Training Day Reaction

Training Day Reaction

Comments

I finally managed to catch up with this reaction. I love that you ladies have such a good moral compass. Great movie with two great leading actors. Danzel Washington is an actor in his own class. In this movie he makes you love to hate him.😅 You should really watch more of his movies. Two suggestions for both actors. For Danzel Washington, The Brook of Eli (2010). It's a great post-apocalypse movie with a great twist at the end. For Ethan Hawk, Sinister (2012). In my opinion this is one of the best horror movies of the 2010s. I would really appreciate it if you would react to the movie. We haven't had a horror movie reaction for such a long time and it's still a long time until October. Please give us horror fans a horror snack in between. That was an awesome reaction, ladies, as always!💜

Digitalversager

Great movie Denzel Washington is an awesome actor! He killed it in this one! In case you guys were wondering what the term Vato meant it doesn't mean cop in Spanish. Vato is a Spanish slang term for a guy. It's just like calling someone dude or man.

Troy Runyan

This is a representation of the real world again; the world isn't black and white. (pun intended) Sometimes the "bad" guys win and the "good" guys lose or just get lucky enough to go home. As far as this being the first Denzel movie (won an Oscar for it), we need to keep that going, but first, finish the Scorsese and DiCaprio films.

RichieBIV

Crimson TIde, Deja Vu, and Flight are my favs from him... but really, the man never features in a film that isn't worth seeing at least once.

"Man on Fire" 🔥 "Philadelphia"

Cornelius P. Stranglefart, Attorney at Law D.D.S.

Crimson Tide (1995) action Fallen (1998) thriller Man on Fire (2004) action The Inside Man (2006) thriller? American Gangster (2007) crime Unstoppable (2010) action Flight (2012) ? Denzel Washington is a more consistent actor than most.

Manospondylus

More Denzel Washington please! :) I recommend the movie "Man On Fire". Denzel plays the good guy in that one - you guys will love it.

David Collins

Hi Chi and Hella. Denzel is one of our finest actors. You really should see him in "Malcolm X" As far as Ethan Hawke, I think the two of you would most enjoy either Ang Lee's adaptation of "Great Expectations" or Richard Linklater's "Before Sunrise".

Jeremy Sparks

Hella probably should’ve watched this with Katie. Chi sense of morality too strong to see the amusement in this iconic pop culture performance 😅

Nova

Denzel's character is just a gangster with a badge.

Eric Muirhead

Yes somebody said Book Of Eli, that's a good movie with Denzel as the good guy in the future and Deja Vu is another good movie with Denzel.

Piranther

That was a famous line back when this movie came out, "King Kong ain't got shit on me!!", meaning that he's tougher than King Kong.

Piranther

Triggered Chi doesn't enjoy these movies.

KD

🔥 Man on Fire 🔥 🙏

Blackwargreymon00

Tony Scott's "Man On Fire" !!!! from 2004

Tony P.

Man on Fire is amazing.

Chase

An Ethan Hawke movie you should see- 'Gattaca' (1997). A Denzel Washington movie you should see- 'Man on Fire' (2004)

S M

So excited to start the Denzel and Ethan Hawke journeys! Both are great actors who kill it in every role!

Nathanial House

Denzel usually nails every performance, but there was something special with him being the villain here.

Nathanial House

Nice reaction,Denzel Washington is so good! Maybe The Equalizer trilogy with him you girls will like...i think you will.

Holophonic

This is an excellent movie choice and reaction. I'm delighted that you recognized Snoop Dogg. His producer, Dr. Dre was also in this movie. He played Paul in the scene where they raided Roger's house. The song at the beginning in the car, was "Still D.R.E" by Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg (from "The Chronic (2001)", a fantastic album). In many ways they defined the LA rap scene, so it's good to see them in this movie. Denzel Washington is an incredible actor. He was also in the movie "American Gangster". It's an interesting crime movie that is supposedly based on a true story, but the plot might be controversial.

Grumpy Monk

Great reaction ChiMunchie, HellaMunchie. My recommendation is the movie"SAVE" 2012, with Jason Statham and Catherine Chan. Thanks, I hope you can find it.

Ervin Cortez

Ladies, two other great crime movies, Heat and End of Watch. I think you will like both for different reasons.

TippedDuke

To clarify, Hoyt was given marijuana laced with PCP. Which is a much stronger drug that causes hallucinations. I love the scenery of LA neighborhoods in this movie (aside from the depictions of crime, of course).

Grumpy Monk

Pcp is very very different to weed thats for sure

Stefan Williams

First, the munchies were rocking in their outfits today!! I love Denzel and I think this is one of his best roles, despite being the bad guy. It was such a dichotomy to see him play the bad guy from his other movies where he is mostly the good guy. Hella screaming "you got to jail!' LOL. I love the outbursts like that. Then Chi bringing it with "He earned that." and you are right, he did. Thank you Munchies for being the best!

Jeffrey Roberts

That was a good upload and I'm impressed Hella, your not cussing anymore. Women shouldn't cuss, its not lady like. Another good flick is Street Kings with Keanu Reeves. Check that one out.

Saints_Madness

Chi really hated Denzel's character in this movie from the very beginning. I hope this doesn't put Denzel in a bad light for her to see him in other movies. She doesn't realize Denzel usually plays the good guy. 😅

Prof. Writhms

"King Kong ain't got nothing on The Munchies!"

Prof. Writhms

This is one of the funniest non-comedy reactions Chi and Hella have put out, from "Chi justice" to Movie Munchie being witnesses and all of the back-chat to all of Alonzo's BS. Chi and Hella have seen a lot and widened their horizons watching all these movies but it'll always be refreshing seeing them talk about right and wrong and wishing for a good ending.

Patrick

some Denzel movies 🍿 yall would like is Man on fire. Book of Eli. Remember the Titans.

Nova

I need more movie munchies dancing to hip hop hahaha

Juice

Another Denzel Washington movie he good in is a civil war picture called glory it's about the American civil war between North and south

Danny Garlin

Is this really the first Denzel movie for the channel? I think you might have started with Denzel Washington's best film. He's a great actor. I would also suggest FALLEN 1998, and MAN ON FIRE 2004. Ethan Hawke played Hoyt. Ethan Hawke was married to Uma Thurman, The Bride in Kill Bill. He's also in a really great horror movie called SINISTER and in a fantastic science-fiction film called GATTACA. Hawke actually turned down the lead role in Independence Day because he thought the script sucked, so the part ended up going to Will Smith. Around 19:00, When Hoyt was feeling the effects of the PCP, Chi said he was experiencing a DELUSION. A delusion is when someone holds a false belief that is counter to reality. The word you want to use in this case is HALLUCINATION. Some drugs are even referred to as hallucinogenic, which means your perception of the world is about to be altered. Speaking of drugs, marijuana was legalized in California in 2016, so you no longer buy it on the street or in bad neighborhoods. The places you buy marijuana now look like Starbucks, but just offer weed. I have been living in Los Angeles since 2017 and while the city does have its problems, corruption, police brutality, and unhoused people, I really love living in Los Angeles. The traffic is bad, but I mostly avoid that by taking the Metro and walking. The drug dealer Alonzo shot lived in Echo Park, which is the neighborhood next to mine. I live in Highland Park, and I walk around and feel very safe. In fact, I often see Elijah Wood, Frodo from Lord of the Rings, walking around with his family. Black people and Mexican people are depicted in this film as criminals, and that's okay because this film is about crime, but that's never been my experience of either group.

Steven Roy

King Kong (2005). Directed by Peter Jackson. Director of Lord of the Rings!!! Co-star Jack Black from School of Rock!!!!!! 😜 watch it, Munchies!!!!!

Daryl
