2024-05-26 13:16:57 +0000 UTCAs any one would if they are willing to learn hence why the classes exist, and she is from Cuba where just like all over the world it’s been instilled into them that having brown or darker skin isn’t ok, and not just to black people, for example in the Philippines they literally have billboards telling/promoting them to bleach their skin and straighten/relax their hair when it is naturally curly. So I think I was hood for her to take those classes cause it means she was willing to go against what was TAUGHT to her. There is even a documentary on people who used to be racist and have finally learned that it isn’t ok and see life in a different way

Every now and then (really only twice so far) she gets a good lil melody on a nice beat with a good vocal producer who can hide her singing and makes something worthwhile. Normani gets on my nerves lol, I don’t know why She would do her big comeback to this mediocre song and NOT RELEASE A VIDEO WITH IT. I know she’s trying to be seen as a proper singer and not Ciara or something whose popularity largely relies on her dancing abilities, but I definitely think the times her songs have been a moment, it was aided by fantastic music videos with great choreography.
