Adding Custom Audio & New Beta Release
Added 2020-12-14 00:00:02 +0000 UTCAlright! The next Beta release for Lustiest Lair has dropped, in this version I've finished up the dialogue for all the vanilla heroes -- except for the Musketeer, since getting the Cursed Witch fight to work took a lot longer than expected, and I hadn't the time to finish "lewdifying" our rifle-weilding lady.
Turns out the AI in Darkest Dungeon is something else -- and I don't mean that in a good way -- the idea behind the fight was quite simple, but just to get something that seems "simple" to do what you want can be a pain in the butt for our AI. Some triggers are finnicky, other triggers don't work off of other triggers when it seems like it should, but eventually I was able to "hack" it.
If you find any bugs on that fight, please let me know!
I'll be getting the patch notes up for this version soon, I'll be editing this post when I finish it. It'll be filled with spoilers, so just a heads up if you want to avoid that kinda thing.
In other good news! I've started working with FMOD Studio so I can start adding custom audio to Lustiest Lair. Once I figure out how to get the audio working I'm going to see about adding some custom audio for Lustiest Lair.
Which brings me to my next piece of news! I'll be updating my Patreon goal to $300/month, I'm looking at a few places to commission some sound people so I can get something that is "in flavor" with Darkest Dungeon. The last thing I want to do is to just purchase some lewd sound assets which only "kind of" work and just end up habitually breaking immersion.
At the end of the day, we want to have a mod that looks like a lewd Darkest Dungeon -- which Hersir has been fantastic at! If you can afford to, I'm sure they'd appreciate any support on our artist's Patreon. :) We want Lustiest Lair to read like a lewd version of Darkest Dungeon. And now we want Lustiest Lair to sound like a lewd version of Darkest Dungeon!
It definitely won't be an easy task considering that currently it's just me and one other person working on this, which is the reason why I've added a new goal to our Patreon.
Oh, and if you have any recommendations for sound people or places to commission some, feel free to DM me. I've got a few I'm interested in, though I'm open to keeping my options open.
Either way, all the support you've been giving this project has been fantastic. Really 'preciate it and hope you continue to enjoy Lustiest Lair as much as we're enjoying working on it. :)

Thanks. There should be a death trigger there, should be fixed within the next update.

2021-01-15 21:54:52 +0000 UTCCould you tell us how you did that? like, what file specifically, and what program you used to open it if it was a DARKEST file?

2021-01-08 08:26:23 +0000 UTCI had the same problem with the witch being invincible when she hit 0. So i had a look around in the file and her ".can_die_from_damage" class was set to false, setting it to true made her killable. I imagine there is meant to be another phase after but for the time that fixed it.
2020-12-31 20:26:01 +0000 UTCThis error effects her battle, making it impossible to kill her. She will be left with 0/4 health and will continue to attack you without bringing out more copies. Since She is Immune to all damage outside of "It's Curse Is...", you cannot finish her off.
