Its like notorious thugs (bone thugs and biggie) where you really appreciate how Biggie adjusted his flow for Bone Thugs. In this case, Mariah is giving you that melodic singing to match the melodic rapping that you usually hear from Bone Thugs. Bone Thugs along with 3 6 Mafia are a couple of the groups that have been a great influence on that melodic double time rapping you hear today.

People forget and other don't realize how undefeated 90s Mariah was...not only in terms of vocals, but song writing, producing, and just her overall artistry was at its peak.
