(WIP) [ANIMATION] PIX "Key Art"

H'Okay, THIS one is like, my White Whale. I got asked to do this like, right when I started, by the voice actress Pixie Willow. I'm sure if you dig through all my old terrible work you'd find the WIP post for the first version. Seriously, my old work is fucking awful, it gives me a fight-or-flight response. Thank you all for being nice to me back then, because I would've spat on myself. 

Anyways, the big concern with this one is the length. It'll be a long one. Well, long for me. It's gonna be a few seconds. Still, considering how long it's taken me to make animations, I've been so terrified of making it. The conundrum was, if I focus on making it, then how will I make enough animations for the month? If I ignore it, then when will I get to make it? I was paralyzed. Instead of making a decision and just working on something, I ended up doing barely anything. So I made NO animations (Well, a few, but still) and now here we are. It was a stupid conundrum, really stupid, but I guess it had some logic. That fucking SLG_03 took me almost TWO HUNDRED hours. I was stubborn, I was sticking to terrible old techniques, not aware that I needed to change. I thought if I just like, kept with it, I would get faster. I wish I could slap my past self. I have to settle for slapping my present self.

With my new willingness to learn and change my techniques, actually doing things like a real animator would do, I should be able to make this one. Now, I suspect this will still take me a while, so what I (geniusly) will be doing is flip flopping back and forth between projects. A little on this one, a little on another way way way smaller one. I am committing to making two a month, I can't stand being a wastrel anymore. With that Sandy one, I KNOW I can do this now, that took 28 hours over like, three or four days? So, I should absolutely be able to do both now. Man, I gotta tell you, that definition of insanity thing is so fucking true, I was doing the same thing over and over and asking myself "Why don't things just feel right? Why am I working so much and making no progress? I guess I'll just double down, surely then things will be better." God, fuck that. 

Anyways, that was a rant. So, lemme explain this one. Mercy's gonna yoink off Pixie's clothing, so most will be on one layer. There's also going to be a bikini version, which will be yoinked cleverly and geniusly hidden beneath the other clothes being yoinked. It... will make sense when it's done.

Like I said, this will be a long one, expect slow updates. However, I am damn committed to making it, so no matter how hard it beats me down, I will figure it out. Not like how I was figuring things out before, no fucking sir. Also, I'll be starting on the next small animation soon, I'm shooting to have that sucker done before the 15th.
