This is a lie, she did it like that because she literally is talking in whistle tone which is why it sound airy it was not forced at all

I really feel like that last part was a run-of-the-moment type of thing and she had to follow through, or, she did it better during her rehearsal and it wasn't as executed well during the performance.

Major bless up! That last part was whistle note territory and it is impressive but I would have preferred if she made it more head-voice-like instead of going for the rasp and airy sound. I wasn't a fan of that part either.

2021-08-04 16:04:48 +0000 UTCYeah the high notes towards the end sounded too harsh and forced. Wouldn’t be surprised if it strained her voice cause she pushed it a bit too much.💀 The studio version is much cleaner tho so thats good.

2021-08-04 16:03:30 +0000 UTCI love the setup too. Honestly you can’t have rnb without them purple lights 😂. It’s more of a Soul RnB track but the trumpet really brings in that jazz. This is my favorite performance and favorite off the album. It’s way more jazzy live than on the actual album. But yeah I know ppl like the high notes they were just to breathy for me. Studio was so much cleaner and less in your face 😭😂
