2021-01-01 12:23:34 +0000 UTCI think it's a slow appreciation. It took me a while to fall into the whole " skits " idea from albums. Generally it's an older style, so someone who wasn't really into hip hop in the 90's and early 00's won't appreciate it as much. When you hear something like Good Kid Maad City you feel like skits can be done better. Concept albums have grown since Skits were a popular thing. Personally, I think that's holding Big Krit back.

Two, if you listen to it again one of the skits start to talk about "edible wrappers" which is obviously about food at first listen, but he actually means "edible RAPPERS". Honestly you should just look up the album concept online & let someone else explain it to you better, but if anything hopefully I've sparked your brain a bit to reanalyze the album itself already bc it really is hilarious & just pure genius the way he put all these songs together & stuck to a theme. That is art
