Yes, you heard that right…FAMILY GATHERINGS! This is something that we are in the midst of planning, and TRULY looking forward to! It will be the perfect opportunity for us to interact with all of you LIVE on a regular basis, and create magical and therapeutic moments. Stay tuned for more details on this in upcoming weeks!
For today’s video, we decided to take another rare step outside of the studio and go for a quick car ride (well, technically we drove to a park and sat in the car while we filmed the video). As we know, there’s something special about listening to music in the car. If a song passes “THE CAR TEST” (a subjective, made-up test that measures a songs ability to impact us in the car), then you know it’s special. Today, we put 6 BTS songs that we’ve already reacted to in the studio, to the car test. These include:

I was really hoping lol I canceled my Twitch subs (I didn’t use them too often don’t worry) **airpods died at 32:00ish lol ill be back to finish watching later wait wait wait I just registered the cursive comment from the unboxing video- Im 20 and learned cursive up until 3rd grade! That’s wild that some schools cut it off even earlier. Maybe my school took so long cuz that’s the same year that the flat screen moniters came in? *its so funny to me watching Jared do the attempt at Trumpet lmao since I play. Also I absolutely believe Outro: Ego is made for preformance then the car because its simply too big for headphones and needs some kind of group or personal experience for the audience hearing it. The song reminds me a lot of how I felt at camp during the dances. Being critical objectively in a way that clearly returns back to subjective joy at the end of the day is practically my job as a (reasonable) human so I’d say be as critical as y’all want since we all know that you’ll be honest if you dont like a song and then even be kind about when you do critique it. Sorry if this is too long, oof, I have lots of thoughts and always want to share them. Unrelated, OMG THE TOP OF THAT MULTI-DEERED PHOTO LOOKS LIKE IT HAS A TALL CREATURE (w/ glowing eyes) FNJDJDJ (I assume its like a hilled area and just has a deer in the background or something but its still creepy and cool)

Jared my brother, you hit the nail on the head and quickly discovered what OG ARMY already knows..there are quite a few bts songs that are too dangerous to bump in the car. Here’s just a short list. Ugh! No, that wasn’t an expression, the song is titled Ugh and it’s the rap lines brainchild. Suga’s Daechwita. Pick a cypher, ANY CYPHER, from the rap line. RM’s Joke! If it’s rainy I love listening to some of their solo songs that are slower paced and when I go to sleep I actually have a playlist that has instrumental versions of their songs with piano, violin, and even harp. The nice thing about BTS is they have songs that suit many different activities and moods.

It’s very motivating. This was fun to watch, I enjoyed listening to the music with you guys. Also… can’t wait till you get to dis-ease from the BE album. Jhope is credited as main producer and I think you’ll like the beats and instrumentation, it has a similar feel to EGO in my opinion.

None of us knew what a pandemic or lockdown was going to look like. I was seeing videos on YT of major world capital cities looking like ghost towns and stories of people saying their final goodbyes to loved ones at the door to the hospital emergency departments. It was an incredibly scary time. The only thing that got me through that initial stage was taking long drives while blasting BTS music. I had made a playlist of BTS ballads with instructions to my husband that if I was alone in a hospital on a ventilator...that playlist needed to be playing in my headphones around the clock. It sounds funny now but I was completely serious about that. Maybe "Fix You" didn't score high on the driving test for you both because it is best enjoyed with eyes closed lol? Bad Decisions passes for me because it's a bop. NO doesn't feel like a driving song to me, but I still play it. Attack on Bangtan-Yes! Euphoria-yes. EGO...absolutely!!! That song works in the car or even for a chair dance party. You are not being too lenient in judging the music...the music is that good! Out of a massive discography there are only about 3 songs that I don't play on repeat. Thanks for reacting.

2022-09-11 01:06:25 +0000 UTCcongrats again my boys 🤗 i can’t wait for the family gathering lives it’s gonna be so special and hopefully get you guys a little bit further in their discography even if it’s just a little bit 🥹 i completely agree about how subjective it can be it really depends on your mood but the magic about bts discography is no matter what mood you’re in there’s bts songs to compliment that entirely that’s why their discography is unmatched it just hits different they have covered and mastered so many different genres and styles and themes (something you guys haven’t even yet discovered but they really have done it all !!! you’ll get there one day and realize how diverse their discography is) that can mask so many different emotions there’s something for everyone and that’s hard to come by it’s truly special.. personally for me my go to in the car is rap line songs and can be almost dangerous to drive to they hype me up so much i feel sorry for the people in front of me or who drive by me when i’m blasting ugh!, outro: tear, ddaeng or the cyphers full blast 🫣 IT HITS DIFFERENT it really just depends i have a hype up playlist for the car and a slowed down playlist depending on my mood it’s all just very subjective and all of their songs pass the car test for me they never miss 💟

I lived in Rural Colorado almost my whole life until recently and understand all about the deer, Jared I have hit one too and it does a lot of damage! Did you know they have deer whistler’s for your front bumper and it’s supposed to detour the deer with a high pitch noise (which you cannot hear) I have not hit one since I’ve put my on and that’s been a while ago! Personally, Fix you (Coldplay Cover) - passes but in certain circumstances- I used to listen to this when I had a situation going on in my life that gave me anxiety. This song calmed me in the car before entering a building. Bad Decisions - def pass! N.O - I agree - not a car song Attack on Bangtan - total pass! Agree with Jared! Euphoria - I listen to this less in the car but I can see how it would pass Outro: Ego - def pass. If you love this song now, I can wait until you listen to it in the context of the “Map of the Soul” album! Don’t worry about being too nice - just be authentic and be free 💜

Solution, grooving in the back seat with a driver, watching the MV’s and a beverage of your choice. Someone else can watch out for the Deer 🦌. I had one jump the trunk around Woodstock, NY years ago. That’s very scary. In the city, it’s the Racoons 🦝 you’ve got to look out for! Yay September babies (I’m one) with JK and RM. I feel like back to school with a book club and maybe learning Korean.
