Bram Stoker's Dracula Reaction

Bram Stoker's Dracula Reaction

Comments

6th watch along. Now that's a love story. Gary Oldman is a good actor and really brings all characters he plays to life. There's no sequel to a already masterpiece. Its not really a horror flick but just a story of romance. And as a man, I don't enjoy the sexual scenes. It's to cliché to all horror movies that show some skin. My personal favorite vampire movies are, Daybreakers, Let the right one in(2008), Night Flier, Fright Night(1985), Interview with the Vampire, Dusk till dawn, and Dracula Untold. Word of advice, Watch the originals first, Hollywood has a streak of ruining some of these movies by remaking them. Hollywood has gotten so lazy they decide to remake what was already good.

Saints_Madness

"Californian liberal values"? I didn't agree with Chi's comment either. I'm from rural Oklahoma, my area is as conservative as it comes, but it doesn't mean we tell others how to live. Chi's comment isn't anything I'm going to cry about, living where I do I am used to accepting different opinions. But you lumping every Liberal viewpoint in as "Californian" is "quite xenophobic" of you.

Matt Jamison

"Morality"? You have no idea what that word means beyond what you were told by your parents and church leaders. Morality has nothing to do with homosexuality or homophobia.

Matt Jamison

You can have your "opinions" but bottom line is your opinion doesn't make you any different from the segragationists' of the 60s or the slave owners of the 1850s and before.

Alex Anderson

You Munchies should watch Sin City. Very interesting movie. It’s done like an anime and real people at the same time. Interesting story too.

Jim Crawford

I suspect the consensus view around here will be that the period-punctuation in your sentence should have followed the word "membership".

S_Vive

Not all people have discarded morality. Sadly, it seems like you have, at least in this area.

Justin Knight

I doubt it, that was savage, and witty. You sir, should be a late night host.

Andy Worthington

Good comeback.

Andy Worthington

Triggered?

Andy Worthington

Next, we just have to hope they actually travel outside of their own little town/city/state bubble. Perhaps then they would see that there's lots of different cultures with lots of different opinions in the world. Since when did 'Merica' have the moral high-ground? You'd be better putting your efforts into fixing your own broken and corrupt country before trying to impose your own worldview on some Vietnamese girls watching a movie. Geez.

Andy Worthington

I hope the girls don't listen to the thought police here. If you can't handle someone who has a different opinion to yourself then no-one is forcing you to stay here. Wait, I forgot. People these days have to virtue signal and cause drama to get some attention. Perhaps America would be better off with an authoritarian leader who locks people up who disagree with them? I guess that only works if that authoritarian is on your side though, huh? I honestly think that the sub made the effort to post so many times about the same thing says more about them than anything else.

Andy Worthington

You don't like others freedom of speech by the sound of it unless they agree with you

Imperial Mort

I'm American and I don't agree with you

Steve S

Idk how I’m extreme. I don’t cast aspersions on how other people live their lives. We will see who history favors. Love always wins.

Joe Laster

No, what I meant is that in 1992 you could have different opinions and still get along. This extreme view that you are displaying here is still a relatively new phenomenon. No one has made a comment that questions the validity of anyone, that's just what you want to read/hear. Try to be a bit more open-minded and not always assume that others have bad intentions. For me, the topic is over.

Digitalversager

Sorry but when my gay brothers and sisters validity are put into question, the gloves come off. If you can’t handle the heat get out of the kitchen. Us enlightened folk will continue with or without you.

Joe Laster

Your completely unhinged tirades are far more baffling. Get some counseling, dude.

Brandon

You’re so right everybody knows gay people didn’t exist in 1992. You realize Bram Stoker himself was a closted homosexual and he was born in 1847… I swear, the ignorance I have read in this thread alone is baffling.

Joe Laster

Well, when Bram Stoker's Dracula came out, none of this nonsense existed, so it's all good.😅 Jokes aside, I don't know what offends you so much but take a deep breath and think about whether you're overreacting too much. Chi's comment was completely harmless. I actually found it rather funny because it's so classic Chi. I for one don't want the ladies to censor themselves, their open and honest nature is what makes their reaction so incredibly entertaining.🙂 I think this topic should be over now, it just doesn't belong here.

Digitalversager

Hello America welcome to the world

Imperial Mort

Not at the moment but will get it out to show some slides later, love old projectors they are so, old

Imperial Mort

Also does no one see the irony of loving all these Hollywood movies and then turning around and making these kinds of comments. At least be consistent.

Joe Laster

As a Canadian, self aware of the different cultures around the world, i wasn't bothered by Chi's comment. Everyone has their own road. Don't just assume they're part of a corner of your own beliefs. The world doesn't revolve around us.

Daryl

Hey everybody, I’m just saying if you’re making content marketed toward Americans (reacting to American movies) you might not want to vocalize your “opinion” so brazenly. I guarantee that part doesn’t make it to youtube.

Joe Laster

It’s absolutely absurd for you to demand that women on the other side of the planet, who come from a different culture, conform to your Californian liberal values. Get over yourself. It’s actually quite xenophobic of you. Not everyone exists in your bubble.

Anthony

As an American, I'm not offended in the slightest by her voicing her opinion.

Brandon

Projecting?

Joe Laster

Pretty toxic attitude "Joe"... Americans ≠ Californians

IronHead

"Two girls shouldn't do that" get over it guys different countires are different about a lot of things, if you think she is being disrespectful, I say again get over it. You should check out what they say about men without jobs does that offend you too?

Imperial Mort

I think you're taking her comment a bit too serious

Henry N.

40:09 I’m reconsidering my membership and I think a lot of americans would agree with me.

Joe Laster

40:09 Chi wtf?

Joe Laster

40:09 Chi no

Joe Laster

40:09 A little disappointed

Joe Laster

Both VERY good choices. I vote "Interview with the Vampire" & "Sleepy Hollow" as well. Definitely gives Halloween vibes!!!

Daryl

4... also Cary Elwes who played Wesley in Princess Bride and Robin Hood in Men in Tights

JessDMorgan

When the Ottomans invaded Romania, Vlad III "the Impaler" impaled 20,000 Turkish POWs around his capital city. At the sight this, the Sultan was like fuck everything about this, I'm going home. The Trung Sisters lead a rebellion against the Chinese occupation of Vietnam. A large portion of the Vietnamese fighting forces included women. The Chinese shock tactic was to send their soldiers into battle buck naked. This cause such shame among the women in the Vietnamese army, they fled the battleground. And the rebellion was crushed. They would also send multiple waves of solders at the enemy lines screaming like maniacs who would proceed to try to cut their own heads off. Many only succeeded at cutting their throat and not the whole head. Anyone who managed to cut of their whole head would be promoted for demonstrating a tremendous capacity for follow-through, and re-assigned to decapitation instruction detail.

Imperial Mort

Francis Ford Coppola also made The Godfather(1972) and the Godfather 2(1974) which are really great films. I think this and The Lost Boys(1987) are in my opinion two of the best vampire movies ever made

Francisco

I bet they would really enjoy Sleepy Hollow. Great movie.

Looney

While watching this I was thinking that you would enjoy 'Interview with the Vampire' (1994) and 'Sleepy Hollow' (1999)

Jonathan Harker tries to break out of Dracula's Castle. Meanwhile, I'm trying to break in.

Steven Roy

Bram Stoker's Dracula is my favorite all time movie ever! Happy Halloween and wish Hella would see this movie!

Matt Rudd

I love this movie. The movie is considered to be one of the most faithful adaptations of Bram Stoker's Dracula, although the story was changed in one crucial point. In the book, Dracula was much more of a creature of evil, whereas in the movie he is a more tragic figure. The focus on the tragic love story makes Dracula much more human. I like this twist in the story. Many well-known actors are in this Movie. Three that Chi already knows are: Keanu Reeves plays Jonathan Harker, also played Neo in The Matrix, John Wick and John Constantin. Gary Oldman, who plays Dracula, also played Sirius Black in Harry Potter, Zorg in the 5th Element and Commissioner Gordan in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. Anthony Hopkins plays Van Helsing, also played Dr Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs. It's so cute how Chi says "sexy scenes". That was an awesome reaction ladies, nice to see Katie again too.💜 Dracula: Dead but Loving it will be a good follow-up Movie to this one, I'm looking forward to it.😅 Thanks again for all the uploads over the last few days, you ladies are the best.🙂

Digitalversager

Great fun horror movie! Not too scary

SlavicGold

This is probably the best version Of Dracula out there It's quite an old movie but it has aged very well

King Bob

One of the best versions of the story! Even won 3 Oscars, one for Best Costume Design!

Nathanial House

Mina is the reincarnation of Elizabeth. Winna Ryder played both of them. Bram Stoker wrote the original Dracula novel and based it on Vlad the Impaler. Dracula must rest on the soil of his homeland, that's why he bought properties all over London - he placed boxes in these locations so he could rest during the day. He is shown in the crates several times in the film. Vampires can't be seen in a mirror - which is why he broke it. Keanu Reeves played Harker. You've seen him in the Matrix and John Wick movies, And a lot more. Lisa's fiance is Cary Elwes from Robin Hood - Men in Tights. Dracula is played by Gary Oldman - you saw him in the Christopher Nolan Batman films - he played Gordon - the cop he was friends with. A concubine is a mistress but normally for bearing children. In the film Dune - Lady Jessica is a concubine.

Gregory A Mann

Omg omg!! Definitely looking forward to watching this tonight!!! ^o^
