I could see Diana listening to this one through earbuds while working in her Louvre office.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KOEOvCldeo

I was just about to suggest "All quiet on the western front", if you'd like to learn more about ww1. But I think it might be a little too heavy for the two of you.

Jonas

It would be more accurate to say the Eurpean acts of genocide, since it was started by several countries the finished by the colonial powers they set up.

Kris Homeniuk

The actress playing Diana's aunt, is the same one who played Princess Buttercup in the Princess Bride

Kris Homeniuk

Real quick historical spoiler, Ludendorf and Hiddenburg were the German dream team of ww1, and they both survived the war.

"It’s not about deserve. It’s about what you believe. And I believe in love." ~

Proto Type

That "Sorry Mom" in unison was hilarious. I guess the actress that plays Diana's mom is good.

Cornelius P. Stranglefart, Attorney at Law D.D.S.

Pacific rim would be a fun one i think.

Ninja Puppet

And most of the months are named after old gods too.

Qapla'

Yeah, you're right. I forgot who were the sons of the titans. I stand by my lightning comment, though

James Hull

That is not correct, Zeus, Hades and Poseidon are brothers and the sons of the Titan Kronos. All other gods, such as Ares, were their children. That is why Diana calls Ares her brother.

Digitalversager

Don't forget Frigg's day and Odin/Wodin's day. We (largely) unknowingly celebrate Norse mythology 3 days a week!

James Hull

Zeus is Diana's father. Ares is Zeus' brother, so technically he's her uncle. Zeus also is the Greek god associated with lightning, so why Ares is depicted flinging it around is also kinda confusing.

James Hull

I hope you'll react to The Suicide Squad (2021) on your DC journey!

mundanelotus

Great reaction! Note that this story is set against WW1. Nazi Germany was WW2.

Jason Brugger

It's too late. People who know how to speak Klingon are already headed to your house.

Wonder Woman is inspired by Greek Mythology. In this movie, Zeus, the king of the gods, is her father. She has an Amazonian mother, so the combination produces a very strong child. You might not have noticed, but Diana's trainer and aunt in this film is the same actress that played Princess Buttercup in The Princess Bride. She's no Buttercup in this film. In actual Greek Mythology, there are quite a few demi-gods (half human/half gods). Zeus really couldn't leave human women alone, haha. The more famous ones being ACHILLES, HERCULES, and PERSEUS. There are films about all of these characters, but the 1981 film, CLASH OF THE TITANS, is about Perseus. It's been a long time since I watched that movie but I remember it being cool, and most the special effects are stop-motion. Marvel comics have also used characters from Greek mythology and have their own version of Hercules and Zeus, but they are not as popular as THOR, who is based on Norse Mythology. Did you know we say Thursday because that was originally Thor's-day?

The reason Charlie (the sharpshooter) is wearing a "dress" as Chi says is because he is scottish. He is actually wearing a kilt, a traditional scottish garment; which is basically a skirt for men

phoenix241

No, please don't!!? Maybe you can wait another 10 years. By then there will definitely be a new Star Trek reboot and all the fans will be convinced that JJ Abraham's Star Trek wasn't so bad after all.😅

Digitalversager

1:12:15 I think you misunderstood. He is not a german who switched sides. He is a native american (sometimes called 'indians', though that is a bit outdated these days). When he says that "His people" (referring to Steve) took everything from him, he is talking about the american genocide of the native peoples.

phoenix241

Aww I'm gonna tell all the trekkies and you're gonna be in so much trouble! XD

Wonderful movie and reactors. Best react channel.

Very good origin movie for Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot is definitely the perfect casting for her. I wish Warner Brothers had been more careful with the DCEU and given Batman a proper origin movie too. If they hadn't rushed to get to the big team-up movie, maybe the DCEU could have really become something good. If you want to see more of Chris Pine (Steve), he played Captain Kirk in the Star Trek reboot. 3 movies in total: Star Trek (2009), Star Trek Into Darkness and Star Trek Beyond. I like the Star Trek reboot, even if you have to admit that they are more like a Star Wars knock-off than proper Star Trek movies, but they are good knock-offs in their own way. But don't tell that to any Star Trek fan.😅 By the way, it isn't a skirt what Charlie (the group's sniper) is wearing, it's a kilt, a traditional Scottish clothing for men. You might remember Braveheart, in that movie all the men wore them. Awesome reaction ladies, and I'm looking forward to Justice League.💜
