Time flies when you are having fun.😅 Wonderful reaction ladies.💜 I'm looking forward to the reaction of the Two Towers.🙂 It's interesting that Hella says she feels a connection between Gandalf and the Balrog. In the mythology of The Lord of the Rings, the two are of the same race. The Balrogs were corrupted by Morgoth (the first Dark Lord) and drawn to the evil side. The colors of the wizards show their rank; there were originally 5 wizards. Saruman the White is the leader of the wizards and (should be) the wisest and most powerful, then comes Gandalf the Grey, then comes Radagast the Brown, of whom we know that he gave up his mission and loves nature very much. Finally, there are the two blue wizards, of whom we only know that they traveled to the far East (the land that was under Sauron's control) and probably died there. Galadriel (the elf Hella calls the mother) is one of the oldest and most powerful beings in the world. I believe at the time of Lord of the Rings she was 11,000 years old and had experienced all three ages.

2024-06-30 23:40:02 +0000 UTCyeah in the books but it is quite obvious they aren't trying to portray that in the movie. 33 is the age a hobit becomes an adult, Frodo is older in the book than Sam, but in the movies they are all portrayed as the same age

I command you!” I love how they disliked Boromir throughout the movie, but his death was so touching and honorable that they didn’t want him gone, and even Chi got teary eyed. Great reaction ladies. Really looking forward to the Two Towers reaction. It’s my favorite of the trilogy. And Chi and Hella will have their faith rewarded. I REALLY can’t wait to see how they react to Gollum!

It was so cute watching Chi fangirling over the extreme beauty throughout the movie. Well Chi, we all did the same the first time we watched these movies. It was all filmed in New Zealand. Probably one of the most breathtakingly beautiful locations on earth for greenery and scenic locations.

Tom Doss (Father of Desmond Doss) in Hacksaw Ridge (2016) and V in V for Vendetta (2005). Boromir was played by Sean Bean who also played Odysseus in Troy (2004). Gimli (the Dwarf) was played by John Rhys-Davies. John also played Sallah in Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Legolas (the Elf) was played by Orlando Bloom who played Paris in Troy (2004). Bilbo Baggins was played by Ian Holm. Ian also played Ash (science officer and robot) in Alien (1979) and Father Vito Cornelius in The Fifth Element (1997). Arwen (daughter of Elrond) was played by Liv Tyler who appeared in Armageddon (1998) as Grace Stamper.

2024-06-30 20:18:59 +0000 UTCand just to add some basic information, while Frodo etc may look young, Frodo is 50, Sam 38, Merry 36 and Pippin 28 when they leave the Shire. A hobbit is pretty much an adult as they reach their 30's so you guys calling them "little boys" is funny.
