Ooblets is now out on Steam!

It feels like it's been just a day or two since development started...

Hopefully we're not rushing things by launching on Steam now!

But seriously, I want to thank all of you so much for your support and kindness over the years. It's definitely been a journey--and it's still not over! We have another update coming very soon (Oobmobiles!) and we have a couple other ideas we want to play around with after that.

The Ooblets Halloween Event is now ALIVEEEE

There's trick or treating, new costumes, and a spooky riddle-filled quest.

The event will end on Nov 6th so be sure to play before then!

v0.8.11 Mini-Update!

Thanks for making the Port Forward launch in June such a fun experience! Our next big milestone is the v0.9 "Secret Update" for later this year, but before then, we're going to be releasing a couple smaller bugfix and content patches, like this one, 0.8.11!

The big new change is per-room wallpaper and flooring in the player house. We know a bunch of folks have been asking for it so we're super happy to be able to support it now.

Plobpen development reel (+ finished product)

Hi everyone! We're only 5 days away from the launch of our big Port Forward Update to Ooblets, and we're sharing a bunch of behind the scenes stuff leading up to it.

Plobpen is one of the minigames you can play in Port Forward, and it's maybe our favorite one!

The idea is to build fences around the plobs and try to fence off as much empty space as you can without any of the plobs running into your fences while they're being built.

Wildlands Update (hopefully) coming soon!

I know a lot of folks have been looking forward to our Wildlands Update that we're a bit late with, so I wanted to give everyone an update.

I'm working really hard on the update and probably have another 7 days of work left on it I'd imagine. Unfortunately the baby has been difficult the last couple weeks, and particularly the last couple days, which has slowed me down a lot.

New animations and screenshots to tide you over!

Now that there's a lot less for me to show off on the new systems front, I've been focused on fixing the millions of bugs to get us to certification. It's a lot of boring stuff that wouldn't work too well to feature in patreon posts, but thankfully we have our animator Dave to fill in the gaps!

He's been putting together some hand-crafted screenshots and animations that might end up in a trailer or main menu screen or in-game.

Dialogue we'll probably be changing...

As we were playtesting recently, we realized a bunch of the lines we wrote last year for Churles, the resident clothing designer and phobia-laden hypochondriac, were going to be read in a much different context than that which they were written.

Ben had written all these to sort of poke fun at his own predilection for these sorts of thoughts, but it turns out they weren't all that far off the mark unfortunately.

Badgetown Map WIP

Bree has been working on this wonderful town map illustration for us to use in the game. It will probably be used to show where you can find some town projects and possibly NPCs (although that might get a bit too busy).

We wanted to do something that was kind of like a touristy/theme-parky map look.
