I have gotten a few requests for 1890s gowns, and I decided to make a small set based on the early parts of the decade, suitable for warmer seasons. The silhouette during this time is very interesting, as the sleeves are just starting to grow into leg-of-mutton, and the skirts still have a small and defined bump left from the 80s.

I decided to add a large, brimmed hat trimmed with plumes, ribbons, and flowers to the 1890s set I am working on. It will be compatible with my late Victorian hairstyles, as demonstrated in the above image.

I'm so glad to finally be able to get this small 1865 collection out. It was tricky figuring out the meshes since they don't resemble anything base game. I might add overlays later down the line, but I wanted to get this out first as overlays take time.

I absolutely adore everything early 1900s, and now that I finally learned how to create a transparent mesh (which is annoyingly easy considering all the tutorials are so complicated...) I am more empowered than ever to emulate the lacy airiness of such garments.
This took me way longer than I expected, as I changed my mind a lot during the process, but I finally landed on something I was happy with.

This was originally intended to be a set of only two hairstyles, but as I discovered more and more that I thought was missing from the Sims, it ended up being a full collection of 14 items. These are based on hairstyles from about 1870-1890 and should work alright for each decade. It's far from perfect, but I think it's still a useful set ❤

I adore so much of the CAS that came with Life and Death, but most of it had really limiting colors. I decided to recolor the cameo necklace to be more versatile and made it BGC, meaning you do not need to have the Life and Death Expansion to use this necklace!

I've been slowly trying to expand my color palette to include more variations between shades and deeper, darker colors. I’ve settled on a palette that contains 32 colors, as shown above.
These will be my regular swatches, although changes may be made. Some items will have double or even triple the number of swatches due to different combinations, but these will be the colors used.

I fell in love with Belle's tea dress from Walter Crane's 1874 illustration of Beauty and the Beast:
