That's one long title.
There was a lot of work I was unhappy with on this one. Some real lazy shit to it. And like, that sucks. Taking all these shortcuts, making a soulless piece? That's some real small-penis energy right there. I mean, my penis is small, but it's the size of the cock of your soul that matters.
I went back and really looked at my first animations, and I think they're uglier but I really just went nuts on them. I wanted to do them RIGHT goddammit, as right as I could do them. Lately I've been so worried about trying to meet deadlines and trying to fulfill promises and trying to get back on track, and all that stress is just petrifying. When like, back when I started, I just wanted to make animations. And I wanted to do them right. I think my primary audience has always been myself, where like, I try my hardest to impress myself, because I'm a narcissistic douche. And taking shortcuts makes me feel like a friggin' nerd. So, I'm not doing that shit anymore. I want to be proud of the work that y'all will blast ropes to. Now that I'm as free as a peacock, not only do I want to get this shit straightened out and back in business, but I want these to be the BEST that I can make them. I think the previous Frankie one looks pretty damn lifeless, even if the style is a bit more refined. I don't want that anymore.
Anyways, here's the new and improved Gesture, and the Keyframe has a few fixes. One thing I'm trying to nail down is subtlety in movement. Some of my older ones really swing around in a ridiculous way, and it doesn't really look right. So I'm trying to make things look more... natural. Though I'm sure some properly trained animator would beat me to death over all the mistakes I probably made here.
Stay tuned for the Pencils, they'll be here soon.
