Digestive Diary
Added 2022-01-28 10:15:48 +0000 UTCStill sick, it takes such a long time to get over one of these bouts of recurrent meningitis, it drives me crazy. For the first time I started feeling a little better though so hopefully i’ll start improving soon. I woke up still full of air, i’ve literally been inflated all week long and my poor belly has been extremely bloated all day, every day! I feel like a balloon and I think I look like one too.
so I woke up to a gurgling stomach and another long encounter with the toilet. My gas was kind of uncontrollable as I got out of bed, it was slipping out with every movement again and by the time I sat on the toilet I was desperate to empty it out of me. I braced myself and pushed, and a lot of gas came out in a long, violent blast!
my tummy was too upset for breakfast and I didn’t eat until fairly late so I had a lot of hunger growls throughout the day. Every half hour or so much stomach would pipe up with five minutes of constant rumbling that made me feel not only uncomfortable physically but as embarrassed as I could possibly be. Luce kept telling me to eat something but I was feeling too sick tk manage for a long time, until the early evening when I finally felt better enough to cook some soup.
i heated up 2 tins again but this time I managed more bread than I have done all week which made me happy and god, it was lovely bread! But then I started to feel extremely bloated and heavy as all that soup sat in my gut again. I think soup might be quite good for stretching my capacity. After the move it’s something I might pursue a little more and try to push my limits. I’ve eaten 3 tins in one go a few times but I wonder if I can manage 4 or even 5? That’s something to work up to though.
despite being over full and burping every few minutes I was desperately craving chocolate and ended up eating 3 double bars of Cadbury’s twirl plus some milk, and al awful lot of coke which I’d also been drinking with the soup. I ended up in a huge, heavy, bloated mess and had to beg Lucy for a tummy rub! I felt all that liquid shifting and sloshing in front of me as I laid down in front of her and her hands got to work on my bloated middle, rubbing my domed-out gut lovingly for the best part of half an hour. That was absolute heaven 💙
by the time I went to bed I had a bad case of the gurgles again, for some reason I end up with a really noisy, gassy tummy every time I lay down at the moment. this could really get humiliating 😅
