Batman Reaction

Micheal Keaton a comedic actor playing Batman, and Jack Nicholson known at the time for very serious roles playing the Joker.

Kris Homeniuk

Tim Burton movies have such a distinct aesthetic. Very artistic and uniquely his. Other essential Tim Burton movies to watch: - Edward Scissorhands - The Nightmare Before Christmas - Ed Wood - Big Fish - Beetlejuice

Chris

Oh I know, it was just thought because of who was in it they would like it. Also excellent profile picture.

Daniel Sheargold

Tim Burton did not direct that movie.

Alex Anderson

Great reaction, a good movie, my suggestion: Fright Night ( 1985 ) and the Dexter TV series, I know that you are into Games of Thrones and got impacted by the nude, gore scenes, etc but Dexter is not like that. Thanks.

Ervin Cortez

I’d recommend Batman forever from 1995 Tim burtons last Batman movie, plus there’s a certain actor in it that you ladies will be really familiar with

Daniel Sheargold

The last time I watched this movie was in 2007 when I was 10 years old. It brings back so many memories so thanks for reacting to this movie. It was a treat to rewatch.

Angelos Saniotis

It’s relatable in a way. I did have a date at London Zoo once, but I’m not sure that’s the same as a museum (watched a giraffe having a piss).

Duncan

“Jack Nicholson! The Shining! Scary Dad!” 😂 Jack ‘Scary Dad’ Nicholson is fantastic! 👍🏻

Duncan

As Good as it Gets is so good.

Manospondylus

Joker: “Those are my balloons…” Hella: “I know, it’s okay, we’ll get you another one” 🤣 🤣

fan

Hela telling Chi that museum dates are cool is super cute, ngl

James Hull

So much fun! Great analysis from both Hella & Chi as always!

Tyler T

I hope you guys also watch "The Batman" with Robert Pattinson

Cornelius P. Stranglefart, Attorney at Law D.D.S.

I always enjoy the batmobile driving in the forest with the music great mood

[for Joshua] While there have been a very few films the ladies have directly/indirectly referenced during reactions as having previously seen, the presumption —that so far holds true— for this channel is that the vast majority of American & European films are new to them until they actually do a reaction video for them.

S_Vive

I'll always remember Dormer for playing her interesting take on Moriarty in CBS's Elementary.

S_Vive

I think you'd love SLEEPY HOLLOW directed by Tim Burton. It has Hella's favorite, Johnny Depp.

Steven Roy

Good point

Francisco

Jack Nicholson movie I'd like to see you react to- 'As Good as it Gets' (1997) Tim Burton movie I'd like to see you react to- 'Big Fish' (2003)

S M

Watching Scream would spoil Friday the 13th, Psycho, Halloween, A Nightmare on Elm Street, etc. They should at least watch those few before Scream.

S M

Agree

Francisco

They haven't done reactions to it.... they haven't seen most of these movies and you think they saw Scream and I Know What You did Last Summer in their off time?

Alex Anderson

I love your reaction. I hope that you also watch Batman Returns(1992) possibly for Christmas 🎄. I would also recommend that you'd watch the Scream franchise before the "Scary Movie" franchise so you can understand the references better. Thanks 😊

Francisco

Why would you assume they haven’t seen it?

Joshua Christian

I haven't seen the movie since I was a child. Tim Burton's art style is definitely great, I like his Gotham, somehow grounded but surreal. Jack Nicholson's Joker is also very good, he's a little bit crazy in a different way. Jack Nicholson must have made quite an impression on Hella in The Shining, because she recognized him straight away. I think The Shining was Hella's first reaction on this channel. What surprises me is that Ben Affleck's Batman always gets so much criticism because he uses weapons and apparently kills criminals. But Michael Keaton's Batman kills at least two people, the Joker and his accomplice, who he throws down the stairwell. And I think all the criminals standing around the Batmobile while he plants the bomb and blows up the whole factory probably didn't all make it. But Keaton's Batman isn't often criticized for that. The movie definitely deserves to be a classic. I'm already looking forward to Batman Returns. I haven't seen the movie in ages either. What I do remember is that there was a nice SNES game for Batman Returns.😅 I discovered a good horror movie over the weekend that I would like to recommend for Halloween. The Forest (2016) the movie is set in the famous Aokigahara forest, with Natalie Dormer (who plays Margaery Tyrell in Game of Thrones) in the lead role. Awesome reaction as always ladies and thanks for so many uploads recently.💜

Digitalversager

I agree. Batman Returns is amazing. Can't wait for that either.

I hope you ladies enjoyed it! This is probably my favorite batman movie, followed closely by The Dark Knight and Batman Returns. A lot of childhood nostalgia with this movie, but I think the performances holds up really well over time too. I'll try to explain the Joker's catch phrase for you. So Batman knows about the criminal Jack Napier early on in the movie, and fights him in the chemical factory, where Batman assumed Jack dies. Then, Batman (as Bruce) sees the Joker for the first time outside of city hall, but recognizes him as Jack Napier. But he doesn't know Jack is the man who killed his parents yet. Then, when Bruce goes over to Vickie's house to confess, the Joker shows up. There is a confrontation, and the Joker pulls a gun and says "You ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?" Bruce is a bit shocked because he recognizes this phrase from the night of his parents murder. This is how Bruce realizes that Jack, now the Joker, killed his parents. The Joker sort of confirms this by immediately saying "I always ask that of all my prey, I just like the sound of it." Bruce goes home after than and looks at his collection of news articles about his parent's murder and we see the flashback where young Jack says the same line to young Bruce.

It is important to understand that with any of the major super hero series (Batman, Superman, Spiderman, X-Men, Avengers, etc) they were written and drawn by many different writers and artists over multiple generations in some cases, so there usually is not one version of the story even in the comics. Instead the story is told again and again but changed a little bit by which creators are working on it. This is Tim Burton's and Sam Hamm's version of Batman specifically and so while major themes are drawn from the comics it can deviate a lot (like having Jack Napier being the killer of Bruce's parents). Keep this in mind on other series too. You aren't necessarily missing things by not having read the comics (except in a specific situation I can think of from Batman V Superman where knowing about how Robin died is important to understanding Bruce's behavior).

Anna Kyruin

Why are you recommending this when they haven't seen Scream or any of the other movies Scary Movie references (aside from Exorcist)

Alex Anderson

Finally i hear your Vietnamese!! Very cute. Thank you for all the reactions, i love anything with joker in it. haha If you guys are looking for GOOD horror movies that are also new. "Before i wake" 2016 is Really good. It's very similar to the movie The Sixth Sense. Also "Smile" is pretty good and probably one of the scariest movies that you can watch without it being too scary.

N2Joker

I don't know anything about fashion but I'm always so impressed with your outfits. Its like every reaction is a photo shoot.

Cornelius P. Stranglefart, Attorney at Law D.D.S.

Batman returns one of my favourite movies Can't wait for that one

King Bob

Can we do reactions to Scary Movie and Scary Movie 2, they’re hilarious 😆

Joshua Christian

Oh heck yes! Can't wait to watch this.
