2022-09-02 14:19:37 +0000 UTCMelodic Blue and The Lost Boy are equal for me. But I agree this one didn’t grab me the same way as Lost Boy. Nothing quite gave me the same feelings as Bad Idea or RNP, but I enjoyed this album for sure.

2022-01-21 14:53:57 +0000 UTCAs for under 25, while I think Cordae might be the best rapper, I might put Baby Keem as a hip hop artist above him (really love his production, and his rapping is still super fun). Mainly because I'd rank Melodic Blue >= Lost Boy >> Birds Eye View

2022-01-20 23:28:59 +0000 UTCMy biggest complaint about this album is I don't see any way that it's better than The Lost Boy. I would rather listen to that instead. While there were highs (Jean-Michael, Westlake High), I expected more from the Freddie, Stevie Wonder, and originally Nas song (since Life Is LIke A Dice Game is one of my favorite songs of last year full stop). It's not bad, but I hestitate to call it truly good, as opposed to above average.

This felt at times like he was trying a bit too hard to make some hits, and I agreed with you generally about the type of songs he fits better on. The beat on the Gunna song did sound really obnoxious at first. I enjoyed Eminem's verse on the Parables remix without it being one of my favorite eminem verses, and I'm looking forward to an mmlp reaction someday.
