This is a collab I would have never put together but it all worked so well together. I just wish they turned the music down a little when it was rayes turn bc I couldn’t hear anything she was saying, but other than that it was amazing with the sound, outfits, and visuals all together.

I could be alone on this but I had a feeling this song was gonna be a pass. I find that some songs which debut with a super high budget mv and merging lots of artists, are usually over compensating for the mediocrity of the song. Ofc Doja is great, and Lisa did her thing as well. In my opinion, the song is not bad, but the visuals are GREAT.

A few months ago Doja’s manager mentioned in an interview that Doja is working on her new album, and that this new body of work she says will be her “Magnum Opus”..and for those who don’t know what that means, she’s basically saying it’s going to be her best album she’s ever released sonically and artistically. They ateee! This is easily my favorite K-pop x Western collaboration! And it’s very different! Especially for Lisa & Doja! This was apparently a song that Raye wrote but her label wouldn’t let her release it so Lisa’s label bought the song and Lisa still wanted to keep Raye on it. Lisa and Raye sounded really good together! Especially towards the end with harmonies! And ofc Doja being an all rounder artist did amazing with the vocals & rap verse as well 🥰 There’s a rumor that Tyla is going to be on Lisa’s upcoming album and this collab made me even more excited if that’s true bc everything Lisa has released so far has been good, and all of the singles have been total opposites from each other! My Blackpink girlies have been eating with these solo releases and these western features have been insane! But I’m guessing that’s mostly due to them now being signed to big Western companies, like Lisa and Doja are on the same label now. And yes Blackpink are still together lmao they haven’t dropped anything as a group in like 3 years but are expected make their long awaited comeback in the spring.

As a huge Doja fan who has dove deep into her catalog (I've even made playlists of all her featured verses), from the best of my knowledge she hasn't sung like this before. I listened to the song on its own first and didn't realize it was her until she started rapping, once I watched the video I figured out she was singing first. Might be a reach, but her tone almost sounded like Michael Jackson to me. Her manager said that she wanted her next album to be her *IT* album so I'm def excited. He also commented under this song saying she's just getting started 🔥

my only issue with this song is that the mixing. the production is already so busy, the sound engineers shouldve raised their voices just a bit higher so we can hear what theyre saying. at some points especially on doja and raye verses they get a bit drowned out..

Was confused too when Doja came in like that. I know Doja can SING but it was very different here (in a good way.) Very smart to put her on this song and visuals eat (Especially if Doja is involved). Not ever gonna listen to this song again tho... imo just a little too bland and simple and the production isn't bad, its just very busy and the reverb is crazy.
