Kind of being going down a rabbit hole this last week and a bit. Behold... Nanite voxels 😂😂. Also have been experimenting with "realistic" nature assets. No idea if this will work out but I wanted to try.

I do watch Threat Interactive. I haven't heard of Vercidium, ill check them out.

I'm curious, have you watched anything by Threat Interactive or Vercidium? Vercidium talks about how to optimize many aspects of games; from godrays to voxel environments. Threat Interactive talks about the render pipeline and problems with systems line nanite/lumen, and how to achieve similar levels of quality with less overhead/better performance using more traditional methods. Might be worth looking into if you're looking at doing some optimization work.

are u using voxel plugin 2 for this? or do you have own c++ code that generates the nanite data? would be interesting how it performs vs the old draw data

not really. the main limiting factor for render distance is not really rendering its generating the voxel data that is the bottleneck

yes the same scene will render faster but I have increased the complexity of assets like trees so performance is about the same

no the game will not be supporting directx 11 sorry.

using the nanite pipeline in unreal engine 5 basically means faster rendering which will allow me to use more complex assets like more realistic trees etc.

Interesting! I think rendering changes and performance are deffo rabbit-hole worthy before adding a tonne of 'content', so cool to see. I would assume using nanite would mean some extreme render distances are more pheasable!

I recently played for thr first time and am loving the game, however I do have one question: Will doors be added anytime soon? Or if they are already in the game, what's the recipe?

is there any possibility the game will support direct x11 in the future I got my subcription without knowing about the requirements and my graphics card wont support direct x12 but is capible of running this game as i play games with higher requirements just a question if i should get a new card or not
