Here's a great cute 'em up by JALECO known as Plus Alpha! The gameplay is extremely unique, and it’s a rare and expensive PCB. Attributes like this typically put a game on our radar for development and preservation.
We purchased a copy from BEEP in the middle of 2023 and sent it to Darren, as I currently have P-47 The Freedom Fighter and a loaned JALECO Mega System 1 Multi.
There's currently a Plus Alpha for sale on eBay going for $1288.00 USD!

Here's a small blurb about the game... There's 7 kingdoms from tyranny, that Selia and Rumy set out to liberate in their fighter ships. The 7 kingdoms are Wind Country, Sea Colony, Flower Town, Snow Country, Sand City, Dark Sodom, and Eden.
There's three different power up types, each comes with there own unique bomb. Don't let my game play fool you, this shooter isn't easy!!! One of the coolest things about Plus Alpha to me is the audio samples played when you power up.
I've also included the Japanese only Jitsuryoku!! Pro Yakyuu baseball game shown on twitter recently with this release. It's fun and really takes advantage of the mosaic sprite features in Mega System 1 HW. There wasn't an English release of this, but consider it the Bases Loaded for an arcade!

OKI playback; correct samples (ROM board dependent) [Issue]
Screen flip implementation [Task]

We've got a few things left to do regarding the GFX, trackball support to implement, and a few bugs to run down in Takeda Shingen before moving onto Type Z/B/C/D hardware. Now that the MCU's have been dumped, we'll start working on Type B/C and dump MCU's from E.D.F. and 64th Street Detective. I purchased these PCBs solely to dump the MCUs...
Hope you enjoy and Happy New Year (again) from Coin-Op Collection!
