Digestive Diary Double-Bill!
Added 2022-02-04 09:51:52 +0000 UTCI’m sorry for the lack of an update yesterday - as I’d said the day before I was holding an art marathon to help raise funds for our move and literally drew for 14 hours straight with only a 2o minute food break so as I suspected I couldn;t get anything else done but that does mean you’ll get a double bill today!
so Wednesday was another day of having terrible gas. I woke up farting and really didn’t stop all day. My poor stomach felt so bloated, it had a kind of balloon-like quality to it and you could hear all the air inside of it when I tapped against it. I had a very upset stomach in the morning again and had a very noisy time on the toilet, passing what felt like ten gallons of gas alongside everything else and by the time I crawled back into bed my stomach was constantly rolling and churning.
I forced myself to eat some weetabix but that only made my poor stomach feel worse! I don;t think I’ve ever felt things digest so violently or so clearly before but in the last couple of weeks I swear I can feel every part of the process. Maybe one day I’ll try to describe it in as fine detail as I can.
I had a very noisy belly all through the morning after that and had to put up with the feeling of discomfort as what i‘d eaten churned noisily through my bowels, propelled by further gas, I til I ended up letting out some large and violent blasts from my rear!
it wasn;t until late in the afternoon that I felt like I could eat again and was suddenly STARVING! My stomach was rumbling so hard, it sounded like an echo chamber! The funny part was that Lucy’s tummy was also rumbling and hers sounded pretty much the same, like they made a lot of the same sounding noises like they were copying each other!
I decided to make a big round of toast from a thick-sliced loaf and absolutely scoffed it down, I was so hungry! 6 thick slices of buttery bread sat in my belly for what felt like hours after that, I felt all kind of swollen but - unlike earlier in the day - my stomach had slowed right down and didn’t want to process it! I don‘t think it was until I snuggled up to Luce for a nap later that evening that my tummy got to work on it and I awoke to gurgles and a feeling of pressure low down in my gut. Needless to say a huge fart came out and I was left red faced while Lucy taunted me :X
i had a really gurgly tummy all night again. I don;t know how luce puts up with me and my digestive woes! Yesterday was an insane day because I literally sat from 10am until midnight drawing with only a 20 minute food break. My hands are incredibly sore today so please excuse typos!
I ate weetabix for breakfast before I started and could feel my tummy going at it like crazy for a good couple of hours after which a raging hunger set in but I had to keep going and I dodn;t have time to stop for food. I tried to ignore it for hours but my stomach’s ‘protests were getting louder and louder, more violent and harder to push through. I hate being hungry, that’s why hunger growls don’t usually do it for me, so eventually at about 5 I had to stop for a break but couldn’t take long so I quickly stuffed my starving gut with as much cheese and bread as I could in twenty minutes and then went back to the art.
well I guess I ate too fast because I have myself an absolutely horrible stomach ache! I don’t usually get a tummy ache from eating too much or too fast but I had terrible indigestion and a groaning, squeezing pain in my stomach as it tried to deal with everything I’d gulped down. It was really distracting, trying to get on with my art while my belly hurt so badly, I was desperate to ask Lucy for a rub but I didn’t have the time!
eventually after having a couple of violent single hiccups which were really embarrassing something dislodged and I began to belch a lot. I drank a can of Coke, helping that would help me to burp up some of the discomfort. It seemed to helps disperse the bread inside me too and eventually my stomach stopped aching thank god! However, it made very loud digestion noises for a good couple of hours afterwards, reminding me that I may have overdone things a bit 😅
