How we all doing? I'm feeling pretty fucking groovy. Current mood. Jam out with me.

Now, it may seem like I took another month to post, but looks can be deceiving. I was actually doing a lot of drawing. I did the classic strat of starting a bunch of projects. Which is... always a really good way of doing it. Good thing though, I actually like all of the stuff I've been working on, so that's great. I had gotten super far in one, like, I had worked on it longer than it took me to do this one, but I had to take a break because rendering gold made me want to hurt myself in horrible ways. Anyways, let's talk about this one.

This is Toriel, from Undershirt. Last post I made a joke about her, I think, and then it got me thinking, hey? Why not draw her? I think people like her. Now, I've never played Undermined, because why draw a character from some media I actually have experience with? But, I have played Earthbound, and that's basically the same game. Earthbound totally rules. I love that game. I know it was like, trendy to get into Earthbound because all the other indie games were all inspired by Earthbound and shit, but I played it after that blew over and once I got my grubby little fingers on one of those cool SNES minis. Definitely my favorite SNES game, probably one of my favorite games overall. It probably doesn't slap as hard as it would've back when it came out, since a lot of games do the whole surreal and wacky thing this one does. But it's still oh-so worth playing.

"Yeah, okay Grandpa. Why don't you tell us all about how you remember 9/11 while you're at it?" Alright, whatever, let's talk about Toriel, then. Since I haven't played this lame-o game, whatever it's called, the only things I know about Toriel are through cultural osmosis. I know her name is a play on the word "Tutorial," and she literally handholds you through the beginning of the game. Which I think is pretty funny. She's a goat or a dog or something. And I know she also like, forcefully tries to adopt you?? And attacks you to make you stay, or something. Yandere MILFs are pretty cool. I wish a foxy mama with big titties would forcefully try to adopt me. I need a new mom. Mother's day was not too long ago, and my current mom does what she always does. I drove over to my parents' house, and she was already four beers in. She just said, with a firm finality, "We're going to Applebees." And I had hoped, nay, prayed, that maybe this year would be different. But alas, it was not. That night ended like any other Mother's Day. After nine dollaritas, she started screaming about how I was trying to steal her purse, so that a bunch of white knights would get riled up and beat the shit out of me. And, of course, she filmed it all and put it on her OnlyFans. So, if you guys want to watch me get beaten to a bloody pulp, just subscribe to her. Anyways, having a woman kidnap you and become your mother seems pretty rad, to me. But, every time I wander around, looking for a new mommy, preferably with an ample bust, they all scream "¡La criatura! ¡La criatura!" and throw stones at me. Sigh. Maybe some day. Toriel, if I... fell down a hole? Isn't that what happens? If I fell down a hole, and you wanted to be my mommy, by George I'd let you.

Back to the art. The last one who was... whatever her name was, Hope or Harp or something, and she took me a while to do. I was wondering, do I get tripped up with human faces? And hair? So, I was hoping that Toriel would be quicker. And she was. To celebrate that quickness, I decided to make it overly complicated, so rendering was a fucking bitch. She has, what, like, three different arms? I guess it makes for a cooler piece, but the layer organization looks like a crime scene. I am really happy with how she's turned out, but, maybe I'd try less nonsense. I do think her pose is a little weak. I want to get better at that. More dynamic poses.

That's all from me. Not a lot of jokes on this one, unfortunately. I'm just not too terribly familiar with the character, or the game. She was fun to draw, however. I'll probably animate her. I used to do those silly character sheets? But I think I'll do this, instead. Make something more presentable. Now that I know how I'd like to draw her, I'm free to animate something.
