Love the reaction. I remember this first night I think I played it front to back two straight times. Then twice a day for a month. I hate to say it, but Kanye refused to let this album just be a 10. The executive decisions that backfired completely, all over this thing. Okay, Donda, fine, the mom’s heartbeat, I played it once and never again, that’s ok, I get it. Jail, awesome. Then on God Breathed it all starts. An okay song at best, made unplayable with a 2.5 min outro, now it’s an auto-skip. Off the grid, yes. Hurricane, yes. Then Praise God, so close, it was so close, then Baby Keem is allowed to end his verse that way… I mean come on man. The way my face just fell and fell at what his vocals were. Unlistenable. Jonah, okay. Ok, ok is very solid track. Junya, not necessary. Believe what I say, good but not meant for this album. 24, fantastic. Remote control, meh. Moon and Heaven and Hell, fantastic. Donda-Tell the Vision, all pretty skippable to me. Then Lord I need you, Pure Souls are really really special to me. Come to Life is somewhere between an all-timer and just amazing. Then has no child left behind, just not necessary, left come to life end it. So if you slice a couple very odd or very unnecessary parts of good songs, and cut a few unnecessary entire songs. You’ve got a 9/10. But it’s caps at like a 7/10 but only because there’s sooooo much extra fat on this thing. That’s just my opinion of course, but I challenge anyone to defend God Breathed, Junya, Remote Conteol, Tell the Vision, New Again, Donda, and No child Left Behind ALLL being included.
