Yeah I was shocked when you said the man was black😭🤣 Most of the time when I’m in a foreign country or in white spaces and see black people, we give each other a head nod or greet each other as a sign of “ I see you🙌🏾” but your experience unfortunately was the opposite.

Last year I went on a roadtrip to Schwarzwald area in Germany it’s gorgeous forest with waterfalls and beautiful scenery and cute small towns. I went with my (white) boyfriend and I was the only black person throughout the whole vacation. I experienced two times that some Karens were racist towards me🙄 but overall Germany is nice especially the nature and their pastries. 🌚

I had a chance to go to Germany in high school but unfortunately the paris bombing happened and it got cancelled and I have been thinking about it ever since! The scenery is so beautiful and I am sorry you had that experience, the only thing that had kept me from Germany is some stories from black people. 🤔 I gotta really think about it watching this now lol BTW a really popular trend on tiktok is for black people to rate their experiences in different countries, you should probably do that I feel like it would be dope insight since you have traveled a lot.

The architecture gives me Snow White vibes or something 😂Yeah there’s been some people here and there being “extra” especially on the train and the taxis. Other than that, it’s pretty nice. Still prefer Korea over everything because the exchange rate is goated and the public transportation is too and the Koreans look at me like I’m a baddie all the time🥳 and not a sloth so it’s cool

During 3rd year for our trip to Germany right before she went my teacher said "Don't be scared or worried, there are black people there too"...Like I wasn't but now I feel like I should be. I have a feeling that in some (not all) European, Asian, & African countries (cause I have been to some) they don’t really discriminate based on color and more so based on nationality. They find out your American or they hear you speak English and they treat you like shit. I even have some friends from London and they told me that every time they go to other countries where English isn’t the first language, they end up getting treated like shit when some hear them speaking in English. American or British accent lol, similar treatment. But I feel like they have something against Americans specifically. Would you agree? Just wondering. I’m saying that cause I’m originally Egyptian and lived in Egypt for a bit (most of my life grew up here in the US tho) and I never knew someone could get discriminated against due to their skin color until I came to the U.S. because I realized I was getting treated differently than other students at my school because some would think I’m African American when they see me but when I started talking they would realize I’m not (at the time my English was horrible). And in Egypt, a lot of the racist weirdos there they usually judge based on nationality… so if they saw someone from the U.S. and some from Israel, the person from Israel would get treated like shit compared to the person from the U.S. (and that was before all the Palestine/israel things were this talked about).
