I think what the problem is, for anime only watchers Season 1 follows the manga, season 2 is a bit of a anime only story season that doesnt follow the manga fully, and season 3 goes back to following the manga again, so it can get very confusing. For manga readers season 2 is a complete disaster and season 3 is a bit rushed. So character dynamics and development that should have been established in season 2 wasn't, but with season 3 following the manga again it acts like anime only watchers know about these dynamics being formed. I know some reactors who decided to read all of season 2s manga content, so they can understand a bit more.

Also Kaneki joined Aogiri tree to enter the world of ghouls and learn more about it wihout spoiling to much. Not neccesarily a aogiri loyalist or anything like that.

2025-03-25 23:08:01 +0000 UTCThere are some scene in the other seasons that are really beautiful, I watched the anime without reading the manga and even if some of the manga it’s cut, I still enjoyed the show. The manga reader are over reacting about that, if you continue to watch it you will realize that it still worth it even if something it’s “missing”. To be honest I understand it all, it would be sad quit only after 2 seasons, unless you are reading the manga

The manga on the other hand is really good. The reason the show gets bad is mostly because they start rushing things to much and leave stuff out from the manga , and you're just watching it and get confused. On the other hand season 2 is still really solid , season 3 is also fine but season 4 is legit dogshit
