Day 13

Reya was breastfeeding very heavily for a few days, it took alot of my energy. But, it ended up making sense because she started to get a little sick, but never beyond a light cold. Breastmilk is Magic, even for toddlers. It continues to strengthen their growth and protect from viruses and pathogens. When a child breastfeeds their saliva backwashes into your milk ducts.

This saliva-milk interaction, particularly when the baby has an infection, communicates the presence of pathogens to ...

Day 12

Good afternoon, Reya is getting a little nourishing breastmilk between lunch and our next activity. Really, this is part of her lunch and also immune system boost and hydration. She is also showing signs of restlessness, the baby tiger cub body language cues. It really is time for a nap.

Day 11

Another long day, but did get a lot accomplished. Made Chile Rellenos, it took forever, and then Reya only wanted Bee Bees. I think children can be funny about peppers. But, honestly breast milk does come through when they get picky!

Keep going Mamas!

Keep going Mamas, Milk is Magic!✨️
Did you know that the World Health Organization recommends breastfeeding until age 2 and beyond? Did you know the longer you breastfeed, the less likely your child will develope diseases like diabetes and obesity later in life. Keep going, don't listen to the haters, don't care what others think. Worry about you and your baby. I got your back!

Day 9

I need to keep this going.....And that's why I'm here. Keep going! You're doing great! As tired as we as mothers get, as frustrated as we get,overwhelmed...to say the least. I do still live for these moments as a time to rest. Breastfeeding changes you. Having children changes you. The bond is so strong, it can feel harder to step away. That feeling should not be ignored.

Happy Birthday Reya!

Just want to share that little Reya just turned 3 years old recently! Such a huge milestone in breastfeeding context! I recently was at one of my daughters volleyball games, and Reya was in my lap, pressing her hands on my chest asking for bee bee's💜 A fellow mother was sitting next to me. We actually were having a conversation about motherhood and pregnancy. She is near having another baby and expressed interest in breastfeeding! She had before, but not for very long. She expressed that s...

Life is so demanding, never make it harder than it needs to be. Give yourself grace as a mother, and men give your wives, daughters, girlfriends etc grace as well. Support a woman doing this job in all the ways you can, positively!

Eat Local

Mothers themselves, in a sense, are part of the local food system, and breastfeeding is the original form of “farm-to-table.”

The body is part of the ecosystem, and the most local, sustainable, and grounding food source is human connection itself.

“Eat local.
Not just from the soil,
but from the body that made you.
The first food is the most natural,
the most sustainable,
the most deeply rooted in love.
Breasts are not taboo,
they are the original gard...

Day 8 // 30 days of breastfeeding

Welcome to 30 days of breastfeeding // this is day 8! It was a little pause before I got 8 uploaded. I was having too much stress, believe it or not, and had to momentarily rest. Life can throw you a curveball overnight.

My little garden is doing well and I have been cooking up a storm lately. Reya has been helping a lot in the kitchen.

I was gathering up some produce from the garden and Reya insisted on having a drink!

Love you all! Mesa xo

Day 7 // 30 days of breastfeeding

Welcome to day 7 of 30 days of breastfeeding. This is Normal, this is real life, this is breastfeeding, this is motherhood.

Maybe I should call this twiddling moon, instead of baby moon! 😭😅🤣

It is a fact Reya is a serial twiddler. This actually after having four kids, Reya is the fourth. A new experience for me. Her sisters were not twiddlers.

My child before Reya did a little, but not like her.

Today was busy as usual, alot of preperation to take a bun...

Day 6 // 30 days of breastfeeding

Thank for for joining me on Patreon, for day 6 of 30 days of breastfeeding.

When Reya wakes from naps, sometimes she cries, even as a toddler. She needs the emotional regulation and my comfort and breast helps her mental wellness and development.

While she was napping, I was able to work on my lactation studies. I have learned that WHO, which stands for the World Health Organization has a code, that all countries must follow. Not all of them do, including...

Day 5 // 30 days of breastfeeding

Hello, welcome to 30 days of breastfeeding its day 5. I am definitely in the feels, and that is for real too, because Reya never leaves my nipples alone! I am trying to train her to twiddle beads instead😅 I hope it works, even if it is just some of the time.

My older daughters are being brought up to understand the importance of helping your mother while she is breastfeeding. But, really they are at the age where it is expected to help out at home. It is a very important job and rea...

Day 3 / 30 days of breastfeeding

Welcome to 30 days of breastfeeding. I can't believe I even made it to day 3, with all I have been going through. I got the call this morning that my Aunt passed away. I wanted to just lay in bed and do nothing. But that is no good for anybody in the house to see me sad like that. So, I made a point to get out of the house and get some sun. The whole family enjoyed themselves. I definitely, really needed it. Vitamin D is best received from the suns rays you need it to fight depressive states,...

Day 2 / 30 days of breastfeeding

Welcome to 30 days of breastfeeding, this is day 2. Today was a tough day. Trying to process a loved one nearing passing away, and holding it together and taking care of young children is tough. As a mother there isnt much rest, but we take what we can get. Just like these moments. This is life.

Soaking up all the love

This is one of the best parts of motherhood. Cancelling my plans because baby asleep on me, and I'm not moving😊 Soaking it all up, because these days don't last forever. And it truly feels soo good, between the oxytocin released from breastfeeding and her little arms wrapped snugly around me, pure bliss. 💝💞💞💞

How I heal a breast injury, using hand expression

In this video I discuss how I got an injury to my breast while I was breastfeeding my daughter Reya. She was being playful one day and bit me. It was not intentional for her to cause me pain. I share this educational video from my experience as a breastfeeding mother, but also as a lactation professional. Just to inform you, it is not typical that your child will bite you during breastfeeding. It is rare. But, sometimes it happens as well as getting a cracked nipple. I am showing you the best...

What is your toddlers favorite food?

We know what the obvious choice is...boob!
But, ok, besides BOOB😅 what does your toddler love to eat? Reya, will never turn down a springroll, but neither will I, haha! The crispy, little, handheld scrumptiousness, she loves. And fruit! She loves fruit.
Tell me your toddlers go to's. Is there anything you make together as an activity? Reya loves helping to make blueberry muffins. I will say, she is not much of a meat eater. Sometimes a grilled hot dog, a chicken nugget or sausage. <...
