The smaller nagas of a Lyran clan are called the enlightened
They usually rule over smaller parts of a hive and are in direct command over dozends of Guardian- and Worker-Lyrans.
As advisors of the queens, Lyran enlightened are often very well protected and rarely seen outside their sacred den.
Just like their queens, Lyran enlightened also produce the very important symbiote snakes, which are able to turn inferior species into Guardians or Workers to make the hive grow.
Lyran Enlightened are the only Lyran sub-species that hatches out of eggs, which are produced by Lyran queens and other fertilized enlightened. They are also able to evolve into Lyran queens through a ritual, if the clan needs a new leader.
