Back to the Future Reaction

Back to the Future Reaction

This is a really fun movie. McFly telling Lorraine that he is gay would definitely not have gone well in the 1950s :)

Chrono Gamer

Fun fact: When this movie came out in 1985 and Marty McFly was being super cool on his skateboard and everything... skateboards were ILLEGAL in my country of Norway. Yes, really. They were illegal from 1978 until 1989 or something like that, and as far as I know we were the only country in the world to ever have such a ban. But there were a lot of kids that wanted to use them, including one I read about that had watched this exact movie in the movie theater and ended up getting one smuggled in from Denmark. Weird times.

phoenix241

LOVEDDD the hype for you girls at the end, wanting to watch the sequel. Hahah

Daryl

Gonna watch Back to the Future 2 tomorrow. But i CANNOT WAIT for Back to the Future 3. That's my favourite!!!

Daryl

Awesome movie, 2 isn't as good but 3 is epic.

Phoenix911

I thought part II was the weakest imo. I loved adding the old west into the movies. After so many years waiting for part 2, it was just a big letdown for me back in junior high when it came out.

Curtis House

I hope to see your reactions to Back to the Future 2 & 3 soon. I was a little less than a month old in November 1955, lived through 1985, and was still around in 2015. So the movie basically covers my lifetime except for...woops, spoilers! If you still want comedy suggestions: A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM, WHAT'S UP DOC, THE EMPEROR'S NEW GROOVE (animated)

Tinker Greg

Is anyone here going to suggest the Munchies watch ‘Stan & Ollie’….? ❤️👏🏻👏🏻

Duncan

not really worth watching this one if you already seen it, So I'll go to that video. might I suggest one you haven't seen, since you were into war movies, Enemy at the gates.

Saints_Madness

Don’t listen to Paul. Part three is just as good as the first one and better than the second one.

Ned

Great reaction. I started going to they gym a year ago. Much better now.

Vogon Poet

Love this!! Please do the 2nd and 3rd back to the future movies!!!!!

Adelore Spokes

I'd love to see more Spielberg movies on here. Especially 'E.T.' and 'The Lost World'

Capo

nah i half agree with you, the third is teh weakest but still worth watching to complete the trillogy

King Bob

I'm glad you decided to revisit this movie together. There are many references to this movie in American pop culture. You might consider watching The Mummy Returns, if you want to revisit another movie franchise.

Grumpy Monk

Maybe I'm just being a hater. My bad.

Paul De'Armond

The 3rd one was my favourite one for a long time, now I still think the 2nd one is the best but the 3rd is still good

Daniel Sheargold

That’s a bit harsh, by today’s standards the 3rd movie is academy award winner.

Angrytoybox

Glad to see you returning to this franchise, both sequels are great, I really love part III in particular, I wonder if Tien is not going to be part of Movie Munchies moving forward since Katie seems to have taken her place and Asian Angels has become more of a movie reaction channel as well, it would be nice if you invited her back from time to time since some of my favorite reactions are when Hela and Tien would watch comedies, you still have to finish the Austin Powers trilogy

Jonathan Kidman

It's heartwarming to see Chi watching this movie again with the Munchies with that "Cat that Ate the Canary" smile :D Looking forward to the sequels with the Team

Proto Type

One of, if not the best films of all time! The cast is stellar, the story is tight, and pretty much every bit of it holds up today. Of course, it also has one of greatest soundtracks out there. The songs are amazing and Alan Silvestri's score is absolutely incredible. I didn't even want to see this film when it first came out, for some bizarre reason. I wanted to see a different movie, (Goonies, I think) for the second time. I was dragged reluctantly but I was absolutely hooked from the beginning. This move consumed my brain just as much as seeing the first Star Wars did. Thanks very much for revisiting this one! I'm always excited to see people watch it for the first time.

Thessair

Great to see you finish series you have already started, only 2 more batman movies to go Batman Forever and Batman and Robin, Batman and Robin is not great but would really like to see you react to a bad movie just to see what happens.

Imperial Mort

Friendly reminder: Only the first two movies of these are any good. Back to the Future III is terrible.

Paul De'Armond

One of the best movie trilogies ever made. So happy Chi is continuing the Back to the Future movies. All 3 are amazing.

Looney

Definitely, I can see why they might be hesitant to "reupload" certain movies but there are so many that deserve a second set of eyes and/or a rewatcher of the munchies team.

Patrick

Happy to see other rewatches with other members of the munchies team 👍

Jalapeno Boy

The trilogy for this franchise is just perfect. Usually after the first movie the sequels tend to get underwhelming but I remember watching the whole trilogy back to back as a kid and it was honestly one of my favorite family activities I did with my cousin. Can’t wait for y’all to see the rest! Happy Holidays!

Angelos Saniotis

Always a fun watch, but yo, even if Chi saw it before don't cut her audio out lol; that's just weird

Thalanoth

So glad you’ll finally watch the other two movies!!

mundanelotus

yeah, that Borat loved Huey Lewis and the News so much that he named his son that is hilarious.

Steven Roy

A Christmas bonus from The Munchies 👍🏻 ❤️

Duncan

Still more trivia rolling in from you. Yes - was noted that Borat said his son was called Huey Lewis, which is very funny 😂

Duncan

That was a great Christmas surprise.🎁 Back to the Future is definitely one of the best movies of all time. I'm glad that you're now reacting to the two sequels too. I'm excited to see what you think of how people in 1989 imagined the year 2015.😅 Awesome reaction, ladies, as always.💜 Merry Christmas.🎄

Digitalversager

But I just realized, this time no Tien unfortunately.

S_Vive

A little confusion at the start but this movie was directed by Robert Zemeckis, not Steven Spielberg. You've seen a few Zemeckis movies (Forrest Gump, Cast Away, Who Framed Roger Rabbit). Another Zemeckis movie I think you'd enjoy is 'Contact' (1997) The actor who played Marty (Michael J. Fox) also starred in a Vietnam war movie 'Casualties of War' (1989) which was directed by Brian De Palma (Carrie)

S M

I was going to comment the other day on the film's posting from January that, as almost a year had passed since initially watching it, the ladies would benefit from rewatching Part 1 and using the opportunity to include Hella this time... and seemingly... MY MIND WAS READ. Great decision, Munchies.

S_Vive

I can honestly say I think that the back to the future trilogy is the perfect movie trilogy

Daniel Sheargold

Finally !! Im happy :))) thats a great christmas surprise

JessDMorgan

The car that is used as a time machine is called a Delorean. I think less than 10,000 were made. The car looks cool, but was known for being slow for a sports car and had many issues like overheating and the doors not working. When the car always won't start in this film, I always laugh because that's a realistic part of this movie. That car was all show and no go. A lot of the music in this movie is from Huey Lewis and the News. Huey Lewis is actually the judge that rejects Marty in the first part of the movie, even though Marty's band is playing one of his songs. I don't know if you remember but it's mentioned briefly in Borat that Borat's son is named Huey Lewis. I still think the Munchies should watch the second Borat movie and finally meet Borat's daughter. At the end of the movie Marty plays the song Johnny B. Goode by Chuck Berry. Chuck Berry is a black musician who is known as the father of Rock and Roll. In this film, a white guy inspires some black musicians, but in reality a black guy inspired all the white musicians.

Steven Roy

Yet another one of my favorite movies! I really think that the kiss moment during the school dance is one of the greatest moments in cinema history. The tension, the high stakes, the kiss, the emotional release, the music, the character arcs, oh my... just incredible. Could watch this movie 100 times and never get bored. Hope you ladies enjoyed this masterpiece!

Brandon

I feel you there! haha

Brandon

Fantastic!!! An early Christmas gift to be able to watch these lovely ladies watch such a classic film!

Andy

I’ve watched this movie too many times to count lol

Chase

I’m glad Hella gets to see this movie finally. Hopefully this means that you will continue with the rest of the trilogy now.
