Freaks (Alt) - Scarred

The original concept for this image...

I often say that part of what makes being an ABDL/Little/Ageplayer so difficult is the stigmas that the general public has. I've written a few times about this subject on my blog so I won't go into it too heavily here, but I will touch on it a little.

When you were younger, did you ever witness someone being bullied for a reason that you could relate to, be it your sex, gender, physique, social status, etc? Were you ever bullied yourself? Of course you do. Everyone experiences it from somewhere at some point. It's a part of growing as a human being. We all know what it's like for someone to fling a perfectly worded insult which cuts us in a personal way.

It bothers me how easily it is for people to see something they don't understand and immediately label it as something wrong or unpleasant. Any ABDL with a social media account knows what it's like for some random person to send an incredibly rude, insulting, or cruel message with many harsh words. These words and insults used are meant to hurt, and nothing else. They don't represent an intelligent, open mind. They don't allow for a mature conversation or discussion about certain lifestyles.

They are meant to hurt, often in the most uniformed and false ways possible. So I wanted to show two ABDLs who have been cut by these words and labels through their lives, and the scars which those labels can leave on a person's psyche represented as physical wounds.

Yet despite this rather bleak and macabre idea, I still wanted to show that the two figures in the picture find strength and comfort with each other, even if it's just as simple as holding a hand when needed. The more we stick together and try to understand one another, the more the scars heal and grow over.
