I remember how many got mad at bighit whenever the label acted as a business that still needs money coming in instead giving free things to fans. I also think that english is nice cuz it also works for non Korean speaking fans. English is a language that international fans use to communicate in the most, whether it's their first language or second/third. So many liked that they could have songs to along to with ease. I was once in a groupchat on IG with armys from Australia, Europe, Hawaii, korea/other asian countries especially Philippines, and even other hispanic armys and we spoke in english and had fun connecting with things that werent just bts but about cultures,life and school/jobs,etc. We would even send voice notes to try to learn phrases from eachother languages,it was nice ,so english isnt a bad move. I also think the members have shown enough of their pride in being korean men. Even as they grow, they still say they will serve their nation because they love it. so when fans who say they are becoming western,I'm not surprised bts trolled them in IDOL. It's annoying how fans or even the media try to call bts westernized or try-hards when bts are happy, and making money

And a girl made a video explaining how, people gotta understand that sometimes it’s not about what the fans like it’s about what is a good business move, and making English songs is a good business move in the U.S cause they won’t play any of BTS Korean music on the radio. And expect it’s pop they know these western Americans will eat that shit up😭 for example the song Dynamite they made got 1billion views on yt you know how much money that probably made them.
