But the media would still get at her shape. Many koreans do love her and consider her iconic but the media would definitely bash her. Idols like hwasa,rm,jhope and jessi dont follow Korean beauty standards but they are considered kpop artists that many international fans can differentiate the most from other faces and voices. Like how u recognize hwasa from her members or first remembered rm when he knew the most English or jessi with her visuals,image and even voice. In the west, they are very popular among international fans

Ok so my paragraph of the day- Hwasa's baptismal name is Maria. She gets incredible hate for many reasons. Many koreans generally love hwasa, she is one of their biggest IT GIRLs. But the media in kpop still bash her ,many koreans again dont care about the korean beauty standards but the shitheads who do, attack hwasa for not fitting them. Hwasa also has a more grown look and sex appeal that would be considered overwhelming for kpop standards. Jessi for example is a fan and friend of Hwasa, and basically what jessi went through,hwasa went through as well but for different reasons. Their sex appeal doesnt fall under the modest standards of kpop, both have more mature looks or looks that dont follow kpop beauty standards and both have openly called out the media and many internet haters despise when female idols are very straight up because it's harder to bring them down. In korea itself though, hwasa is very popular and mamamoo is very respected as one of the more charismatic, mature and vocally talented kpop girlgroups. Mamamoo also come from a smaller company like bts did, and they had to seriously work hard to get bigger, many kpop groups had to work hard but groups like bts and mamamoo had to bring something more to the table simply to get noticed because they came from labels that couldnt afford more promotions or resources. Mamamoo became popular with their vocal skills and how natural they in being themselves even in camera. Yet mamamoo got incredible hate too and the members like hwasa were "easy targets" whenever toxic fans saw mamamoo surpassing their favorites.

The longer time between cycles means there are more diamond members and more diamond members means more money in Dee’s pockets, stop tryna stop her like are y’all high. Hey Dee, I kinda figured you wouldn’t like the song but I’m glad you like her and that you see what I see in her. I’ve noticed that’s a trend with my requests 😅 but, Maria is a representation of Hwasa herself or rather former unconfident self, an alter ego of sorts, in Korea Hwasa is considered ugly and overweight even fat. But it doesn’t just speak for her it sheds light on unrealistic Korean beauty standards which it’s pretty much what you said, petite, pale skin, specific and ridiculously unrealistic facial structure and features, this song unintentionally became an anthem for all those who do not fit in that standard or maybe it was intentional, anyway ‘Maria’ is her catholic baptismal name not sure if she is catholic but, I digress thank you so much for enjoying the video at least and I hope I can request something that you thoroughly enjoy song and video in the future, like when I requested IDEA by Taemin. She is honestly one of the most hated on idol’s just because of the reasons that u listed,she is very charming, has a sex appeal that isn’t to Koreas standar perception of how women are supposed to be.
