Unless we are gonna explore some incest themes, maybe Haru has a resistance to the amulet's awareness blocking? Could be fun to see the amulet get abused actively before settling into a reasonable amount of change.

First Haru finds and tries the necklace, then have an arguement with her mother, leaving the necklace left on the kitchen floor which alters the perception of reality for both. Given Mirai did not knew what happened and was a bit surprised when Haru hugged her when they came back.

(Also the necklace was identified as moms in exam prep and we've seen how ownership tends to be a case of "always was" so...)
