You guys should watch The Hunger Games lol

Anything with Pacino shouting a lot is generally a good pick 😂 And talking of De Palma…. has to be The Untouchables!

Duncan

Well, those are very specific examples. The sound in space is more of an effect to support the movie. So that the viewer has a sound effect for what is happening. It has nothing to do with the world. Otherwise, you could criticize the fact that in Lord of the Rings you can hear epic music in the background without an orchestra being nearby. The second example is probably about Antman. I would say it's not so bad because it fits into the rules of the movie universe. Antman can shrink extremely and we don't even know how the quantum level works, maybe there is oxygen there. I just think that if a movie takes shortcuts like in Superman 2 out of convenience, then it puts me off the movie. And Superman 2 takes a lot of shortcuts, that's probably because the producers didn't take a comic book adaptation so seriously. The Top Gear people probably drove to the North Pole with the best equipment and clothing and didn't walk there like Clark in normal clothes without any food. I understand your point and I agree with you. Let me try a different example to get away from Superman 2. In Star Trek, for example, you have to accept that there is a machine that can beam people from one place to another. The world has rules that beaming is only possible under certain conditions and over a limited distance. That's perfectly fine with me. In modern Star Trek, there is a scene where someone beams from Earth to a planet in Klingon territory, over a distance of many light years. And I have a problem with that, because it breaks the established rules of the Star Trek universe and, ironically, makes spaceships unnecessary (and they are a very important part of Star Trek😉) if you can beam over such great distances without any problem.

Maybe since they've seen Carrie they could do some more De Palma films (Blow Out, my favorite). Or Scarface (not a huge fan but a great film to react to) And speaking of classic gangster films starring Al Pacino I think reacting to the Godfather 1 and 2 would be well worth it. Definitely slower than the typical Hollywood film (one thing that makes them great actually) and two films that everyone should see at least once in their lives.

Don't forget Supergirl

Imperial Mort

Richard Pryor turns up in Superman 3, so that’s a gold stamp of endorsement for any movie 🙂

Duncan

Absolute classic! I’m still wondering whether ‘the Munchies’ are going to do a react to Face/Off…… 🤔🙏🏻 ….. because we really need a Nic Cage season 😂

Duncan

both movies have at least 1 iconic moment .... part 3 the backlot brawl and part 4 the UN and ending speech of Superman that are better than any now a days superhero movies

JessDMorgan

i think part 3 and 4 are still to go. both are not as good and part 3 more comedy but Chris Reeve in all movies is amazing and both movies have at least 1 amazing or iconic scene in it

JessDMorgan

That was great! I'm hoping yall react to "The Batman" (2022)

Cornelius P. Stranglefart, Attorney at Law D.D.S.

This kind of stuff is in all movies though even present-day ones. for example tell me how it makes sense that they apply sound effects of an explosion when a spaceship or even a planet blows up? there's no sound in space remember Or when they shrink really really small, how does that make sense when they are smaller than the oxygen molecules that they're supposed to be breathing? How are they not suffocating? you just have to kind of let this stuff go......... But in fairness to the North Pole thing you can drive to the North Pole in car Jeremy Clarkson did it with Top Gear

King Bob

Booooo Superhero films are fun :o)

King Bob

Superman 4 is pretty terrible. Superman 3 is very silly It's essentially a comedy movie, however it does have its good parts, I don't want to spoil it in case they watch it, but there is a certain fight scene in a junkyard that is very cool. Anyone who has seen it will know what I'm talking about

King Bob

Hella was very giggly this reaction, very fun reaction, glad you watched the original version as opposed to the Richard Donner cut, The Donner Cut is technically better but it is unfinished and has the same ending as the first superman where he flies around the world and turns back time, so it would have been a bit confusing as a first time watch as that ending was supposed to be the end for Superman II but they reworked it as the ending for Superman 1. You should probably finish some of the franchises you have already started before you move on to some new ones, such as; John Wick chapters 2, 3 and 4, whilst the first John Wick is a simple revenge story, the sequels open up the world and have some incredible action, your first John Wick reaction got over 100k views on youtube so it would make sense to follow up on this. Back to the Future Parts II and III: I'm sure people have been telling you to do this since the video came out but the sequels are a lot of fun. Scream 3, 4, 5 (Scream 5 is confusingly just called Scream (2022)) and 6, The Scream series is one of my favorite franchises, would love to see you continue since Asian Angels already did Scream 2 Austin Powers in Goldmember: Would be a shame to not finish the Austin Powers trilogy, the third one is really well liked as well. The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions: much like the star wars prequels these sequels were disliked at the time but over time I think people grew to love them, I know I did, some great action filmmaking in these sequels. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice: This sequel is now available to download/stream so would make sense to do a reaction, it's a really fun movie! The Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear and The Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult: The Naked Gun sequels are just as hilarious as the original. Thank you for the many uploads, it is appreciated!

Jonathan Kidman

hello ladies, can I recommend you watch the movie C.H.A.P.P.I.E, I think ya'll would love this Huge Jackman movie. 😏

Mark W

Rocky! Rocky! Rocky!

Steven Roy

How about finishing the movie frachises you have already started?

Imperial Mort

Rocky franchise is a good watch. Well, at least 1 to 4.

Milvo

MMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmooooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Imperial Mort

Hopefully no more superhero movies after this. Please don't do Marvel.

Alex Anderson

You should have watched Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut, during the production of Superman II, Donner was replaced by director Richard Lester after completing about 75% of the film due to creative and financial disagreements with the producers. In 2006, Donner’s footage and original vision were reconstructed and released as Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut. This version restored many scenes that had been cut or reshot by Lester and aimed to reflect Donner's intended storyline, giving fans a chance to see his version of the film. The Richard Donner Cut of Superman II has been praised for its darker, more serious tone compared to the theatrical release. In Superman II, approximately 30–40% of Richard Donner's original footage was cut or altered by Richard Lester after Donner was replaced. Lester reshot many scenes to achieve a lighter tone and meet the requirements of the Screen Directors Guild of America, which required him to shoot at least 51% of the film to be credited as the director.

When what is indestructible meets what is irresistible, the female all too often wins

Imperial Mort

This was a fun reaction. Super 3 and 4 aren't really that good. They're kinda goofy.

Looney

you whippersnapper! 😣

Mark W

I love that they watched the original Superman II Movie not the "Donner Cut".

JessDMorgan

This movie convinced me I can walk to the North Pole in everyday clothes and shoes.

Steven Roy

I guess we have to watch some stuff for the older people too. 😄

Paul De'Armond

Definitely the best of the Christopher Reeves Superman movies. I haven't seen the movie for ages and from today's perspective I think the comedy content is a bit too high. You also have to accept a lot of the silly things in the movie, for example that it's completely normal for people in normal winter clothing to travel to the North Pole. The movie basically presents it that Clark in his human form ist just walking to the North Pole. I know it was the 80s and it's a comic book adaptation, but it still bothers me a bit. Anyway, the movie is and remains a classic and Reeves as Superman is always good, but if I fancy a bit of Superman action again I'll stick to Man of Steel. The reaction from you ladies was once again a real joy, just pure entertainment.💜 Yes, there is a third part Hella, but don't get too excited, the third part is widely regarded as the worst part of the Reeves Superman movies. I used to like the fourth part, but I also haven't seen the movie in ages, so I don't know if my memory is deceiving me.😅

Digitalversager

Superman 3 and 4 aren't very good.

Gregory A Mann

Incredible, you are a Reactor Machine, I mean, you keep on posting movies every day almost, that is fantastic, great job Munchies, you keep me entertained! Superman II blew my mind when I saw it long time ago in a Galaxy Far Away, lol...... my suggestion is "Grestoke, The Legend Of Tarzan" 1984 with Christopher Lambert and "The Miserables" 1998 with Lian Neeson. Thanks.

Ervin Cortez

Hela said ~ he can kill a robot by breaking the neck ?!?! :D Next, I was wondering how they can talk in space without air hahaha

Proto Type

Ooooh been hoping you would do this one. Loved this movie growing up.

Looney

Man I had a big ol crush on that Kryptonian woman when I was a kid. Lol

Manospondylus

This is much more like the reboot you've watched, and thankfully not 3 hours long like that 1978 super-long version you two had to sit through. This was much more action packed than the first one, and my personal favorite from the Christopher Reeves series of movies.
