The Endless Sleep Pirates

Presenting the Endless Sleep Pirates! Captain Somnum leads the crew, eater of the dream-dream fruit which allows him to enter and manipulate dreams of anyone asleep within a certain vicinity. To that end, the members of his crew have been handpicked because of their abilities to render their victims unconscious or asleep so their captain can learn their secrets and his crew can plunder the spoils! The ship’s cook is also a devil fruit user of the fog-fog fruit which he uses to create a cloaking mist around their ship when they sneak up on other vessels. Other members use hypnosis techniques, sleeping gas, sleeper holds and even minor exsanguination!

Captain Somnum, the enterprising young leader of this motley crew ate the dream-dream devil fruit when he was but a teenager. (blue hair and mustache) It took him many years of trial and error to learn how to control his powers which allow him to enter anyone's dream within 100 meters, In fact, he can enter many peoples' dreams simultaneously but doing so puts great strain on his mind and body. It's why he has such dark circles under his eyes. Going into others' dreams does not mean that Somnum is restful, in fact quite the opposite. He suffers from insomnia and envies the deep sleep of those he encounters. He can freely determine what happens in the person's dream and probe their subconscious to learn their secrets. He is able to keep someone who is already asleep from waking, even after leaving their dream for up to twelve hours. He has no skill with physical encounters and relies entirely on his crew to put enemies and rivals to sleep so he can use his dream powers.

Chef Kumo (the big fellow seen here with the headband) is Somnum's oldest friend and crewmate. He ate the fog-fog fruit which allows him to exhale thick fog, or he can turn parts of his body into heavy obscuring mist. Usually he uses this ability to hide the ship to avoid contact with the military or to sneak up on other ships to pillage. Offensively he can easily hide within his fogbanks to strike down opponents without being detected. He has tremendous defensive fighting capabilities as well but prefers to be cooking for the crew. He owes his captain a great debt and when Somnum is in a dream state, he is reluctant to leave his side. Despite the difference in their years, he and Somnum have spent too many years sleeping next to each other not to have begun exploring a more sexual side of their relationship. In fact, Somnum knows Kumo's dreams so well, with such familiarity, that sleeping next to the big chef is some of the only restful sleep he ever gets!

Ambrose Grivas is the First Mate of the Endless Sleep Pirates' crew and eater of the bat-bat fruit. The fruit made him an immortal vampire who has recently decided to try his hand at piracy after a long prison stint in Impel Down. Since the crew is often active during the day, he, as a creature of the night has created something of a symbiotic relationship with them, watching over them while they sleep. Due to Somnum's insomnia however, the two often find themselves up all night, conversing and becoming closer. Recently, with Kumo's permission, the three of them have begun a relationship. Like a true vampire, sunlight hurts him terribly and being exposed to it for very long will kill him. To alleviate this weakness, Ambrose carries a custom-made umbrella during the day which also has a blade concelaed within its handle. He is an accomplished swordsman and canny combatant. He drinks blood, but not enough to kill, instead it makes his victims fall into a deep sleep. He considers the act of draining someone to the point of death to be 'barbaric.'Should he wish it, he can also inject a paralytic venom from his fangs. Ambrose also has a fondness for romance novels, though he vehemently denies it!
