The third diary entry documenting our travels and move from Australia to Europe.
Our last night in Sydney was a good one. We booked in to Mega Boom hotel in Clarence street, only about $80 for the night. Went back to Baxter’s Whisky Bar again and had a chilled night.
Flew off next day in the morning headed for Singapore. Pretty uneventful flight but we made it fun. The toilets in the plane are crowded with two in there. Enough said.
Arrived in Singapore around 7 and got a Grab (Asian taxi) to Boat Quay where we were staying three nights in a pod. Lots of bars and night life all around this area so no shortage of beers and good food. The heat was oppressive though, even late at night.
The Pod
The pods are pretty cool. We hired a double pod, they’re roomy enough for two and have power and air conditioning at a cost of around $80 a night. Walking into the aisle between the pods, which are stacked two high, feels like walking through a morgue. The place is very quiet but there’s humans inside the pods. Weird but cool.
Pods
First few days we were feeling pretty hammered from the heat and maybe some jet lag kind of thing combined with the fatigue from the week leading up to flying out. Aurora had a pretty busy schedule of shooting which was great for her bank balance.
We spent a night shooting in the pod which was pretty crazy. I was using the flash and it set off the smoke alarm, which freaked some people out a bit, including us.
Pod makeup pre shoot. The full crazy set coming soon...
Aurora did her usual amazing thing with wild make up and posing and we got some cool shots that are quite different. I haven’t heard if anyone doing a photo shoot in a pod before.
One day we went out to Sentosa beach. This grounded me completely. Nature, sun and wind always does. We did a shoot out on a small island which you could wade/swim to. The day was finished off in a beach bar and some special cocktails. It felt like we were living again.

The Sentosa set - coming soon...
The Massage
One night we went over to Chinatown and had a massage. Aurora had a clothed back and foot massage and I went for a full body. The masseuse was good. She did my back and legs then I turned over for the front. Suddenly she grabs my cock and starts waving it around smiling at me, mumbling something in Singaporean. I just made a ‘No’ gesture and she stopped but kept giggling. I think she may have asked “Is your girlfriend here?” as Aurora was asked “is your boy friend here?” by her male masseuse. Luckily she didn’t suffer the same free range groping. Have to admit I felt pretty violated by it. If some guy grabbed a woman’s genitalia without asking he’d be up for assault. Why is it that it’s ok to grab a guys dick without asking him?
After the first three pod nights we stayed in a really nice hotel called M Studio hotel. It’s location was a bit more upmarket but it was also close to a Chinatown which was good. M Studio wasn’t expensive either.
Marina Bay
Aurora took me to Marina Bay Sands one night. It’s like an earth friendly, but man made, eco farm. There are large artificial trees covered in vines that collect water and sunlight. The whole system generates enough power to run a 1000 homes for a year.
On the 'Sky Walk' at Marina Bay
We walked along the skywalk which ran at a height of around 30 metres above the ground, from tree to tree. It was quite beautiful, with the lights and the general atmosphere of the place.
It was a short walk over to the triple tower Sky Park Building building. Aurora wanted to take me to the top of one of the towers where there a swimming pool, restaurants and clubs etc. I’d buggered my knee and was limping around pretty bad and we went up and down two of the towers before going up the correct one - the first tower. Still, it was worth it. The views and vibe were pretty amazing. I whinged like a pussy about stuff and we had a deep conversation about the unknown aspects of our journey whilst looking out over the lights of Singapore from the railing of the cafe on top of the second tower.
Random comment: Aurora is growing her eyebrows thick
The last few days in Singapore were pretty cruisy as I felt more at home in the place. The nice hotel room helped.
Aurora had one day where she had three paid shoots in the hotel room and also a shoot where she was paid as a photographer. We also squeezed in a quick shoot and I love the results. My kind of edgy classy stuff which only Aurora can model in that way, with her style.
Aurora (WTF) shooting Elilith (@elilith.noir)
I hung about for one of her paid modelling gigs too. It was so interesting to see how the photographer worked. Directing almost every pose and all shots done statically and shot with a flash. The opposite of what I do actually and absolutely boring for the model.
One of our hotel room shoots - full set coming soon
So, the day we fly out we had a great massage (no dick groping) - just foot, neck and shoulders this time, fully clothed and both of us in the same room. As we were being massaged we purchased extra baggage from the airline at a total cost of $1700 - what the fucken fuck.
Got to the airport with a couple of hours to spare and went to check in. They said they wouldn’t let me fly because my ticketed name was different to my passport name. It said Mike instead of Michael. Fuck sake. So I had to ring the company who I bought the tickets from and was on the phone for over an hour. We didn’t know whether I could get my name changed and have the ticket re-issued and were imagining all sorts of scenarios of Aurora flying alone or staying behind with me and us both having to purchase new tickets etc. eventually with half and hour to spare I found out I could have the name changed and ticket re-issued at a cost of another $250. This was an expensive flight.
We got to the gate about half way through the boarding procedure luckily and are now safely on the fucking plane.
Random comment: We noted the toilets here have much more room than the ones on the Sydney to Singapore flight.
