pre-release status update #2

I’ve finally completed all the content for v15. The last 5% was absolutely maddening. Now, we’ll spend some days proofreading and debugging, and make the update ready as soon as we can.

Creating Juliana’s new plots was a real struggle. Frankly speaking, I’m not good at writing romance stories between the MC and girls like Juliana or Molly — pure girls who are much younger than him and see him as a mentor. I feel like if he acts too active, it might easily look like a hypocrite taking advantage of their innocence. I’d much rather write the MC pursuing stronger women with higher status, where his actions can be freer and less morally constrained.

Molly and Juliana are the main girls from v13 to v15(Molly for v13, v14, and Juli for v15). Crafting stories I’m not good at for three consecutive updates has left me mentally drained and much less efficient. I’m truly sorry for keeping everyone waiting.

While working on v15, as with nearly every update, I kept creating and rewriting over and over again. I wanted to find the perfect path for Juliana. At first, I planned to introduce Irene as a mysterious powerful figure to lead Juliana’s story to a new dimension, but I soon realized the game already has plenty of “mysterious powerful figures” — Fuying, Enyora, Novella — and people might be tired of this trope already. So I scrapped that idea, even though I’d already written nearly half of the story.

Then I tried focusing on Juliana’s growth, about how she becomes a better vigilante. But her growth is inevitably tied to the MC’s guidance, which will make him seem more like a mentor and less like a romantic partner. So I scrapped that idea too, even though I’d already created many renders of Juliana fighting in her new costume.

In the end, I finished Juliana’s new content, but it took far more time and energy than I expected. Over the past ten days, I’ve worked hard to polish her plots, including abandoning her fxxtjob (holy shit I can't believe this word is banned on this website) scene and replacing it with a new erotic scene that suits her character better (the foot scene will be in the future updates). I hope the final result will satisfy most people.
