Hey guys, it's been a long time since my last update, but I finally want to share the new Succubus.
*Updated WIP previews with working textures & new base hair texture** (After work today I found out the problem was just a file directory issue, after I installed a new update to Maya)
The reason I've been working so long on this is partly because of being busy IRL this month combined with my part-time work.
But mainly, it was the procedural textures that I've made for the NPC models which the Succubus shares
If you notice, I gave the Succubus a much pinker skin tone which is the main focused color of this beast as opposed to the Dark-elves which will have purple skin tones. However human skin shading is brown/beige, so my new procedural maps allow a single color to be chosen from a color palette, compared to going through each shading map and changing its color. This helped me chosen pinker shading for the Succubus
For one this speed up my workflow tons, but it was also necessary for the texture randomization that will happen in-game
The next step before the animation I have planned with this character, is adding some more modifications to the rig which will allow me to move around the face for further randomization options.
Most of the work to the rig has already been done, the main parts that need to be done are creating presets
So don't get to comfortable with this face in the preview because you may not see its variation again!
Now that a template has been made for this NPC/Succubus, there will be many modifications added such as eyebrow type, blush, freckles and makeup in texturing. And a whole lot more to face model presets
