they turn it into art somehow).

Well it is a jacket trick and I wasn't going to be the one to ruin the surprise for you by describing it. And yes, they do refine it with more jackets in the Grammy performance. I STRONGLY recommend the behind the scenes for the Grammy performance too because you will see how much they rehearsed for that trick in particular. To the point where they were still having issues on the actual day of the performance (due to circumstances like JK and Jhope having COVID and Jin with his injury). It's a wild ride. Not only are ARMYs making sure to mention their reason to visit Korea for the concert as BTS on the immigration forms to show the economic impact of BTS on the economy but also the streaming numbers for the concert matter too.

And as for the outfits all the members have characters that are them and I think sometimes in the RUN BTS series they had punishments if they lost certain missions they had to wear these costumes…I think they have had to wear them goin thru airports if I’m not mistaken.

Though I would love love love to react to watch the concert in real-time with both of you, this is the way we have to do it for this one at least. I don't know if there is a way to maybe to live chat only. Even if we are not watching your stream but our own, still all interact with you real-time somehow. A DISCORD account maybe or twitch. I know its been done before just dont know how. Would that be something you and patreons would like to do? Can anyone with more experience help with this? I grew up with Michael Jackson, but I don't think I have ever seen the MV. I am a bharatanatyam dancer, so seeing an Odissi dancer in the MV was exciting for me. (Bharatanatyam and Odissi dance are Indian classical dance forms.) The guys surprise us all the time with their Festa content. We get hints, but we still never know exactly what they will do. BUSAN - we need to maximize views for the live stream. It's important that all ARMYs watch so that we have as many views as possible. So please watch and record, and then post it later. I think for the 15th you should do a reaction video, not a live stream. This concert is for the bid to host the world expo 2030, so there's a lot at stake for this. The demand and online participation in online live streams will be recorded in the media, so every single view on the official streams counts a lot here.

You can see MJs influence in a lot of BTS’ choreography. If you want more of that then I suggest reacting to dynamite. It’s their first full English song and their first song to go #1 on billboard. Also please react to the butter Grammy performance it’s their best live performance of it. Half of the members almost didn’t get to perform because some of them caught covid and Jin had a hand injury. It all end up working out in the end though and they still put on a great performance.

Yes this is an awesome performance and when you watch it keep in mind that BTS only got to rehearse ONE day together being that Jin had hurt his hand and JK and Jhope had COVID and literally a day after being released from quarantine..Jhope was quarantined in Korea and JK got quarantined in the US and to watch THIS performance knowing what they had to overcome just to do it…they should have gotten a Grammy for dedication to their craft imo 🤷🏻‍♀️right Army😏?

Being from the MJ era I thought you might like to know that Michael loved kids and was more comfortable around them being he didn’t have a childhood…anyway he befriended McCaulay Caulkin ….I think he was goin thru a bad time and Michael helped him…their friendship was so close that MJs kids can say that McCaulay was their godfather…he literally made him godfather to his children….also there’s another tribute to Michael that came about during pandemic when their song Dynamite exploded here in the US catapulting them even further….anyways they perform Dynamite for an awards show with a Michael Jackson breakdown that the whole group does that is awesome…short but awesome…I don’t know how to link that short clip as I’ve mentioned being from 80s technology not my strong suit🤷🏻‍♀️if any Army could do that for them I would appreciate it💜💜💜

Guys, I will answer the questions in order! 1. Jimin and Jungkook are wearing normal pajamas. They have no hidden meaning (except that Jimin is denoted by a chick emoji and Jungkook is a rabbit). They were dressed in pajamas with these animals. 2. ARMY didn't know about the dance. It was a surprise! 3. I really want to meet you on the stream! But it's better to watch the concert already in the recording (it will hang due to large views). 4. I suggest a couple of hours after the concert you start the broadcast and watch the concert with us again. So it will be a good record! and you won't have to wake up very early in the morning. Oh, and I ask you to save all the streams so that we can review! Love you!💜

During Hobipalooza apparently Weverse crashed/lagged several times. We were lucky in the US and got to stream on Hulu and didn't have as many issues. But for the Busan concert, everyone has to stream through Weverse and its expected to be even more people 14 million+. So...if you do it, I'll watch with you and if you choose to wait and do it later, I'll happily re-watch the concert then too.

You guys missed two new songs in the vid, one is the opening to Rise of bangtan yes, the full song is DNA (2017). And the other one is the heavy beat song they played over the dancing, Idol (2018). They're both title tracks and you'll definitely come across them again one day. As for the Busan concert, I think most of us will be watching on the official channel as it is free and we want to garner views for it. Echoing Saltae, many veteran Army (I'm a baby-Army myself) encourage watching via official sites so as to provide an accurate head count attesting to BTS's influence and appeal. That's very important for the Busan concert in ways that make it different from an award show or even Hobipalooza. They've made it free to everyone as a gift to Army; it seems fair for Army to give big viewership numbers back as a "thank you".

And as for your mother, I screamed during our dinner as the news came across that we'd lost Michael. I cried for 2 days straight. Was in complete disbelief, so very unexpected! And yes, coverage, funeral, etc for days after. Your mom & I share a bond like no other with millions and millions all over the world. I agree with others here. I think the best idea would be to record your reaction to the concert and upload it afterwards. It’s pretty important in our fandom that we give our views to the actual concert livestream since they’re going to the effort of putting it on for us and it’s a very special event from them to us. They’re also representing their country in this particular event, which makes our engagement even more crucial. I’d feel bad watching it through a third party live for these reasons. I’d love to see your reaction, but for me personally id rather watch it again afterwards if you upload it so I can be engaged with the boys and give my view to them in the moment 💜
