A Few Good Men Reaction

A Few Good Men Reaction

Comments

It hadn't dawned on me during my 1st watch-thru that this is one of the first Chi/Katie team-ups, as they're just getting accustomed to the different ways they each react and what they perceive. And then, at 23:01... Katie gets a tiny glimpse of Evil Chi.

S_Vive

Huh...watching it again I just realized Chi somehow got the movie title mixed up; that's odd/unusual for them.

S_Vive

I'll just always remember Gitmo mainly from this film and a mostly awful few days spent at & around it for REFTRA (gas masks, OBA's, CBR suits in summer heat on flight deck, JP5 slicks surrounding and reeking... a nasty time in early 90's).

S_Vive

Oh crap, somehow I forgot this one for my lists... wow, not sure how. Yeah, definitely a great film as I remember it.

S_Vive

As much as I enjoy the ladies reactions, you should definitely give this one another watch on your own sometime (separate from this channel).

S_Vive

Yep... Far and Away as well as Ghost are likely on their radar, as one or more of us have previously recommended them.

S_Vive

James, you're not necessarily wrong about them possibly missing details given in dialogue while the ladies are remarking to each other about previous dialogue; I have occasionally been frustrated (on their behalf) for when they missed or misunderstood parts when such occurred... but that is part of the "package deal" of their reacting experience when it happens. AND... that is why they've made it plain to us viewing with them to definitely fill in those gaps in their perception/understanding of the films (though such exposition/explanation unfortunately happens after the fact). But, no, most of us who've been with them from early on have also likely wished to be watching along with them in real-time for just such instances as you point out. But for all that, they still —between the two/three of them— usually "get/catch" much more than they miss... and even their reactions at later realizing having missed something are part of the magic.

S_Vive

Love this. Other great military drama movies would be Crimson Tide or Hunt for the Red October.

Adelore Spokes

I'd go back to his first movie, Risky Business. Good movie and a lot of fun. It launched his career. Start there and then see where it took him.

Brian Tetrick

One of the best courtroom movies of all time! Top tier writing and performances!

Nathanial House

Since people are suggesting court room movies I think Philadelphia and Primal Fear are two good ones.

colin summers

You should watch black hawk down

Chris W

Great video I really enjoyed your reaction. Another good courtroom movie is A Time to kill. It's kind of sad but is really good

WellRoundedLeo

dude shut the fuck up. they got what was going on just fine.

NationOf

This type of movie is relatively complex and depends heavily on dialog. I love watching your reactions, but you will continue to have a hard time understanding the story line unless you cut down quite a bit on the excess chatter and pay attention to what's going on and what's being said. Most of what you don't understand has been previously explained or talked about in the movie, but you guys talk over many of the important parts and then wonder why you don't understand what is happening. It makes the viewing experience less enjoyable for yourself and for your subscribers. Just a thought.

James Swainston

Top tier movie!

Bangors Mostbaked

The Witches of Eastwick (1987) along with As Good as it Gets (1997) are both very funny Jack Nicholson movies.

Manospondylus

As Good as it Gets is so good.

Manospondylus

They showed the White House in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, but none of you noticed. It was pretty accurate, probably not the real thing though.

SpunToTheLeft

I think you would enjoy the Tom Cruise movie 'Far and Away' (1992). Also, you liked Demi Moore in this movie so maybe try 'Ghost' (1990). My recommendation for another Jack Nicholson movie is 'As Good as It Gets' (1997)

S M

Awesome reaction to a great movie ladies!💜 If you want to see more of Tom Cruise here are a few recommendations. - Born on the Fourth of July is a moving drama that also deals with the Vietnam War. - Days of Thunder is a cool motorsport movie. - Rain Man is a wonderful drama about two brothers. - Collateral is an exciting gangster movie. - Oblivion is a very good sci-fi movie. And of course I always recommend the Mission Impossible series.😉

Digitalversager

Also, this was my first time watching this. I LOVED it.. it was on my radar, just never got to watching it. But glad to have followed along with you girls! 😊

Daryl

Another good court film is Denial (2016). Chi would enjoy it!!

Daryl

Another great courtroom drama you guys would enjoy is "A Time To Kill." While it doesn't have Tom Cruise for you to swoon over for two hours, I am sure you will find Mathew McConaughey to be more than adequately swoonable. :D

David Collins

More Tom Cruise movies

Oscar Landrum

Here's some military info ya'll may find interesting. Each service (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines) members are called something specific: soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines. Marines really don't like being called soldiers in my experience haha. Military members are required to disobey unlawful orders (and should report it). It does not matter who orders you to do something if the order is illegal and you do it; saying "I was ordered to" is not a defense. A 'Code Red' can be considered hazing. At the time of the movie hazing would often be overlooked or played-down. But in recent years the military has become very anti-hazing/bullying and will punish those who do it.

Josh

Oh and why would it have to be mutual? Is Cuba America?

Imperial Mort

So if America had made a deal with South Vietnam to have a base in Vietnam that would be the situation today

Imperial Mort

If you like military courtroom drama "Rules of Engagement" is a good watch

Ryan Alexander

That doesn't matter. It would have to be mutual.

Manospondylus

Does the current Cuban government want the base there?

Imperial Mort

Not illegal. The US has a lease and pays yearly rent (but the Cuban government in 1903 forgot to include a expiration date in the agreement. Oops.)

Alec Dacyczyn

Minority Report and War of the Worlds(2005) are Stephen Speilberg and Tom Cruise team up.

Steven Roy

Ironic this movie is about the law when the illegal base in Cuba exists just so American law can be avoided when they wish to do so.

Imperial Mort

I really like this film. When this movie came out, "You can't handle the truth" was quoted a lot, maybe too much. The film based on a play written by Aaron Sorkin. Sorkin has become a very famous writer of TV and movies. He's known for his heightened dialogue. His characters make long statements, talk very fast, and are very articulate. No one talks this way in real life, but it sure is entertaining to watch. I like his film "Social Network". I don't need to tell you about Tom Cruise because I'm sure Katie is doing all her own research, but the actor who plays Galloway is Demi Moore. As you can see, she's quite attractive herself. Before she was a famous actress, she made money as a model and at least in one instance they used Demi Moore's body to replace the actual actress in the film on the movie's poster. But, it wasn't long before Demi Moore was the actual star of the film and not just the body on the poster. She starred in huge movies like GHOST, INDECENT PROPOSAL, and lots of others. She even starred in a great film in 2024 called THE SUBSTANCE which is a feminist horror movie, and it was one of my favorite movies of the year. I'm not really that well versed in legal-dramas, but I will suggest the comedy version of this movie: LEGALLY BLONDE.

Steven Roy

More of Tom's movies: Jerry Maguire; Mission Impossible; Minority Report, Knight & Day.

K

Though not part of a series, this seems a major movie for Hella not to be included in... for me, at least. But perhaps that is because it is one of my TOP favorite films, which I tend to watch every 4-6 months (as I do with Gran Torino, Big Trouble In Little China, Pale Rider, The Abyss, Thunderheart, and Spotlight... with those last five hopefully being films Hella definitely also gets to see). Ah well; at the end of the day, they're just movies... and Hella is likely off living real life.

S_Vive

If you like young Tom Cruise, Risky Business, Legend and Top Gun were some of his first movies

JeffBonasse

One of my favorites of Tom, so thankful you reacted to this. Just hope Hella reacts to it with Asian Angels too. Another great Tom Cruise lawyer movie is The Firm (and he's young there too ;)).

Milvo

wow ... thats gonna be good

JessDMorgan

Prolific at the moment - I’m still catching up with the Die Hard sequels! 👏🏻👏🏻

Duncan

Rules of Engagement (2000) is pretty a pretty good military trial movie.

Manospondylus

You ladies are dropping some great, but unexpected reactions on us. Thank you and keep it up!
