AI生成作品に対する、FANBOXにおける今後の対応

こちらのFANBOX公式の発表によると、AI生成作品の今後の取扱いについて、要約すると、

①FANBOXにおいてAI生成作品は当面の間投稿禁止

②この措置のために変更される利用規約・ガイドラインの効力発生日や、FANBOXにおけるAI生成作品の定義などについての詳細は、後日改めて公表

③利用規約・ガイドラインの効力発生日以降は、AI生成作品を用いた投稿への警告や非公開化、クリエイターアカウントの停止などを行う

④既存の投稿やクリエイターアカウントについても上記③と同様の対応を行う

とのことのようです。

①については、「当面の間」とあるので、具体的にどのくらいの期間なのか、定かではありませんが、創作活動をする人たち全般の状況やAI生成に対する創作界隈のイメージ、社会全般のAIに対する規制あるいは運用状況など、諸般の事情を充分考慮したうえで決定されると思いますので、少なくとも半年以上は投稿禁止になるものだと考えています。

②については、後日詳細を発表とのことですので、いつになるかわかりませんがその発表を待ちたいと思います。

③については、利用規約・ガイドラインの効力発生日以降、新たに投稿する記事がAI生成作品の投稿禁止に触れるかチェックし、内容次第では種々の規制する旨の予告を指していると考えられます。

④については、既に投稿したAI生成作品についても利用規約・ガイドラインの効力が及ぶものとして、投稿者が投稿記事の非公開化等、対応しない場合、規制することを予告するものだと考えています。

以上を踏まえて、わたしとしましては、

・今後、FANBOXにおいては、AI生成作品を投稿しません。

・FANBOX公式からの告知が５月半ばであるということもあるので、不定期ではありますが、5月いっぱいは、AI生成作品はpixivで投稿します。(6月以降は未定です)

・現時点では、今後のFANBOXの具体的方針が不明なので、支援プラン自体は残しますが、上記の通り、FANBOXではAI生成作品を投稿しないので、支援プランの自動更新を停止をお勧めします。

・利用する支援サイトの変更については、Ci-enやPatreonなどの変更先を含めて、まだ検討段階ですので、決定次第、速やかに告知します。

・これまでの過去の投稿作品については、5月末を目途に順次非公開にしていきますので、保存等される方はお手数ですが個別にダウンロードしていただきますよう、お願いします。

その他、状況次第では、私の上記方針について変更する場合もありますので、なるべく速やかにその都度告知したいと思います。

以上、AI生成による創作活動は今後も続ける予定ですが、FANBOXでの創作活動はいったん終了することになります。

According to the official FANBOX announcement, the following is a summary of how AI-generated works will be handled in the future,

(1) AI-generated works will be banned from posting on FANBOX for the time being.

(2) The effective date of the Terms of Use and Guidelines to be changed for this measure and the details of the definition of AI-generated works on FANBOX will be announced at a later date.

(3) After the effective date of the Terms of Use/Guidelines, postings using AI-generated works will be warned, made private, creator accounts will be suspended, etc.

(4) Existing contributions and creator accounts will be handled in the same manner as described in (3) above.

As for (1), it says "for the time being," so it is not clear exactly how long it will take. However, it will be decided after fully considering various circumstances, such as the situation of people engaged in creative activities in general, the image of AI-generated works in the creative community, and regulations or operations on AI in society in general. Therefore, we believe that the ban will be in place for at least six months or longer.

As for (2), the details will be announced at a later date, so we will wait for that announcement.

As for (3), we think it refers to the notice that new articles to be posted after the effective date of the Terms of Use and Guidelines will be checked to see if they violate the ban on posting AI-generated works, and that various restrictions will be imposed depending on the content.

As for (4), I believe that this is a notice that the Terms of Use and Guidelines will apply to AI-generated works that have already been posted, and that if the contributor does not take action, such as making the posted article private, we will impose restrictions on them.

In light of the above, I would like to make the following comments

I will not submit AI-generated works to FANBOX in the future.
