Jay Z would be remembered like KRS-One if not for Kanye

2021-06-13 15:17:50 +0000 UTCI would rather go to war to save Young Thug's life than for my country.
2021-06-13 13:42:49 +0000 UTCLupe is the best rapper of all time and easily the best lyricist ever .

2021-06-11 01:49:03 +0000 UTCBig Boi was actually the better rapper in OutKast, he had better flows, bars, and was more consistent. The only reason so many people overlook him for Andre 3k is because they can pick up what Andre says on a first listen, whereas Big Boi takes multiple listens (and maybe a visit to a lyrics site) to get a handle on what he is saying. It's very apparent on Stankonia especially, and also proven by their solo careers, or rather Andre's lack of one. Andre 3000 might have been a star, but he only reached those heights because Big Boi held him up.

2021-06-09 18:09:50 +0000 UTCDef need Jon to react to tha Carter 1-3. Even at 21 wayne was rapping insane while making hits.

2021-06-09 14:53:58 +0000 UTCPeople need to stop using the phrase “mumble rapper” to describe artists. It’s almost always used in a negative and disrespectful tone. Just because a rapper doesn’t make boom bap lyrical music doesn’t mean they should be called a mumble rapper

2021-06-09 14:52:15 +0000 UTCThis is the new jay z vs nas debate. And the answer is the same. Nas/ Cole are better lyricist but Hov/Kendrick make better songs with diverse styles while also being considered S-Tier rappers. That equation will always be better than lyricism.

2021-06-09 14:48:15 +0000 UTCLupe Fiasco has arguably the best group of 4 albums in hip-hop history, there's no artist that's definitively ahead of him

2021-06-09 14:46:23 +0000 UTCFor someone that’s considered one of the top 5 best rappers of all time (by people of the culture). This channel hasn’t even begun to dive into Lil Wayne’s catalogue

2021-06-09 14:45:30 +0000 UTCOn the topic of female rappers, would be nice to get some views for some of the great lesser known artists to put on female artists that people don't know about (Doja/Meg/Cardi are well known so it's not like reactions would put people on them). Little Simz, Che Noir, CHIKA, Armani Caesar, Noname, Rapsody, etc.

2021-06-09 14:45:11 +0000 UTCThe “mumble rappers” are actually making the best music over underground rappers

2021-06-09 12:12:42 +0000 UTCThis is a hot take re: the channel. You don't listen to enough female hiphop artists. Like many, I've followed the channel since RockReacts. Since then, I think you've listened to maybe 1 Doja Cat song, 1 Meg Thee Stallion song and 1 Cardi B song (that aren't features). These are three of the biggest US female hiphop artists in the game right now. These ladies have a whole list of hits from the past 3 years. And yet there are entire Lana Del Rey project reacts on the channel. I know it's not primarily a hiphop channel, but.. it is. Thats 90% of the reacts. So where's the love for the female rappers? They got bars, bro

2021-06-09 06:32:08 +0000 UTC2020s Pop is already sounding better than 2010s
2021-06-09 06:23:38 +0000 UTC"Inherently" isn't the right word to use. Often, frequently, consistently; these would all be more applicable words. There are plenty of rap songs that don't address those topics at all, and are about death, struggle, family etc. Proof positive that it's not a problem "inherent" to rap. Simply an issue symptomatic of the culture

2021-06-09 06:22:35 +0000 UTCLil Wayne is the most influential rapper of his generation.
David Rowse
2021-06-08 20:45:32 +0000 UTCJ Cole is a technically more diverse and skilled lyricist than Kendrick it’s just that Kendrick has a more poignant message through most of his raps so it seems more impressive.

2021-06-08 18:27:59 +0000 UTCRun the jewels has 3 of the most slept on rap albums of the 7 yrs. Easily as good if not out right better than anything the top tier rappers have released

2021-06-08 17:08:49 +0000 UTCI agree for a lot of underground artists, but there are some (Open Mike Eagle, Quelle Chris, Billy Woods etc.) that dont get nearly as much praise as they should. All 3 have made arguably some of the best and most unique hip-hop albums to ever be released.
Connor Grenier
2021-06-08 14:09:55 +0000 UTCThere is not actually a ‘big 3’ in hip-hop. Drake and Kendrick are on a completely different level than any other artist in the genre right now. Drake sales-wise and Kendrick skill-wise. J. Cole does not come close to Drake (sales-wise) or Kendrick (skill-wise) to be named in the same group. If you need to mention a third-one, than Travis is more eligible for the spot than Cole due to his creativity.

2021-06-08 12:59:42 +0000 UTCEminem is overrated and his music was good at the time because of shock value. It was like the new counterculture after the death of grunge. Once the shock value went away his music is good but not great. He has 1 maybe 2 great projects but overall he has more misses than hits. His music is not timeless and quickly gets outdated. Hi YouTube👋

2021-06-08 12:35:36 +0000 UTCGatti Pop smoke and Travis wasn’t even a song in 2K. You could barely hear that song the way it was censored

2021-06-08 12:06:37 +0000 UTCMixtapes (a lot of them) are better than a lot of rapper's studio albums, Jon you should react to mixtapes too
Timothy Payton
2021-06-08 11:16:42 +0000 UTCA lot of "Underground" rappers aren't nearly as good as their fan base make them out to be. They're just blinded by loyalty, typically most Underground artist all rap about the same thing "depression, "real"hiphop" streets etc. Most of them follow the same formula and wonder why they can't make it, but their fanbase will swear up and down that they're better than jcole

2021-06-08 09:53:45 +0000 UTCThe Life of Pablo is the best Kanye album, it’s his album that seems the most like him, and the idea of an ever-changing project makes it really human.

2021-06-08 09:41:18 +0000 UTCRap shouldn't be censored in games and media, either play it as intended or don't ruin the music. For example, play some 2k and listen to the songs in the menu get absolutely butchered. Not just curse words but anything considered even somewhat controversial. It's unlistenable
