2017-09-03 11:00:50 +0000 UTCAre you talking about the Poster API images? If so, you can define the size it returns using the "h" parameter: http://img.omdbapi.com/?i=tt3896198&h=2000&apikey=[yourkey] many new posters can be sized up to 2000x1500

2017-09-02 15:49:39 +0000 UTCHi Brian, we've been a Patron for a while now but only recently have gotten our act together and used the API. I have an issue with the low image resolution. Its not good enough for our (any?) site. Is there a) anything obvious we're missing? B) any plans to improve this? We've supported your good work, but I'm afraid we'll have to look elsewhere if this is the permanent idea. Not to threaten - just the honest feedback. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks Brendan

2017-08-13 12:43:31 +0000 UTCYou most likely were seeing a cached response from testing the example links before the key was active. I tested your key and it was working fine.

2017-05-22 19:07:43 +0000 UTCCool, thanks Brian! Any chance of adding the Short and Long Plot to one XML file? That would be fantastic.
Ryan Peterson
2017-05-17 18:59:28 +0000 UTCNot only that. It is INSANELY over priced. I am 100% cool with paying for an API. I auto donate to any API I use, but charging $1,000's for an API is just insane.

2017-03-29 17:35:54 +0000 UTCRotten Tomatoes started charging for accessing their API sometime late last year.

Marcel van der Veldt
2017-03-12 16:39:40 +0000 UTCAre the Tomato ratings gone? will they be back? using tomatoes=true results in 'N/A' on all ratings now..

2017-03-08 11:26:26 +0000 UTCWill get the "sponsor" amount as soon as possible. I have my own API so I know how time-consuming it is. I utilize OMDB to fill in the gap of what we are missing (Usually Metascore). Great API.

2017-02-23 22:01:26 +0000 UTCRegardless of api keys and all else, I'm sure attack prevention is _already_ his main concern. I would be interested in seeing some "browse-able" queries, much like Matthew is saying above.

2017-02-23 21:52:40 +0000 UTCSecurity and reliability are always my top priorities! This feature was in fact created for Emby.media a few months ago, and actually helps performance being many people who request a series end up doing 10-30+ additional requests (per episode) to get that data, so now they can get it all in one go.
Brian Fritz
2017-02-23 21:41:11 +0000 UTCThat might be something already planned to be utilized with the private server eventually. But good point, above all else attack prevention should be #1 priority.
Matthew Webster
2017-02-23 20:50:11 +0000 UTCInstead of adding this kind of new features could you please focus more on security and such things? Like I already proposed couple of days ago. Instead of having the api open let people register and give them an api key and let this be the first validation you provide to prevent people from abusing your wonderfull service.
Jeroen Somhorst
2017-02-23 20:30:17 +0000 UTCI would very much like if there was an incorporation of non-title/id related queries. For example to make an api call which consists of year (or year range) with genre parameters, and paging out those results. I think the more dynamic the parameters can be the better overall it will be for developers.
Matthew Webster
2017-02-23 20:18:21 +0000 UTCBy providing these more and more heavy CPU features, aren't we opening up to risks of future scaling/performance issues. To get this information, it's just a couple of API calls and any developer can do this. I worry that 1 year from now someone will find a way to slow down the service by running a series of these (new) heavy API requests. With any API, it's always good to have simple easy well-understood, but most of all, ROBUST calls and the developers can build on that and do the rest to build up the entire info at their end.
