J-HOPE - Jack in the Box!! | Album Review Pt.1 (Tracks 1-5)

The hype behind this album did not disappoint! Thank you all for recommending it, and pushing us to get to it sooner rather than later.

Heeding J-Hope’s advice, we listened to “Jack in the Box” from start (Track 1) to finish (Track 10), as if we were “leafing through the pages of a book.”

Today we present to you our reaction to the first 5 tracks:

01 - Intro

02 - Pandora’s Box

03 - MORE

04 - STOP

05 - = (Equal Sign)

Next week, we will share our reaction to the remaining tracks, 6-10.

It took us a while to deconstruct (or attempt to deconstruct) the meanings behind each track. J-Hope went full-on beast mode with this album! The layered meanings and profound lyrics left us feeling very inspired. Here’s a line from his song “MORE” that particularly stood out to us: “There are no bad people in the world.”

ARMY, as always, we truly appreciate your love and support (WE’LL CONTINUE SAYING THIS UNTIL THE END OF TIME). Your subscription allows us to produce higher-quality reaction videos, and moves us closer to our goal of doing this full-time! Let us know if you have any questions, feedback, thoughts, etc. at any time! BORAHAE!! 💜💜

J-HOPE - Jack in the Box!! | Album Review Pt.1 (Tracks 1-5)

Comments

I loved your reaction video to Jack in the Box. I love the way you guys go deep into the lyrics and sometimes you research things I may not have thought about. It’s so fun and refreshing to find more people who genuinely are interested in learning what they are wanting to say to the world. I love Equal Sign and I really appreciated your insight into Stop. I’ve read all of the lyrics but sometimes just reading them a few times, you can forget the depth of the meanings of the songs, so revisiting Stop was really great! Just thank you both for taking the time to really give BTS music and the guys the respect and importance they deserve.

Sherry A

I absolutely loved your deep dive review. I think the whole album as a masterpiece.

Rheichel Tormis

I love going off on tangents with you guys. And I like hear how it applies to your real life too. That is definitely one of the biggest things that set BTS apart from a lot of other groups. It is not that they are telling us their stories. I think the new gen of kpop has learned to do that from BTS. But how the music affects the way we think and act in our daily lives. I feel like that is what sets them apart because they are really trying to make a difference in our lives. I'm really glad I signed up for your pateron. I need to slow down though or I amgoing to binge through everything in a few days lol!

Rae Avilez

RMs Mono is the same way. Intended to be listened to from start to finish in order.

Da Lantis

Wow just finished this video and I just got to say thank you guys. I love how you two deep dive into everything and really take the time to try to understand each track. I don’t think I’ve ever seen any other reactors go through it this much as you guys have and I really appreciate it. As someone who has thought about humans being inherently good or evil, Stop was definitely a top track for me. It was so interesting getting to hear both of you studied sociology and even put it to practice. Excited to see part 2 Hope you guys are doing well :)

Fernanda

I'm gonna end up rewatching this cuz I have a headache lol

Members of QHC

Oh my goodness... we are so happy to hear that you are feeling better Elizabeth! J-Hope set us both on fire as well!! Much love!

BTS - Jared & Jordan

Guys I've been sick for over a week; however, BTS, ARMY, and you guys kept me company and healed me. I'm 68 years young and J-Hope set me on fire. I'm BTS OT7 for the rest of my life. Thanks for your great insights and reactions. Feeling great!

LIBBY WILSON

Thanks for the list!!!

LIBBY WILSON

I think this link will help you understand Pandora's box more. https://www.greekmyths-greekmythology.com/pandoras-box-myth/.

Mia Urbanski

I loved your breakdown of Stop. I am a firm believer that no one is born "bad" or "evil," we are all simply products of our environments. And that product can continuously change, for better or for worse, as the environments that we live in change. I really enjoyed this video, can't wait for part 2 :)

Laura_

Yes they should definitely do a reaction to jk on Thursday for his birthday

Janiya Smith

just as a side note: j-hope's father is( was) a literature teacher, i think that his education and the good ,smart people around him helped Hobi to become the great man that he is today!!

Ana Maria

Hi, tomorrow is JK's birthday, it would be nice to make a compilatio n of videos about him... I'll leave some suggestions if you're interested: -> take your eyes off jk for a sec & he'll do questionable things by SugArmyy ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxLrxpQmR5E ) -> Jungkook the golden maknae by Ida S ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3L8QIWXq7E8 ) -> Jungkook the main vocalist of BTS by Ida S ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=145nU0nCuRM&t=961s ) I hope you guys can react to these videos, even if it doesn't have time to be on jungkook's week hahaha Borahae

Amanda Sottani

I would love if when they do part 2 of j hope’s album that they’ll react to his listening part behind the scenes on their YouTube channel. Thanks for reacting❤️

Janiya Smith

Hi! As you guys are reacting to j-hope’s Jack In The Box album, I wanted to make a list of BTS’ and BTS members albums in chronological order if you ever decide to make other album reactions! Now this was just something I did just to do it so there is absolutely no pressure to actually react to their albums this way (or in any way really if you don’t want to). I know you guys have a LOT on your plate and this list might be pretty overwhelming, but I made this purely for my own enjoyment and decided to share with you! You’ll first find a lyric video, then a music video if there is one. I decided to also include a live performance and a dance practice if there is one. I love the way you guys react to their music thoroughly and if this list can be of any help for you as you navigate through their music, that’s great! (side note; I know you have already heard some of these songs, but they’re still included 😂 I added a live performance you haven’t seen) I sent this list here so ARMY can take a look and say if there’s any mistakes etc. but I also DM’d you the list here on Patreon if you want to take a look. Link to the Google Drive: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1yn0MxWN440Uw2AB2ogrMShGztVXO072CJkqAbjjSM_s/edit?usp=sharing

And

I love the passion you put into your reaction guys, thank you💜

lou marquez

Someone may have already said this but... in an interview when the title Jack in the Box was announced, JHope told the story of how he picked the stage name J-Hope. He said he was with RM and BangPD and they were brainstorming names. He said he wanted it to include "J" for Jung, and "Ho" for Hoseok. They thought of the name J Hope to include these two, and BangPD said that Hope was the last think left in Pandora's box. Hobi liked that, and said that whenever he came out with a solo album it would be called Jack in the Box, and would be about Hope coming out of the box. This explains why he has mentioned it before, like in Blue Side. This has been his plan since the very beginning. He is so deep. Him and the other guys put SO much thought into everything they do. So, that being said, read the lyrics in Pandora's Box again... I think some of them are talking about how this was the original plan.. it was always meant to be. I also wonder if the reference to it coming from the "source" might mean Bang PD (who is the "source" of BTS)?

Sharebear

Can’t wait to see you guys react to Hobipalooza! I went and it was just AMAZING!

Natalie

one thing i have to add. in korea it´s not a bad thing when you say i am still not enough. its's way of saying i will keep fighting and grow so he is not looking down on himself. and it´s not common for people to be proud of themself. i have seen a lot of kdramas and that is the feeling i am getting. others are not quick to give your praises either it´s expected that you always do your best.

leat

yes but funny enough their songs are okay to be played live when it comes to award shows. just that they got nominated should tell people that this is a very popular group and the audience don't care weather they sing in korean or english. so why should the radio. that is what i don't get. i think it´s because radio don't earn money from BTS. radio is getting paid by the label just like the tv is in korea to play the song.

leat

This a great video thanks for your reaction! Please react to Jimin’ Lie’ live performance next.

Pralee

Are you gonna react to all the albums? That would be amazing😀

chantal bavaud

I love that you’re reacting to Hoseok’s album. Hobi is my ult bias and I find myself relating to him on such a deep level. My name is Joyous and with that name comes an expectation to always be what my name entails. When it comes to J-hope, people expect him to always be happy and the Hope of the group, the hope of the fandom and he doesn’t mind it. He holds that responsibility with pride. And much like him people expect nothing less than smiles and a jovial attitude from me. And I don’t mind being that. I consider myself to be very kind and optimistic. People gravitate towards me because of my happy calm and approachable nature but like hobi shows in this album, everyone has a darker side. Everyone has fears and negative emotions and negative wants. Hoseok is showing that he is not just a one dimensional character but a multifaceted being. And I relate to that a lot. I am more than my smiles or my calm demeanor. I have bad days just like everyone else. I think that’s why I really relate to him. I see myself in him. I understand what it’s like to smile but not quite mean it. And I am so so proud of him for sharing this side of himself with us because I know it’s hard. I highly recommend listening to Hope World his EP before watching hobipallooza as he also performs many songs from that body of work. And also that EP is just amazing. The lyrics are just as introspective as Jack in the box lyrics but they come from a place of dreams and hope without so much of the darker themes. Thanks guys for sharing this with us I really really enjoy you deep diving into our Hope, Jung Hoseok. He’s really fascinating and I hope through his music you come to love him like I do. Much love from your friend, Joyous 🤍

Jd ✨

(And of course he does so much more than the "Dance, rap and sing". He writes lyrics, produces, composes, makes beats, make choreography etc. The full package. Truly the golden hyung!)

Sofie K.

I've honestly never been as fascinated of a person the way I am by Jung Hoseok. He's my ultimate bias for starters. He will go down in history as one of the greatest performers of our generation. I have a performance I wish you will put on your list. I think there is other videos and BTS songs you should do next so this is not a suggestion for next video. It's just a performance that I really hope you'll put on your list. And then just once you get the time you can react to that. No need to hurry. It's been like 6 years since the release so not exactly urgent, haha. The song is called "MAMA" and it is my favourite live performance of it. I love everything about it. And especially the powerful singing ad lips he does near the end, you'll see. J-Hope is a born performer. A real show-man. You'll see once you watch more BTS live performances. And his performances from their concerts with his solo songs from BTS like "MAMA". Often his solo song is not focused on the hardcore choregraphy we all know he can. It's more like smooth dancing andconnecting with the crowd. it's about the performance. Putting on a show for the audience. He was very nervours about wether he could do a full concert by himself, but this performance of "MAMA" was enough to prove that he could do Lollapalooza alone easy! He can sing, rap and dance. And his stage presence is unmatched. You'll see how he can capture the audience attention to the fullest no matter what he does. He can walk slowly around a stage not saying a word and still everyone pays full attention. That's a whole other level of performer. I'll leave the link of that MAMA performance below. The song itself is so wholesome - he wrote it for his mother. What a beautiful soul he is!!

Sofie K.

I'm so happy you are reacting to his Lollapalooza performance! It is so great and I hope you feel the same way (though honesty is always prefered!). It's hard to chose a favoruite song from the concert but if I have to I'll choose "Pandora's Box", "Baseline" and "Hangsang". (And his vocals in "Equal Sign" was so beautiful. Always loved his falsetto). My favourite songs from Jack In The Box is Pandora's Box, More, Stop, Equal Sign and Arson.

Sofie K.

What a great reaction to a great artist! Truly enjoyed watching this!! I am so glad that you appreciate the lyrics of the songs. You are right - he's a genius. Sometimes one forgets the depth of this man due to his sunny personality. He's not being fake when he's being the "Hope of Bangtan". There is just simply more to him than that one side. He's a complex human like every other! "Hope World" was my favourtie album/mixtape for a long time. I litteraly listen to it more than once a week, closer to daily actually. It's my go-to album. The whole vibe of that Album was the more sunnier vibe - like you got a sneak peak from his previous music videos. But his lyricism has always been deeper than that. And it wasn't all sunshine and Rainbows in Hope World either, but the vibe was VERY different for sure. "Piece of Peace" was such a beautiful way to express the beautiful soul he has where he wants to give comfort to us. And he really has become a Piece of Peace to many! And as he said "Equal Sign" he considers to be a part 2 to Piece of Peace. Another example of how "Hope World" and "Jack in the box" isn't 2 different stories. It is just 2 different sides of him that together makes a whole. He's so wise! I've litteraly listened to "Jack in the box" EVERY DAY since release. I can't get enough of the music and the lyrics. Now he's debuted as a solo artist and BTS is going to make solo albums instead of mixtape it will be easier to acces for Koreans. And "BLUE SIDE" IS ON SPOTIFY NOW! That's a dream come true for me. It's the full version of the outro from Hope World. He released the full version as a single 3 years after the mixtape was released. I can't wait to see you react to even more J-Hope! Although he's my ultimate Bias (The rap line is what makes BTS to me) there is 7 members in BTS who are all absolutely incredible! I truly love them all!! And so I hope you will pay all of them equal attention. Though at this moment the rap line has much more material than the vocal line due to them being main songwriters and having released solo music. BUT! That will change soon - because it seems that the vocal line will release their own solo albums as well. I'm sure all 7 albums are going to be amazing!!! Can't wait to listen and support all members.

Sofie K.

You guys are the best reactors ever! Thank you for this deep analysis. Looking forward to the next part, Arson is my absolute favourite in this album 💜 borahaee

It‘s SO fascinating to watch you go through the exact same emotions I went through while I heard this album! My absolute favorite moment of this reaction video was when it clicked in your eyes during MORE. When all the puzzle pieces you heard during the Intro and Pandora‘s box sudddenly made sense! And you guys are totally right: Hobi is a genius. Since this album was released I‘m even more in awe with him as a person. Thank you for your hard work and your reactions💜

Kiki

J-Hope brings always hope and energy to everyone. Suga titeled him as his vitamin. He has a pure soul and it‘s painful to see him hurt or sad. With Jack in the Box he shows a new side of himself and I like it so much. There is an Interview of him on IU‘s Palette https://youtu.be/nw1qH6vR-8o where he shows his natural side, he talked about his music and his plans. The whole conversation is absolutely heartwarming.

Sabrina J.

Another amazing reaction! I appreciate how much effort and depth you guys incorporate in your videos. I listened to J-hope’s album awhile ago, but just like you guys, the first time it was really hard to comprehend. I enjoy watching your reactions because I also am learning and piecing everything together along with you! This album really is amazing beyond just the actual music and lyrics. He literally has intertwined all his previous work with this album, and after seeing his interview with IU, I realized just how truly of a genius J-hope is! I am looking forward to the rest of your reaction to the album as well as Hobipalloza!!

Johana

hello! so glad you enjoyed the first half of this album and can't wait for you to hear the other half + watch his lollapalooza performance! jack in the box really is j-hope's masterpiece - i always have high expectations for him and bts and he (and they) always managed to surpass them. i also look forward to seeing you guys get to know the other members musically - the rappers in particular since they write a lot of music. you'll notice their different writing styles (for me, i find rm to have very poetic lyrics and wordplay, suga writes songs bluntly, almost like you're having a conversation with him, and j-hope is often somewhere in between and uses a lot of pop culture references that people can understand/relate with). the vocalists have outstanding solo work as well (as you've seen with singularity!), and their work also explores some of their inner thoughts (the vocalists are writers on their solo songs and some of bts group songs, but haven't released as much solo work as the rappers). all 7 members are profound thinkers and when you mentioned that from now on, before reacting you'll ask yourself "how deep is this gonna be?" i honestly find myself feeling the same way. bts as a whole are really good at encapsulating very specific feelings and experiences that the viewer/listener can relate with. although only rm's iq is known, it's predicted that all 7 of them have pretty high iqs. they're all geniuses to some extent and they are learners who choose to keep growing intellectually, despite having already reached such a high level of success. it's why they are so good at what they do! enjoy your journey with bts, you have a long journey ahead! borahae

eucalyptus

it amazes me that all of the 7 members are just as good at j-hope just in their own way. i can´t wait to hear V´s album i think he will do some jazz. he met up with olivia rodrigo and lady gaga in new york so maybe they will do a collab. and jimin whet to la to see a famous producer so they are all working on something. RM has a new collab song on sep 1 so i can´t wait to hear it. the content just keep on coming i feel spoiled hehe

leat

Hey ARMY! Blink twice if you're being held hostage by J&J content... I promised you a review after sleep and I keep my promise! First, my cat liked your voices and watched with me. Second, the video is long, but very interesting! BTS members have always paid a lot of attention to the creation of the concept. This is what they are known for (I hint at BU). "Jack in the box" is so different, but sewn with one thread. The beginning of the solo activities of the members was a surprise for us! And Hoseok was the first to release an album showing us a new side of the well-known Hobi. Love it! I really like all the songs in the album (but most of all Safety Zone). I agree with Hoseok's genius, but note that this applies to all members. It was interesting to hear your thoughts on the topics covered in the album. There are no bad people? I will say this, there are no initially bad people, but people become bad ... Everything has a reason, but people always have a choice! It's so hard to find answers to all rhetorical questions! Thank you for your opinion! I purple you💜

Glaseon_711

I feel so late to this party but I'm going to comment anyway :) watching and listening to you two break these songs down was a pleasure, thank you for keeping me company while I do my weekend chores 💜 I absolutely cannot wait to watch hobipalooza with you! Even though you two are relatively new to this scene, you're going to be absolutely proud of Hobi just like the rest of us 🥰

fox

BTS have about 300 songs in their discography of various styles and genres, and counting. Unfortunately the only songs and performances, that will make it to mainstream/western platforms are their English songs, which in all honesty, are more fun, simple, poppy and radio friendly, which is understandable, English speaking people want to hear English songs. So at first listen and glance, people unfamiliar with BTS see that and think, oh they’re just your typical boy band, because they’re fun and charming, which BTS can pull off effortlessly. So those people immediately dismiss their credibility as artists. When you come across j hopes album, and BTSs other albums, one will discover they are NOT your typical boy band. They’re artists! You’ll find songs deep in meaning, albums that come with a concept, and rich in references! I can’t tell you how many times BtS reference artists, paintings, songs, authors, books, and the news in their songs and visuals, and it’s just so exciting to me to see artists that are creative and intelligent. They might encourage people to follow their dreams, which may or may not be pursuing academic studies, but BTS never tell people to abandon learning and challenging yourself. They continue to learn and share knowledge through their music. It’s great because ARMY get exposed to books, music and art we may have never paid attention to. Sorry for the long comment, but it’s exciting you’re coming across this content. And I can’t wait till you guys get to songs like spring day and blood, sweat and tears, 134340 which will really rack your brains! Even songs like Gogo and Apanman appear fun, but also have underlying meaning. Also, I don’t think you guys need to be too hard on yourselves for not understanding certain things. Like many other artists, I feel like BTS want their work to be left to interpretation, or however it can be significant to you. Great work guys!

Selina T

If you are going to react to Hobipalooza then you'll want to react to Hope World and some of his solo songs on BTS albums (plus Chicken Noodle Soup) because he performs songs other than those on Jack in the Box in the set.

Jen Roe⁷

I interpreted the story of the first 5 tracks of Jack In the Box as follows: Tracks 1 & 2: I am Jhope and this is my origin story, Track 3: I am also Jack (in the Box) and I have a darker side, 4 and 5: these are the messages I am choosing to focus on spreading with my work, music and life. As you'll see, in the second half of the album he reflects on who he is to be able to spread those messages and the consequences or shadows that come about for him being that Piece of Peace, remaining hope in the world. Great reaction!

Jen Roe⁷

Loved this Album Review and now I cant wait for Part 2 and for the Hobipalooza. That one blewed me away and J-Hope was amazing. Grab something to drink and just enjoy his performance 💜💜💜

Noll⁷

An interesting concept about Pandoras “personality” is that she was curious by nature, that's why she opened the box, the box was supposed to not be opened but she did it anyways releasing all the “evil” emotions. Hope is also included as a “cursed” emotion bc can give you hope when there's none and makes you suffer even more. This is the side of “hope” that jhope portraits in the album particularly in Stop.

PamTan

"who has grown up into a 40 year old man OR woman" please Jared i love you for that. thank you for being so open minded. that alone made me so happy and so proud. I'm not trans myself but i know how hard it is for trans people and how people don't acklowlege them as much. thank you <3 from the bottom of my heart seriously i appreciate that.

korgi

Jordan, if you don't mind me asking..what feild of work were you in? the job you worked sounds like something I'm interested in doing and i'd like to look up that field

korgi

As for "Stop" the conversation you guys had on the line "what made us different" reminds me of how much i love watching Baliey Sarien because she posts videos on serial killers and she will go in depth from their birth to their present life or their death if they have passed. so we get to know how they grew up and what their environment was and how it came to them committing these crimes. sometimes they grow up from really bad environments and sometimes there is a person or a situation that pushes them to commit that crime and it's interesting to see how these people that might have been great children, top of their class and really friendly commit these horrible acts. for example edmund kemper. as a child he liked hurting small animals and would bury them in his back yard and no one said anything about it, his home life was not good but he had an IQ of 145, super smart, very friendly with the neighborhood police, you'd often see him hanging out at a bar where all the police officers would be but he was also kind of weird and didn't have many friends in school and he ended up taking the life of 6 college students,, his mother, her best friend and his grandparents which is just mind blowing, (don't ask how i remembered all that, I'm just extremely interested in serial killers lol) but yeah that's what it reminded me of

korgi

when you guys mentioned J. Cole i giggled because Hobi is a huge fan of J. Cole and is very inspired by him as well. Hobi created HopeWorld which was inspired by ColeWorld and in Ibts's song "hip hop phile" he rapped "before HopeWorld there was ColeWorld" and it just reminded me of that, also Hobi got to meet J. Cole during lolla and took a picture with him and captioned it "HopeWorld meets ColeWorld", something along those lines so that's really cool!

korgi

Im loving the extensive review. I am so in love with this album and its making me so excited to see what the other members' album will be. Im still listening to Jack in the Box everyday and my favorite song is Equal Sign. Looking forward to next week. Thanks for the hard work guys.

About Stop Meaning: From the perspective of a Christian like myself I took this song as a sarcastic look on human nature in general...Because in Christianity it is exact opposite ...the Bible teaches that we are all born sinners with sinful, selfish natures. Humanity is totally depraved, that is, all of us have a sinful nature that affects every part of us . The question is, where did that sinful nature come from? Were we born sinners, or did we simply choose to become sinners sometime after birth? We are born with a sinful nature, and we inherited it from Adam and Eve. “Sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people”. Every one of us was affected by Adam’s and Eve's sin, there are no exceptions. “One trespass resulted in condemnation for all people”. We are all sinners, and we all share the same condemnation, because we are all children of Adam and Eve. Because we are born sinners, we must experience a second, spiritual birth(baptism). We are born once into Adam’s and Eve's family and are sinners by nature. When we are born again, we are born into God’s family and are given the nature of Christ. There is a common belief today that people are born “good” and most people remain basically good at heart their whole lives. According to this theory, the evil that some people exhibit is the result of environmental factors—people only turn “bad” when external forces beyond their control twist them away from their basic goodness. This is a unbiblical view of human nature. So I think Jhope's question at the end "There are not bad people in the world right?" is a clear abolishment of this theory of all people being good at first , because if we are all good from the start how can we do such bad things to each other and the world? so yeah that is my take on this song but of course everyone can take it in a different way and that is a beauty of art , you can interpret it in many ways , thank you for your great reaction , I appreciate your effort and can't wait for part 2 of this album review!

D.A. dream

Thank you so much my fave brothers for taking the time to do a full album review 💜 When this first came out, I am soooo damn proud of Hobi. He's put a great amount of hardwork in this album, and he's done so well. When BTS does albums, they really think deep about a certain concept. And Hobi has adapted that. Though in all honesty, I love his first mixtape Hope World more. That's my type of music. But Jack in the Box is such a mature, deeper dive into Hobi's personality and I am grateful that he was not afraid to show it. Excited for you to watch Lollapalooza. I was able to watch the live stream for this in Weverse and not to exaggerate, but I definitely shed tears seeing him perform by himself. I am so proud of him. It was the first time he performed, not as BTS, but as J-hope. And it made me feel like a damn proud mum! And I'm happy that he was also able to perform Hope World songs as well. I love that album 💜 He was the life of that festival and anyone who doesn't agree can fight me here 😜 Thanks again for this! Borahae 💜

J-Lee

"Stop" is definitely a favorite for me, now. I related a LOT to what you said, Jordan, as thinking of there being a reason for every action. In my opinion, everything is interconnected and there's a reason for everything even if we ourselves are unaware of our reasons. Life is definitely all about perspective in a lot of ways, and taking time to try and understand or observe a different perspective can have huge impacts. For sure, for sure Edit: And, of course, Equal Sign is a masterpiece, lol. Looking forward to part 2 of the album review 💜

Emily Davidson

This was an excellent break down. It didn’t feel extensive at all. I love watching you guys speak and express your thoughts. I can’t get enough. I want to hear everything you have to say. As new army I’m taking this journey with you both. There’s much I still haven’t seen from them, but I much rather enjoy seeing it with you than on my own. Thank you so much for sharing you journey with me. Much love to you both 💜💜

About The Pandora's Box meaning: Jack In The Box opens up with “Intro,” a narration of the Greek mythology story of Pandora’s Box, where Zeus presented Pandora with a jar. After opening the jar, Pandora noticed that the last thing hidden inside the jar was hope. “Hope gave people the will to carry on living amidst the pain and strife.” “Intro” alludes to j-hope naming himself after the story. Inspired by the Greek story, the second track in the album, “Pandora’s Box” explores the birth and journey of the name “j-hope.” In the first verse of the song, j-hope raps about the inspiration behind his stage name and how it has transcended into becoming BTS’s hope. As the song progresses, he opens up about his journey as an artist. He states that his choices were necessary to become who he is. He concludes that although there might be hardships, after opening the box, he found his name, “Hope.” Throughout “Pandora’s Box,” he solidifies the idea of the name j-hope being born after the last item in the box, and how Jung Hoseok, his birth name, is constantly trying to live up to his name. “J to the hope / Jung to the 희망 / Jack in the box / Pandora’s hand / The last hope,” he raps.

D.A. dream

I'm actually listening to the album for the first time with you guys, too - I'm a tad late, lol. In regards to Pandora's Box lyrics, my mind went to how hope can't exist without the curses in the box. Hope was born amidst the darkness. Hope was created as a consequence of the curses being released. It was created as both a gift to rest in and a weapon to overcome the hardships. And now to listen to the rest of the songs...

Emily Davidson

What a fantastic reaction to a genius solo album... you will find as you "react" to each member that RM is most def not the only genius ... I'm going to respond after you finish complete album AND hopefully we can watch Hobipalluzza together ... As is the case w BTS THE ALBUM IS BETTER LIVE. ⬛◼♟🔳⚫🖤🔲⬜🤍🔳⚪🏳◽thank you J&j 🌌🟣🖤🟪💫

I can't wait for you to finish the album and then move to Hobipalooza which I was fortunate enough to be a part of. It was one of those once in a lifetime moments

Absolutely love diving deeper into the content with you guys <3 I literally look forward to Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday mornings (which is when your videos drop) and see what you have in store for us next. And Jordan, I truly appreciate you sharing your experience. I work with abused children and youth who grow up in violent, unsafe, and neglectful families and communities, and such realities give insight onto why people end up being perpetrators of violence themselves. Not many may share the belief but I do trust in the core essence of human beings, which is good. Lots of different ways to break down J-Hope's songs and I'm enjoying watching you piece together everything. Much love from the Philippines :)

Mimi

I seriously love these Ted talks 💜

Jessica Sanabria

Hi, don’t know if you recall this but I suggested to you to dive into his first works before this one because there is a flow to his mad genius. I think I mentioned it by saying something along the lines of the fact that hearing what he gave us then in comparison to now would be wise. Your learning that it all does come full circle but what I wanted most was for you to enjoy the absolute best of both his worlds beginning with his first works. My idea of doing rock papers scissors to bounce back and forth between the two albums may not have been the best idea because it could have taken you in directions that may have confused the story he was obviously trying to tell us but, yea, his first works must go hand in hand with this. As ARMY’s we had all the prequel to this and I just wanted you guys to have the same. With that said, I look forward to you getting to his previous works even more now so that I can relive it again vicariously. Bangtan hard💜🙌🏽

The theme is so genius. The whole concept. Like Jung Hoseok was this element in the box and when Pandora called upon him to assuage the darkness that befell mankind, (j-)Hope emerged leaving Jack--a personified amalgamation of all the parts of him not suited to this grand ordained mission--behind. But as a Jack in the Box tends to do, overtime, alone in the darkness, it got wound up. And up and up and up until it sprung forth. So Hope returns to meet Jack, to talk to him, acknowledge him, explore him and they have a conversation (that plays out literally in some of the lyrics) about the work of hope with regard to humanity, the role hope plays in his own life, and his own role as an agent of hope. The way he connected Pandora's Box to the Jack In The Box is genius in my opinion. It's poetic and profound and a little dark but with that touch of whimsy (picking what's basically a fairytale and a childhood game) that is so on-brand for j-hope...it's PERFECTION. Hope World (his first mixtape) had a lot of building narrative concepts too and even his solo songs in BTS' discography are called back on though his solo work. One of the hallmarks of Hoseok's lyricism is the way he references his own work--he frequently calls back to previous verses he's done. He's built his own universe in his music. I go over his stuff again and again and find new connections every time. It's so impressive. He's so thoughtful and meticulous and clever. He's such an exciting artist. All innovation. One of One.

SNBangtan

I don't have much to add, but that was a fantastic part 1! Looking forward to part 2 and then Hobipalooza! FYI - Thursday (September 1) is JK's birthday so watch for a live stream from him that day and RM is a featured on Balming Tiger called Sexy Nukim song being released on the 1st too.

Thank you Jared and Jordan for this brilliant breakdown and reaction to Jack In The Box. J Hope wrote the album mainly during the last 2 years of the pandemic which I think really made him question what he wants in life, how he sees the world and the changes (not positive) he’s seen around him. With the Intro and Pandora’s Box, it really delves into how he chose his stage name from the Greek Myth, wanting to be a positive, hopeful, “piece of peace) for ARMY. As someone explained in a comment about Pandora and expanding a little further, Pandora was created as the 1st woman by Zeus with all the gifts of beauty, kindness, wisdom to be a wife to Epimetheus as a punishment for stealing fire from the gods and giving it to humans (fire was only for the Gods). She was given a Jar or Box as a wedding gift and told not to open it but did so out of curiosity, unleashing life’s miseries (hatred, pain, poverty, war etc). She quickly closed the lid leaving only the small glimmer of “hope” inside. J Hope has always been this ray of hope and sunshine to everyone but I think he has struggled with wanting to be seen as something separate from BTS because he has ambitions he wants to fulfill, hence MORE. I think it’s wonderful but must be scary for him to think of this and it really comes out in this song. He stunned everyone when he just let loose and rocked out. I love it so much. Something that Jordan almost touched on when discussing Stop about the children he worked with (an incredible but brutal job, much love for that) and the concept of “bad” people is that kids are often labeled “bad kids” and let’s face it, we are a product of our environment. If we grow up in poverty, around violence and addiction, often people don’t make the better choices, we fall back on what we know. Hobi’s trying to say I believe, that their aren’t bad people, but people make bad choices in life. We aren’t born with hatred and prejudices, these are learned behaviours. We can fall back on only what we know or step outside and learn, open our minds to make the better choices, become better people. This leads into = sign where he really points out that as different as we are, we breathe, we love,we really are the same and equal to each other. I really admire and love Hobi for taking this step with this solo album. He jumped off the cliff of what was safe and known into the unknown as the 1st member to literally step outside of the box of BTS with a full solo album during this hiatus. It really does read like a story as you go along. I can’t wait for the rest. Sorry for going off on a tangent of my thoughts but I found this to be really exciting and it expanded what I felt from the album myself. Love to you both 🤗🙏💜💜

Cheryl ⁷ Lambert

I might be wrong but I feel like Jared will really like Safety Zone, it's my favorite out of the entire album (and Jhope's favorite too😂he mentioned it on his interviews)

Butterful

I would love to see your reaction to their Grammy 2022 performance.

Yeontae

I definitely would of recommend the first mix tape from jhope before doing this album. I would recommend at least do his first before lollapalooza since he does songs from his first as well in the concert.

April Forgue

Omg I can’t believe my comment was chosen 🤭 i changed up my profile a bit by the way but I hope I’m still recognisable 😂😂 my name is pronounced Anjola. The ‘j’ is not silent but cool of you to try 😂 and the ‘o’ is pronounced more like ‘uh’ like in call, saw etc. Loved your reaction as always, I’ve been looking forward to your album review since it dropped over a month ago and can’t wait for part 2 and you’re hobipalooza reaction. It was honestly out of this world. The more you discover the member’s solo work, the more you realise how intelligent and borderline (definitely over the border to be real😂) genius level these 7 guys are. So I can’t wait for you to discover those sides of them. Borahae as always 🥰💜💜

Anjola

doing the performance reaction in a livestream would be awesome! so we can enjoy it alongside you guys!

alessia

Thank you so much, I just woke up and this is a great way to start the day, seeing positive and insightful content. I think you guys did a great job, omg I just imagined that once in a while a livestream would be so much fun! you can ask us questions regarding the songs live and we can refer you to good explanations or extra content while we listen to your breakdowns and analysis.

alessia

OMG! Your faces when you watched More's explanation video. 😅 I therefore conclude that we will get to see those faces again as you go over all BTS' songs. Especially the MVs that are included in the BTS Universe (BU)🤣 52:20, rapline are top tier in regard to their lyricsm. Brace yourselves for more. 😉💜

Angela

Thank you for another thoughtful review/analysis! Just a heads up in case you might not know, the official video of Hobipalooza on BangtanTV does not have English subtitles. If you want to watch it with subtitles, you can find it in two parts on the YouTube channel "Enjoy BTS more" (the same channel you used for the Jack in the Box lyric videos). It's especially helpful for J-Hope's ending speech in Korean.

berha

You guys opened my mind to alternative meanings to stop and more. I really appreciate that!! BTS songs and their solo songs could be a whole year of college electives. That's how deep they are. Thanks guys for another awesome video 💜💜

LizP⁷⁷⁷⁷⁷⁷⁷

I was able to go to Hobipalooza and he was INCREDIBLE! It was my first time seeing any of the BTS members live. The whole album is magical. Enjoyed the reaction!

Jess

I can’t wait for your Lollapalooza reaction! Jhope made history that night and the crowd was beautiful 🫶🏼

Zo

Ty for the reaction!!!

dyxqdthyfv

Are you going to do full reaction to BTS album too?? From Dark & Wild? I really hope so 💜

dyxqdthyfv

Loved this as always! That was a great first album review, looking forward to part 2 and so excited to watch Hobipalooza with you! Borahae 💜💜

Abbie

I am waiting sooooooooo much for #HOBIPALOOZA!! 💜 💜 💜 💜 💜

Amanda Sottani

This was the best album review I ever watched. I learned so much about the album and each song with your breakdown and analysis through bookish theories. Even I haven't had the time to break down each song in the album but you guys did such an excellent job with these first 5 tracks that I can't wait for part 2!

Alishea

I am waiting for #HOBIPALOOZA!! 💜 Loved this reaction. Thank you! Jack in the Box is a masterpiece in every way it counts. I am so proud of Hobi! Can't wait for Part 2 & and your reaction to the Concert. 😌

MistikButterfly

Oh wow, I didn't expect to see one of my comments! Lol! Thanks so much for this reaction guys!

DanielleM

Another amazing reaction. Hopefully you will react to the BTS concert on 15th October 2022 at 6pm korean time with the whole thing being free with about 100,000 attending it will also be streamed for free on Weverse, Zepeto and Naver Now. BTS have that they would love to do a free concert for ARMY and now that wish is coming true, this just goes to show what kind of people these 7 incredible humans are. BORAHAE

Heather Miller⁷

Absolutely love your videos and wanted to share more about pandoras box since I’m in love with Greek mythology and it connects so much to the song, it’s a Greek myth where a god gave a box to pandora stating that he forgave the humans for there previous “betrayal” but told her to never open it, the god knew that curiosity would make her open the box so he filled it with horrible emotions that humans didn’t possess yet, pandora opened it and closed it as soon as the bad emotions came out accidentally leaving hope in the chest, later on she reopened the box and hope was released into the world and helped give humans the missing piece to keep fighting! I hope you guys are doing well and I appreciate every video u make💜

Hannah

The ridiculous noise I just made when I got this notification. 😂 As someone who once deeply loved a person whom years later ended up in prison, I wholly appreciate JHope's heart behind "Stop". Some may see it as näivity, but I think it does embody hope. Hope that actions ≠ people. Actions can be atrocious but humans are amalgamations of varying levels of 'good' & 'bad' thoughts & actions. Existentially speaking that is.. because of course it's hard not to see certain people as 💩 or 😈 at times. I personally believe as Namjoon does.. that humans are intrinsically neither good nor bad. (That the life we're 'given' & how we live it paints our picture in a sense, but we're all born as a blank canvas.) I think the premise of "Stop" can fall in with that line of belief as well. I love this album so much. I agree, Hobi is indeed a genius. Can't wait to see the rest of your "Jack In The Box" reaction/review/deep-dive & your future "Hope World" & Hobipalooza reactions! 💜

viperine

Yes! I love it! I can’t wait for you guys to watch Lollapalooza. I agree…grab a glass of wine (or two) and just enjoy the concert to the fullest. No dissecting. Just enjoy. I look forward to grabbing a glass of wine with you guys and enjoying it all over again. 😊

Veronica⁷

Guys! I absolutely love y’all’s reactions!!! You both are just always so introspective and insightful. You really appreciate the art and want to know as much about the meaning and backstory of a work as you can. Thank you for this reaction! I know it’s lengthy and I love that. We don’t mind that at all. I, for one, appreciate it more because I know how much you both care to delve into the work. JITB for me is emotional. I cried while listening to it when it dropped, a couple times actually. I recorded myself while listening to it because I wanted to have that moment documented since it’s such a huge moment for J-Hope as an artist and I guess for ARMY as well, as fans. JITB is just a masterpiece of work from J-Hope. I loveee how much wisdom J-Hope drops on the world within these songs, especially with the first half. Sorry this wasn’t supposed to be a long comment lol BUT I’m sure my comment on part 2 will be just as long (probably longer lol) so heads-up 😂 Anyways, much love and support to you both. Borahae💜

Kia

Omg. Thank you for this insight. Incredible!!!!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽💜💜

BTS - Jared & Jordan

Ah that is a fantastic suggestion Lakisha!!! We will try not to pause! And we’ll see if we’re able to stream live. If not, we’ll share as a video for you all to watch with us 😊💜 6 more Kings to go is right!!!

BTS - Jared & Jordan

Thank you Alicia!! So deep, right!? Glad you enjoyed 💜😊🙏🏽

BTS - Jared & Jordan

Angie…this comment just gave us the biggest smiles ever. Thank you thank you thank you. You are spot on with your insight. We’ll make sure to get to “Heartbeat” soon (hopefully). The love and support that you shower us with is appreciated more than you’ll ever know. Borahae!!! Can’t wait to share Hobipalooza! 💜💜

BTS - Jared & Jordan

I read a post made by a Korean fan that said that the word “More” is pronounced similar to the Korean word for Water witch is “Mul” that’s why he makes all this water references like “I’m thirsty” “need to go surfing” and “soak up the music” and I thought that was genius.

Silvia R

Thanks so much Yara!! What kind of drink did you sip on? 😉 We will add this short love to our list of videos to check out when we react to Hobipalooza!! 💜💜💜💜

BTS - Jared & Jordan

Thank you for this FANTASTIC and digestible explanation!!! 💜💜💜💜💜 Borahae!

BTS - Jared & Jordan

Great reaction guys, as always. May I suggest streaming J-HOPE at lollapalooza live and no pausing. I was thinking that as you two said it. Stream it live and we will join you. I cannot move on from his performance, I am so proud of him and he was so captivating on stage.. and Army showed up and showed out!!! I am proud of ARMY too for the love and support they gave to him. Record breaking. 6 more Kings to go ARMY!!!

Lakisha Johnson

Thank you Sharon!! Excited to share Hobipalooza with you 😊

BTS - Jared & Jordan

Thank you for all of your comments 💜💜 your story is inspiring and beautiful. We are so sad to hear about the discrimination that you and your brother receive and wish we could eliminate it all! We cannot wait to get to Hobipalooza 😊 thank you for being you and being here with us 💜

BTS - Jared & Jordan

Love your reactions! I had hear the álbum and never imagined how deep it is! Borahae guys! 💜💜💜💜💜💜

Alicia

Damned if they do, damned if they don’t. Thank you for sharing this insight Tori!! It is very sad to see all that the members have had to endure. But to see where they are now, and that none of them have lost their perspective and drive…is SPECTACULAR 👏🏽💜

BTS - Jared & Jordan

Imagine getting into BTS as we all have and thinking we are getting to know them and their personalities and we are traveling on this journey with them…we know Hobi as the the hope and happiness of BTS….upon hearing about their break during the Festa dinner and seeing them break down no one really knew what it all meant….then we get told of solo projects….and your faces upon reacting to MORE is exactly how it hit us all…there were statements like “what happened to Hobi”…. I have a feeling that with each member this crazy BTS world we are in is gonna get bigger and even more mind blowing….they are 7 geniuses, 7 brothers, and 7 of the most insanely talented young men we have ever seen….and together they are the powerhouse they are….no other musical talent has literally managed to create a universe within a universe that has brought millions of people together all just being loving and supporting of each other…..they have a song called Heartbeat that was a song written for a game if I’m not mistaken and the video gives me chills…cuz it looks like a divine power put them together…and Hobi says he believes they we’re destined to meet….here I go again….thanx for this can’t wait for part 2 and hobipalooza💜Borahae

Angie7

Jared and Jordan, another great great reaction, I even grabbed a drink for this one🤣💜 Please don't ever apologize or worry about making long videos, we are down for it.💜💜💜 When you react to HOBIPALOOZA please, please, pleeease react also to this short live he did right after the performance charing his process and gratitude, you'll see his performance in a different light, a more meaningfull light + he brings a special guest(Jimin) https://youtu.be/-yre1b7EXGc

Yara

Thanks so much JPz!! “Hobi always has a plan”…we love this. Hobipalooza is coming very soon 😊 thank you for your love and kind words. Every comment that you and other ARMYs make is so appreciated 🙏🏽💜

Katherine Cordero

WHATTTTT!? How did we miss V in the MV!? Thank you for pointing this out. We’ll have to go back and take a look!

BTS - Jared & Jordan

Oooh Grammy-worthy! We love it. That would be such an amazing moment. But you’re right…the old fashioned institution may not be ready for it. A KMA would be fantastic. We appreciate you Anaïs!! 💜💜

BTS - Jared & Jordan

Also, just to add, with Pandora's box, if you focus on the English words spoken in the Intro, it might make a little more sense ;) Essentially, Pandora's husband was gifted a box, but told not to open it under any circumstances. Pandora, unable to resist the temptation, opened the box, unleashing the 7 deadly sins on the world. She tried to close the box, but it was too late. A short time later, she heard a noise from inside the box, and opened it one last time, discovering a tiny beacon of light. That light was "hope" - representing that even though we now have these horrors to face, there's always a small ray of hope that things will be okay.

Crystal

loved it! looking foward to the hobipalloza reaction.

Sharon Bagchi 7

Thank you for your insight Leat!! And yea you’re exactly right, the fact that she makes sense is what’s most important 💜😊

BTS - Jared & Jordan

Great reaction! Thank you for using my comment, like you said in the video we all experience the world differently depending on our ethnicity. I was born in Mexico and came to the US when I was ten, it was tough and the fact that I was born in another country places barriers as I grow up and try reaching my dreams. But even my brother and I have different experiences. His skin is darker than mine and he faces discrimination on a daily. I'll never know how that feels but I can understand and make sure I do all I can . Like Jhope, I wonder why people hate others for being different. I can't wait to see your reaction to the second half and Hobipalooza. Like some people have told you guys, he performs his other songs. You can definitely watch the stage before reacting to his other mixtape, especially since you seem so eager to watch it.

Katherine Cordero

ABSOLUTELY!!!! 💜💜💜

BTS - Jared & Jordan

Oooooh that is a fascinating quote. Thank you for sharing Sienna!! 🤯🤯

BTS - Jared & Jordan

Thank you for suggesting this Daryl!! We can’t wait to get to it 💜😊

BTS - Jared & Jordan

Music is Music! You are spot on. Hobi’s growth is apparent even to us, and we are still relatively new to his work. We hope you get some wonderful sleep 😊 we hope to hear your thoughts when you finish the video 💜

BTS - Jared & Jordan

This is our plan!! Thanks so much SierraNicole! ICONIC…we’re excited 🤯

BTS - Jared & Jordan

I can't explain how excited I am for you to get to their song, HipHop Phile (also known as HipHop Lover) - it literally goes into detail of how each rapper found their own sound and love for HipHop, inspired by some of the greatest artists of all time. Every time you mention them being inspired by artists, I have to physically hold myself back from repeatedly recommending this song. I just know you'll love it. I'm so excited for your reaction to part 2 of Jack in the Box, as well as your first experience of Hobipalooza.

Crystal

Can’t wait to share it with you!!

BTS - Jared & Jordan

We saw this pic!! It made us so happy 😊😊💜💜

Thank you Irina!! Hobipalooza coming soon 😊🙏🏽💜

BTS - Jared & Jordan

Ah gotcha, thank you for the insight Kenya! 💜

BTS - Jared & Jordan

For a first album review, you guys are doing great! I really enjoyed watching your journey through the first part of this album. Hobi's lyrics can be more difficult to analyze and digest than we sometimes realize because of his references, use of idioms, etc., but the "oh" moment when you are able to connect it all is so satisfying every time. The more you get to know them, you will see that j-hope as a dance leader and an artist is known for being really particular about what he presents and he really thinks out every detail. He even told ARMYs during a live in July, "Hobi always has a plan" and "I'm not j-hope for nothing." I am so excited for you to watch Hobipalooza and see how the mix between his songs and the visuals all structure his story as he wants to portray it to us. He was able to perform for over an hour, and still left us wanting so much more. ARMY is so, so proud of him. Great reaction as always! Your respect for the members of BTS is so touching to watch in each video.

JPz⁷

Thanks so much Lou!! We’ll be sure to check it out 🙏🏽💜

BTS - Jared & Jordan

We hope to make you even happier 💜💜

BTS - Jared & Jordan

Great suggestion! We’ve seen others suggest this too. Do you think it would be okay for us to jump right into Hobipalooza and then go back to Hope World for a deeper review afterwards? 💜💜

BTS - Jared & Jordan

We hope to watch this soon! 💜💜

BTS - Jared & Jordan

The excitement we have to watch Hobipalooza is hard to explain. It is excessive 😂💜

Thank you for watching and supporting Detaejk!! 💜💜

BTS - Jared & Jordan

i think this will give more context to why jhope said he decided to sing equal signs chorus in english this is their tweet about stop asian hate and they told us some of their experiences outside of korea. https://twitter.com/bts_twt/status/1376712834269159425?lang=en also when they released their 3 english songs many people mocked them said their english was bad that they couldnt understand them and many even said they shouldnt sing in english because theyre korean. they were getting these comments not only from haters but also media outlets saying they were becoming westernized or trying too hard etc basically telling them they cant or rather arent allowed to speak english. meanwhile before this all people would ask them for is to speak in english or make english music because they cant listen to korean music. im not sure if the people giving these critiques were the same or two different groups of people but it seemed as though bts couldnt do anything like nothing they do is enough. i think thats why this song hit even more knowing and seeing what people have told them since coming to the states in 2017. not to bring twitter negativity here but for example this exchange between bts haters and armys explains it. bts and army are usually on the same page and bts see a lot of things we wish they didnt see from haters. https://twitter.com/sarasfilter/status/1561169346336116738?s=20&t=CuVXB1yIomX6EEqIa5UmAA

tori

I think we all had the same reaction the first time we saw More. XD The feels Hobi gave us in this album are incredible ! By the way, did you notice V in the MV ? He made an unplanned apparition ! There's is a BTS Episode for the filming of the video ! You have to see it !

Jenn - Parole de libraire

I can't wait for you to react to his performance at Lollapalooza, also, I recommend Bookish Theory in the future for many of BTS' tracks, specially when you will move on from the school album trilogy, it's where the BU (Bangtan Universe) starts, which is somewhat overwhelming to understand but her videos are a great help. J-Hope did an amazing work with this album, and while it wasn't the typically commercial hip-hop album, specially with MORE as a pre-released single and ARSON (which you will discover) as a title track, it's not GP friendly (General Public) in South Korea, but to me, it was one of the best work released this year by a rapper. I would go as far as saying it deserves a Grammy nomination, however, I won't go into details but this institution will never nominate - them as solo artists - nor even consider make BTS or any of their members win. Thus, to me it does deserve this kind of international recognition, but they won't. I hope it's nominated for the KMA, which is kind of the equivalent in South Korea. Anyway, this album is great and so is your reaction, can't wait for part 2.

Anaïs

green day actually played at the same time as j-hope at the other stage but j-hope had the most of the audience i think green day ended before j-hopes did so the people came over to see j-hope too i read some comments from the locals who was not bts fans. and they said they were amazed by his music and the audience interaction. and j-hope rally wanted an unbiased opinion of his music he also did a listening party for alle the producers in korea to judge his work. the explanation video for more was good but i don't like her tone it´s like she never breathes hehe i should really listen hard to understand her since english is not my first language. but what she is was amazing and make sence and that is the most important.

leat

Hope you'll get to react to his full live performance at Lollapalooza (Hobipalooza)💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

A very good info is JHope's "JIB Album interview "(saw it on BangtanTV) where Hobi explained in detail the meaning of or the inspirations for each song. This is where I gained a true appreciation of Hobi's dedication, organization and effort he put into this whole album which made me love the album even more.

RhadAnne

I'm commenting mid-video... at More I think everyone would enjoy Rock music. I am Black Caribbean born in England. Green day, Linkin Park, Fall Out Boy, Paramore, No Doubt are some of my faves of all time. Music is music. In regards to JITB I am so proud and impressed by Hobi, the album shows growth from Hope world and Ego and showed all sides of him. I will watch the rest of your video later, it's gone midnight here rn.

Beckyboo⁷

Commenting before watching but after you finish the album, you should watch Hobipalooza!! It's ICONIC. And we overuse that term in the k-pop world (not that you can really call j-hope kpop) but I actually mean ICONIC.

SNBangtan

Can't wait for the lollapalooza reaction!

Jhope posted a photo of him and J.Cole at Lollapalooza on his instagram. 😎💜

I can't wait for the 2nd half of the review. Future is my favourite song off JITB.

Hei guys could you please do this quiz that I did about what do the armys think about bts' impact in society and some other questions about army. Its for an assigment that I have to complete soon, so if you could help this fellow army in help it would mean a lot. Here is the link: https://forms.gle/xA5Hie4HngM9oseB7

aaahhh finally!!!!! thank you guys!! looking forward to your Lollapalooza reaction as well! 💜🤗 but before that you may want to listen first to j-hope's first mixtape (Hope World) so you can appreciate more the other songs that he played during his Lollapalooza set 😁

Omg I hope you guys can get to Lollapalooza soon too. He absolutely KILLED IT. Edit: I just seen you guys talk about it in the video, not tryna be aggressive. Also he performed about 19 songs and others were BTS songs or his songs from Hope World, so maybe you should do a album review for that first. 💜🤣🤣
