Since their drones are unable to transform others into their race, the lorthass use the heavy claws of their so-called "Patriarchs" These almost 7,5 feet tall crab-creatures are not only the most intelligent, but also the most feared warriors of the race, bein on-pair with the most skilled Tizzian fighters.

Lorthass Patriarchs catch their victims with their heavy claws and inject their transformative substance to create a new Drone.

Patriarchs are always equipped with male genitalia. Their strong physis and potency not only makes them the perfect protector of the Drones, but also a perfect to mate with the much bigger Lorthass cows to give birth to new drones.

Lorthass Patriarchs can only be formed by a Lorthass King, which hatch as tiny crabs out of the unfertilized eggs of a Lorthass cow. Most of these tiny crabs die or get caught and eaten by other races, but usually, the hive pics a single one of them to protect it for years. It takes about 18 years until one of these crabs grow into a Lorthass King, that is able to create more Patriarchs to protect the hive
