Mid-update report and new peeks

First of all, I would like to thank you for waiting patiently for the incoming update of V.I.R.T.U.E.S. The expected releasing date of v0.6 for $5 patrons is in mid-May, as I have announced in the previous post.

For now, I would like to briefly introduce to our patrons about some major stuff we are going to have in v0.6:

1. Girl's attributes

After your relationships with girls change from "general" to "girlfriend"&"sex partner", their attributes will show up in their panels.

And then, you can get the chance to level up her attributes and trigger the corresponding plots by raising her love points as you did before.

2. No "lust" anymore

Currently, girls in this game have two values: love points and lust points. But what can lust do so far? Absolutely nothing. What does it really represent? No clue at all.

So yeah, "lust point" was a mistake that we made when we first designed this game, and now, we decide to fix this mistake.

In v0.6, "lust point" will be removed and replaced by a new value. As you may have found out in the above image, the fire icon that used to represent "lust point" now has a new name: H.A. It is the initialism of "harem acceptance”, which is the new value that replaces "lust point".

3. Harem acceptance

As you should have already known, V.I.R.T.U.E.S is a game about harem fantasies. But to be honest, I didn't really know how to lead the story into a harem route appropriately until now because this idea of harem doesn't seem to make sense in a world without brainwashing, corruption, slavery, or polygamy law. I mean, seriously, how would a girl with common sense ever accept to share her boy with other girls in modern society?

Unless... she loves the boy so much that she would do anything to please him, and in the meantime, she also maintains super close friendships with other girls who hold exactly the same idea as her. Hmmm... yeah, now things start to make a little sense.

So in order to record how close the girls are with each other and how likely they are to share the MC together, we decide to make this "harem acceptance" value into the game. All the plots & events that have more than just one girl in will now raise the H.A points of those girls, for example, the event of the MC patting Irene, Vera, and Uno's heads in v0.5 will now raise the H.A points for Irene, Vera, and Uno.

New plots will be unlocked when the H.A points of certain girls are high enough (won't be in v0.6 since I am too busy working at Elisa and Uno's storyline). And in the future, when all the girls' H.A points are high, you will be able to get into the harem route.

So far that is all I want to share with you. Now let's have some peeks:

Comments

The problem with haram in real life is not finding willing partners. Most women won't do that and it would he hard to convert a girl who expects monogamy but some are willing to be in a poly relationship if you look for them. No, the problem is the math. Everyone has a relationship with themselves -- proof is that you can lie to yourself, be happy with yourself, hate yourself, be proud of yourself, etc. You have to keep that relationship healthy. So if you have one lover there are 3 important relationships involved: you with yourself, her with herself, and the two together. If you have 2 lovers there are 6 relationships to maintain. If you have 3 lovers there are 15 relationships to maintain. The numbers grow faster and faster until there just are not enough hours in the day to make it work. But this is a game. A fantasy. So we don't have to think too hard about all that.

I think about a famous Chinese novel---鹿鼎记, it is a story about a dirty and clever guy how to marry with 7 beautiful girls with different indentities, princess, nobel girl, female soldier or other's wife

... and polygamy is what is written in the post

Crab Shack

I really like your idea on moving into harem acceptance in a more realistic manner while it still being a harem fantasy. I definitely like the concept more than something like resorting to mind control or corruption.

gun506 .

Polygamy is specific to multiple partners in marriage, while polyamory is a sexual relationship with multiple partners. So, I think polyamory works better with what he said.

gun506 .

Polygamy, not polyamory

Crab Shack

Polyamory is much more common than you might think. Though I don't think it's about being in a Harem, as much as it is in being in a loving relationship with more than one person.
