How I heal a breast injury, using hand expression

In this video I discuss how I got an injury to my breast while I was breastfeeding my daughter Reya. She was being playful one day and bit me. It was not intentional for her to cause me pain. I share this educational video from my experience as a breastfeeding mother, but also as a lactation professional. Just to inform you, it is not typical that your child will bite you during breastfeeding. It is rare. But, sometimes it happens as well as getting a cracked nipple. I am showing you the best course of action. Learn In this video, I show you how to manually express milk, so that you can apply it to the cut, bite, or cracked nipple.

Breastmilk is the most natural way for you to heal a breast injury like this.

Elaboration:

Anti-inflammatory and Bioactive Molecules:

Breast milk contains anti-inflammatory molecules and bioactive compounds that promote wound healing, especially injury and recovery.

Topical Application:

Breast milk can be applied topically to wounds, such as sore nipples (where it can heal faster than lanolin).

Breast milk can also be used for minor burns, superficial scrapes, and even to soothe sore throats.

Immune Benefits:

Breast milk provides antibodies and other immune factors that help fight infection and support overall health.

Also, in the video, I show you the herbal tincture called Dong Quai. It is a chinese medicinal herb, that I will take internally when I experience breast soreness or tenderness. I take 2000mg, one dropperful during the days I experience pain. I used it once a day for 3 days only. It truly helps. If you have any concerns or have severe pain please consult your physician.

Thank you and Happy Breastfeeding
