Superman grew up with it and developed his powers gradually, Zods group gets a little dose their bodies start to react and they aren't used to it. Plus they want to punish Jor El, and Kal El by destroying his adopted planet.

2024-10-09 17:27:54 +0000 UTCIn the comic book: it explains it's not just the glasses. Superman changes the way he walks, his speech patterns, his mannerisms, and every aspect of his movements. It's to the point where people think Clark Kent is just some guy that may resemble Superman but no way it could be him. Christopher Reeves did it best playing Clark in the old movies.

First, the extremely high-powered 30mm gun of the A-10 plane does absolutely nothing to the super-badguys... so they are like: let's try our tiny 5.56 cailbre rifles! Oh wait, that has no effect either, maybe a tiny little 9mm pistol will do the trick? no? How about a ... knife! I was hoping they would resort to nerf guns at some point.

The way they do all those jumps back and forth in time, especially in the beginning as he arrives on Earth, suddenly is an adult, then a kid again... is simply annoying. I know "non-linear storytelling" is very popular among some directors, but I just don't like it. Love your reactions though.

Unfortunately, the Superman portrayed in this movie is a knob-end compared to his standard portrayal: like destroying the guy's truck was rather petulent, destroying half of Smallville and a good deal of Metropolis by not knowing or caring about minimizing damage (like when he jumps over the Lexcorp tanker instead of stopping it), wantonly destroying satellites, and letting Jonathan Kent die because of contrived reasons makes it easy to question his intentions. This is probably Snyder's intent because he is an edgy teenager who thinks all superheroes should be The Watchmen.

2024-09-29 22:41:05 +0000 UTCToday there is a double upload, a nice surprise.🙂 I really like Man of Steel and I think Henry Cavill is the perfect Superman actor (of our time😉). A lot of comic fans get upset about Superman killing Zod in Man of Steel. I'm more of the opinion that there are so many different versions of Superman in the comics, why shouldn't this be one too. But I must admit that I'm not a big comic book fan and so I'll probably let more slide than real fans. Next week you'll get to know Ben Affleck as Batman. For me, Ben Affleck is the perfect Batman actor, unfortunately he didn't have the good Nolan scripts. Of course Christian Bale's Batman is very good too.😅 Another great reaction ladies.💜 I'm looking forward to the Batman v Superman reaction next week.
